yeah, these are wedding photos.

this video of mine has gone over 111k views, I think maybe because its kind of funny and dorky (and then because the LFA is interesting)

she sent me some sample photos, from the way she described it, I expected them to be severely underexposed, horrible composition, bad lighting, etc. etc. probably taken with an entry-level type camera. That's what I was expecting. The photos are quite nice. Taken with a D700, the lighting is nice, composition is good too. This girl is bitching about her hair, the wrinkles in her dress, her dress is "showing too much" on the front (I'd have to agree on that lol), the wrong pair of shoes in one photo-set (they were supposed to be different shoes), the color of her hair, her makeup, and the background. Now, tell me how many of those variables have to do with the photographer. LOL.
Argh. I do hope you pointed that out to her...

I did. And she agreed most of those things are her doing, I mean she told me she didn't take time to look in the mirror that day. Must have been rushed for sure, but damn. It's disappointing just reading her bitch about all this stuff, I really feel for wedding photographers that might be one of the most challenging and stressful gigs. While I have covered a few it has always been for people I know so there hasn't been that challenging factor of delivering to a client.

I know what you mean Rubin, I cant imagine how stressful it must be trying to appease the bride, or her family. Nevermind dealing with all the people trying to wrestle in to get pictures of their own, completely ignoring the fact that theyre now in the way of the photographer that is being paid to compose the shot that theyre screwing up

I'm still going back and forth with her about this, I pretty much laid it out on the line for her in plain English, I told her she was wrong for saying it was all her photographer's fault, etc. etc. Alright, we decided to stop discussing it. lol

* When the camera doesn't support live view mode, the Gigtube can still allow user instantly review shooting result from its screen and can use the shutter release function on the Gigtube.

Kind of like you deleted the bachelorette party pics You can just make them non-public in flickr, you know.

For the live view thing, did you check the link for the android DSLR Controller? - for a camera with Live View, that is.

aw hell naw. IIRC (and I do) it was you who suggested I delete those and I agreed with your reasoning, so I did. these photos are nothing like that anyway, it's just that when you look at the photo one of the things that your eye is drawn to - well my eye and hers, seeing how she addressed it - is that particular "area" of the photo.

I don't have an Android device. And, I would rather not do it with a phone, I want a dedicated hardware device for it.

Yes, it was me that made the comment, and for better or worse, still believe it was the right thing to do. Not to say it had to disappear, just not completely public. But that goes for a lot of shots that I'm pretty sure you have kept to yourself.

I can understand not wanting to use a phone, but you can also use a tablet. A 7" might work well. I haven't tried this yet, but want to.

Edit: nevermind about the tablet idea. I didn't see how small that screen was. Not even close to the same size as a tablet.

I shot this last night with the GF-1, it's the 7D display at 2x zoom live view with the 200mm + 1.4x extender. You can actually see the moon moving. Excuse the movement of the display, I had to periodically adjust something on the 7D, since it kept turning off due to inactivity. If you don't like the song mute it.

Yeah, clean it yourself, use compressed air, shooting across the opening, to stir things up. Then use a vacuum to suck out anything it can. Then clean the sensor with a swab. I suggest these;

Someone will likely charge you double because that thing is so dirty.

If you use it (the swabs) the correct way, you'll have no problem.

nothing to worry about, super simple. Set the mirror lock, put a few drops of the solution on one side of the swab (I use the same ones as Jup) Then drag across the sensor with the wet side, then flip and drag back the other way with the other side of the swab. I have done mine multiple times and never had a problem.

I cant believe someone would charge $150 for that. I think I paid $45-50 for a box of swabs and the solution.

Trust me, you are more than capable of doing it. But if you are that worried, wait until next time. Just go on youtube and watch a video, very simple.

I've have been ask to pay double for one a few years ago, because it was so dirty. That's when a paid $20 for a 3pack of pre-moisten swabs and did it myself.
