Great dog shot! I am glad you got down to his/her level for the shot. Makes it so much more involving.

We have a hummingbird that lives in a tree in our back yard. For months I have quietly been around him.

I think he is cooling himself with the pool water.

I was within 3 feet of him in all of these pictures.

got to try out the new 85mm f1.4 tonight. My friend's son plays in a jazz band, and was playing in Downtown Disney tonight

(but this isn't her son)

this girl was one of the people really getting into the jazz music... VERY sexy! Especially when she started swing dancing

We have several at our home. When I refill the feeder, I can hold it in my hand and they drink from it! Pretty suite. You can feel the wind from the wings and you can see their feathers really good. Hopefully one doesn't peck my eye out one day.

went paintballing for the first time today in almost a year. I didn't want to risk getting hit by any paintballs with the good lenses, so I dug out the kit lens

I know the composition is like "w/e," but I'm pretty impressed how a simple Lumiquest light modifier balanced the light.

thanks...you're right..it's not a very flattering shot...once a month there's a group of local photographers that hold a strobist meet..they let you use all their equiptment (softboxes,triggers,etc...) and teach you how to use them..they also bring models who volunteer...they have meetups at different locations and teach whoever attends...it's pretty cool..the best part is that it's free...obviously it's not my usual style of shooting but i like going to learn new things and mostly to meet new people who are eager to teach...

thanks...that was actually a dock..but yes...we have tons of piers and docks here...makes for some good sunrise/sunset pics...at that particular location..there were about 50-75 docks lined up along the st.johns river...

Cool shots Q!

A little heavy on the saturation in the first one IMO, but it's a matter of taste.
