There’s a difference when you buy something from a restaurant vs employing a cook in your own kitchen for a specific purpose. If you can’t understand that,…???
The point is Tesla is not fully dependent on third parties and Panasonic knows it. Therefore they will try their best to keep Tesla happy.

Not to mention that the Teslas made in China (which may end up producing more than Fremont) are fully dependent on CATL and LG Chem (!) for their batteries.
With Panasonic basically just fulfilling their contractual requirements to Tesla, and the behemoth that is Toyota (with a longer and closer relationship to Panasonic) waiting in the wings, is it any surprise that Tesla was rumored to be in talks to buying BYD batteries as well?

Attorney: Objection, Your Honor, this is speculation. Comfy has no direct knowledge of anything on this subject. He merely comes up with arguments that are designed to support his Tesla-fandom.

There’s definitely room for improvement. But legacy has miles for improvement. LOL.

Legacy doesn't tell customers the car can drive itself.

Anyway, here are my thoughts based on that 10 minute video.
I would rather have the Blue Cruise vs my Autopilot. I already don't trust this thing to drive on city streets based on my own personal experience and the system I have, which is the most recent you can get given my car was built in May. If you are trusting your car to full self drive all the time even on city streets, you are asking to get in a crash that is 100% avoidable all for the honor of paying an extra $10k for a beta test so that part of the system is already pointless to me. What I do trust my car to do is to drive itself on highways like in the video but, instead of simply looking at the road and the car being able to tell that you're doing it, I have to tug on the wheel every 30s-1min for the entire time I'm driving and that's annoying AF. Having to tug on the wheel 100% takes out any benefit of self driving since you have to constantly tell the car you're there rather than just looking at the road and the car driving indefinitely. Navigate while driving is super cool, I haven't had a chance to try it because I don't have the FSD package on my car but my test drive car did. My car, again without the FSD package, does not maintain autopilot when you change lanes. You have to manually change lanes and then manually restart the system after you're in the next lane. This is also annoying AF, even my Subaru will automatically reacquire the car in front and center itself after changing lanes (manually) without any further input from the driver. WTF is up with that?

EV vehicle not only unreliable for long term but stiff ride, heavy, larger size tires, cramped and much more depended on semiconductors.
MDX and Model Y has same weight but MDX is more spacious and better ride.

UBS analyst Francois-Xavier Bouvignies told CNBC last week that cars with internal combustion engines typically use around $80 worth of semiconductors in the powertrain, but electric vehicles use around $550 worth.

computer issue commands. type writer merely types. Electric vehicles are simply not competitive neither in manufacturing (super expensive semiconductor Fabs) (Lithium mining) (bigger tires) or in practical use.
They are unrefined junk for the price.

Whats up with RDX owners?

Saving this one for when you inevitably gag on Honda's cock when they release their next EV.

It's still a beta, and as they mentioned at AI Day there are still NN that don't operate in "vector space". I think they should all be incorporated by v10 or v11

I'm sure it's getting better, there's no doubt that it's getting better but it's still not even close to the point where you can take a nap in the back while the car drives.
Also this.

Honda next EV has minor sales expectations depend on lithium/cobalt/chip prices at time. and i may change mind on EV after solid state batteries are tested for while. now its fire hazard in close spaces. wide turning circle, non-luxurious ride, slow charging with short ranges. and cannot match body on frame vehicles.

Iron phosphate (lfp) batteries are making their way to the US

Why are some made with iron and some made with nickel? Aren't they lithium batteries anyway? Please elaborate more, curious to learn.

Wow a not shit post from Sam!
Nickel is the most common element in a Tesla battery, not lithium, lithium makes up less than 5% of the battery but lithium is the element that moves from the anode to the cathode. Tesla is using an Iron cathode battery instead of nickel cathode because LFP batteries are cheaper, easier to source materials since iron is easier to find than nickel, but LFP batteries have less energy density so they're mostly using them in their cheaper vehicles like the 3 SR+, they've been doing this in China for at least a year now. The downside is the vehicle is a little heavier since a 60kwh LFP battery weighs more than a 60kwh NCA battery, but as Elon said you can regularly charge LFPs to 100%
They're also using LFP batteries in utility energy storage solutions since energy density, weight, and size aren't very critical for stationary battery storage products.
Nickel batteries will be saved for their vehicles where energy density matters like cybertruck, Semi, and the more expensive longer-range versions of each model. Probably won't ever see the S or X with LFP, LFP's lower price also enables the $25000 Model 2 to be made
This was all discussed at battery day a year ago

One of the main complaints about the yoke is parking. Tesla rolled out an improved version of autopark feature that park in parallel and perpendicular spots, eventually, it should show up on all models but the improved version is S only for now

Yah... try that every time you park and you will get honked at 90% of the time...
Also with an empty parking lot like that, i am sure everyone can park with Yoke too.. just go straight and stop!
My car has that shit too.. takes about the same amount of time... most useless feature ever along with Gesture Control... showed it to my GF once and never going to use it again.

It’s not for everyone’s daily use, but a rare case use for some. I have a lady at my workplace, who seems to struggle everytime she tries to park in her Mazda. I had helped her with directions to park a couple times (for which she was very grateful too). The Tesla system would be perfect for her. Recently I saw that she had new scrapes on one side of her car, and I was not surprised.
