Just got the BG-E7 grip for the 7D today. Going to try using the L plate for the 30D with grip do see if it works at all. I just really need to figure out how to make this more comfortable to hold. The E1 handstrap will only help for landscape shooting. Any ideas how to make it more comfortable for portrait shots?
Miz - what specifically do you want to see? There are plenty of pics on the net. Look here:

There are images on pages 4 & 5, maybe more. If there is something specific you are looking for let me know and I'll try and post.
srika - it's just that it is heavy and bulky, so I want something to add stability and support. I have the handstrap and heard it is a great help when using the grip, but it only works in landscape. The ergonomics of the grip in portrait are fine, but it's still awkward because of the bulk/weight and my not-so-large hands.

i just didnt bother searching.
"I was in line at the camera store, new 7D in-hand, ready to pay. I had to pickup the grip at checkout. I got to the front of the line, and saw what the grip looked like. GOOD GOD!!!!!!!! I put the 7D on the counter and RAN out the store!!!!!!!!!!!!! f*ck that sh*t"
That being said, I read the reviews on the 7D grip. It's actually pretty stable. With the xxD cameras there is some wobble and over tightening might strip the gears.
On the 7D, I've read that it feels more solid, more like 1 piece.
Any comments moe?
