I guess Sony is trying to save money (well I don't blame them) - the RX100 does not come with a printed manual.

Besides, one can argue that it's "greener " going paperless.
yea, alot of devices are starting to not come with them.
with smart phones and tablets and PCs you can just download the PDF of the manual and look at it there.
less crap to carry, saves companies on shipping and packaging material and saves trees and fuel.

with all the advancements being made in photo industry, I'm annoyed that nobody is making a 15-135 or something around there, that works with FF. It can be f/4.0 on the wide end.
basically a UWA zoom. it could even be 15-70 or 15-50. it doesn't have to be that big a range.
the 17-40 is close but that 40mm is just not enough many times. and 17 is not wide enough many times.

Nikkor 1200-1700mm: The Mother of All Super Telephoto Nikon Lenses. Weighing in at 36 pounds and measuring nearly 3 feet in length, the manual focus lens was introduced in 1993 and had a hefty price tag of $60,000.

why cant my Blackberry have better low light ability to catch a quick moving object?I was in PBR Baltimore the other night, and the attention whore were lining up to ride the mechanical bull in their dress' and mini skirts, KNOWING that every time one of them does, at first the front of her panties is totally exposed, and 3 out of 5 of them then end up laid out over the front of the bull with her ass in the air, skirt bunched up to her belly button
I was thinking something about patents - you know how Apple sued Samsung for that stuff - I wonder how Canon feels about companies blatantly ripping off their S-series focus ring?
That seems like a much more tangible and arguable design function, I mean compared with the kind of things Apple is suing for. Apple = blood thirsty monopolistic carnivores
