probably wont work because the lens is designed to work with a 4/3 sensor. ie. the lens sits can sit much closer to the sensor.

hmm. i dont see how something isnt possible - the adapter moves the lens away from the sensor gives it clearance.

its not about clearance. its about focusing, the way focus point of the light so it can hit the sensor properly.

hmm but if a EOS lens can work on a 4/3, I don't see why not the other way around

because the EOS adaptor puts the lens further away from the sensor. so the focal point of the lens can hit the 4/3 sensor properly.

best shown with how a lens works.

the focal point is where the sensor is placed in cameras.

with a 4/3 designed lens, the f is much shorter and cant be changed. thus you would never get an infocus image.

its all about physics

lol..... this is so crazy... there's this new breed of photographer so hell-bent on getting all of their verticals straight (I'm talking for architecture or interiors) that they'll do it to the point that the rest of the shot becomes totally WACK looking. But since they are OCD about verticals being straight, they don't notice that "other" side effect. Has anyone else noticed this on any shots? Or is it just me.

One thing though, T/S lenses can cause this to happen SOOC, with certain tuning. I'm not as perturbed by that, as I am when it happens via software distortion correction.

I'm NOT one of these guys, but I have to admit sometimes it does bother me, I'll fix it but not to a point where it affects everything else...

Here's example:
BEFORE

AFTER

Last night, when I was fixing this one, and realized that when the corner edge of the building was completely vertical, the rest of the picture was just f'd up, so I backed off on it.

yeah, you're definitely not one of those people. I'd rather not post one of their photos - what I'll do is take my own and show you the effect on that. Stay tuned.

So, I'm seeing a lot of unhappy, in some cases pissed off people that makers of iPhone/Ipad apps are now starting to make their apps for the Mac App store. I bet these are the same people that laugh at Mac users a few years back that were upset that they couldn't get software they wanted for their Mac's.

Oh Well, buy one or live with being on the other side now.

sorry, it's probably old, but it's new to me. It's like a photography mindfuck

stare at the colored dots on this girl’s nose for 30 seconds, then quickly look at a white wall or ceiling (or anything pure white) and start blinking rapidly. Congratulations, you just processed a negative with your brain!

I shot the Charleston Marathon the weekend before last and still have a bit of numbness in my middle finger from the ackward holding position of camera on monopod for 6.5 hours. Guessing I pinched a nerve or something.

Anybody has one of those waterproof kitted P&S camera? I'm looking to rent it for 3 weeks.. It'll be used at my honeymoon trip. Willing to pay some for it, of course.

annoying when people tag their photos in Flickr
"This photo falls outside your current SafeSearch filter.
You can click through to see it if you want."

and you click on it thinking you're gonna see some but it ends up to be just a normal picture

Lightroom HELP!!

I'm starting to get this a lot now when I go to export my photo to save... I have 3GB of RAM, but from doing some research, I don't think it's my outdated laptop... anyone else have this issue?

yeah, I've pretty much closed everything... sometimes it'll give this message even if my Chrome browser is running, so if I close it, then I'll be able to export a few more photos, but then eventually, I'll get this message AGAIN

I've been restarting as a last resort, but will only get about 5 photos before it starts up again. I've been saving the photos (when I can) to an external hard drive, it's 2TB

What about HD space on your laptop? If its full maybe there isn't enough room for a large enough page file, meaning poor performance since you only have 3GB of RAM.

And yea maybe that thing srika said
