I think the sub-35mm frame sensors are going to stick around for a long time. I think where it's going to get interesting for pros is in the over-35mm market. The S2 has been a runaway sales hit for Leica and I think they'll steal some major market share from Hasselblad over the next few years in the upper end of the market. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Nikon and Canon come out with a larger than 35mm body and lens line if Leica's S2 continues to be so popular.
In completely different news, I got shafted on a good deal on ink for my 4880 today. I found out that B&H sells ink for about 40% less than my local vendor, even after the exchange rate and shipping is factored in. I loaded up my cart only to find out at checkout that they won't ship ink to Canada due to an agreement with Epson.
I still ordered a some paper because it was about 50% off what I find locally, and I convinced my friend to buy an S90 to help split the shipping costs.

“I’m in awe at the 39 megapixels I already have,” Creagh says of his medium-format system. “Yet, I do not trust my camera at ISO 200. I shoot exclusively at 50 or 100 speed. I just picked up the inexpensive [Canon EOS] 5D Mark II. It is fantastic, and with my 85mm ƒ/1.2 lens at ISO 800 and up, I’m taking shots my Hasselblad can’t even dream of.”
Adds Bradley, “I select the best tool, regardless of price. Though the Hasselblad is more expensive, it’s just a job or two to pay for it. I wouldn’t sacrifice quality for that reason, though for some photographers, I can see how the economics would be different.”
This probably could have gone in Srika's "location" thread (a.k.a the Tao of Photography thread) but I thought I'd throw it in here.

Just curious if anyone feels this quote applies to them. If so, who/what/when? A single image seems like somewhat of an idealistic example.
I can’t really say there was ever one specific image that lit a fire like this quote, but for me, it was definitely the work of one photographer. I started getting back into the hobby about eight months or so before a family trip to Alaska. That state just blew me away when I was there. When I got home I started searching for pictures of the remote parts of Denali National Park which lead me to the work of Galen Rowell which I basically fell in love with. There's just something about his work that really speaks to me.

flickr question... do you ever notice certain users on flickr who will have like 50-80 comments per picture, and the pictures are not like "all" that? I mean, they are like decent pictures, but in terms of the rest of the shots on flickr, I would say they are average? what's going on there? and also, each such picture might have 80-110 views or so. What I'm saying is, most of the people who are looking at these pictures are commenting. Does anyone know what's going on there?
Yeah certain groups require comments. I tend to avoid them since they usually have idiotic images that must be pasted in comments, which I think looks tacky.
The only exceptions for me are the Lines and Curves group, and the Urban Geometry group. Both pools usually have good, quality stuff posted, and I like to participate in them.

^^To add, it's also why I try to leave comments as often as possible on my contacts photos. It's nice when someone acknowledges your shots, and a lot of my contacts are from right here, and there's some darn good work being put out.
canonrumors implies that the 70-200 F2.8 IS is going to take a dive in price,
due to the 70-200 F2.8 IS (version 2) coming out.
I haven't been paying attention to it, but Adorama is selling it for $1800 after rebate which seems cheap - wasn't it floating at $2K for a while?

The photo with the most views on my flickr account is one of two women's butts from halloween. Such is the nature of the internets.

This one is by far my most viewed, at 1380 look-sees.

I like to think I've done better work than this.
I must not have any t&a shots, since this is my most viewed at 1292!<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/moxiephotos/289389988/" title="Meditation by MoxiePhotos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/121/289389988_c0a692d446.jpg" width="500" height="500" alt="Meditation" /></a>
