How is the view of the guages when you're sitting in the seat? It looks like they are hard to see.

I don't like that green, but it fits that car for some reason.

I'm not feeling the coupe design so much. The Sedan is nice in a generic sorta way. Gotta give them credit for the platform though.

That green is stunning! That grill is a little better than the one we've seen but I still think it's way too small and puny looking.

Also that 380GT badge looks ripped right off a Skyline lol

The two things I don't like - how the "Coupe" is badged in hand writing, and the 380GT badge.

That's it

It may seem a bit odd, but it all makes sense when you're sitting right behind them. They are not hard to see at all.

At least they didn't make it obvious and name it a "Highline 380GT" Why not just use the name Tuscani? It was the best name Hyundai have ever came up with.

Those green Genesis Coupe pics, I like it a lot.

I have no complaint about the Coupe and 380GT markings on the back. The rear end looks better with them markings than without, to me that is...

Decisions decisions...

Finishing law school in two weeks...

Do I want a 6 speed V6 Genesis coupe... or do I want a 335i Coupe?

Do I want a Hyundai or a BMW?

Honestly, the more I look at it, the more I think that this will be one of those "steal of a deal must have vehicles" for this generation.

Post Korean Debut...

From Worldcarfans...

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe made its world debut at the recent New York Auto Show impressing most of the attending press with both the looks and its rubber burning entrance. And in our never ending quest to bring our readers the most accurate local news from all over the world, we bring you the Korean debut of Hyundai's brand new Genesis Coupe.

The car is painted poison green but the Hyundai display stands out in a few ways other than the vibrant color choice of the show piece. The Hyundai stand also featured a new 2.0 liter THETA I-4 twin turbo GDI engine capable of putting 290 hp to the road, only 13 hp less than its poison green big brother with the 3.8 liter V6, reports GenFans.com. Whether the engine is production ready or if it will ever leave the Korean peninsula is not mentioned in the official press release.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe will go on sale in Korea this September, followed by the US, Chain and other regions where it will take on cars like the Audi TT, Infiniti G37, BMW 3 series and Mercedes C Class.
I dunno...not a big fan of the green...but, I'm sure some will like it.

I was thinking she looked like she was out doing meth all night and then just threw on the dress and rolled up to the autoshow. Probably reeks of cigarettes and Jack Daniels.

I classify this green the same way as the Sundance Gold for the CL...it's neat, but not for me.

Just too...out there.

I think it's too extreme. I'd grow tired of the novelty quickly.

It's probably like the orange used on the concept model... Just for show... and not for production... It would be suprising to see the green and orange available on the production model.

In any case, this picture is a "good" presentation overall. Would've been better if they put up a younger girl there. But I don't mind this pic at all. It's very nice impression.

Guys, I wouldn't worry about the color. There are "other" colors available. Colors aren't the problem. What matters is the design of the car, which is nice.

^ with some nicer spark plugs and 93 octane fuel and ya're ready for 300 HP I-4 Turbo.

I wonder about the torque though. If it's considerably lower than the V6 version then Houston, we have a prob!

Any thoughts?

it'd probably be easier to get the 4B11 upto evo specs and get 290 that way. or just slap a huge turbo on it.

Ok

It's time.

We are approaching June now. We should start seeing Genesis Sedan cars in some of your local Hyundai dealers. I would love to hear anyone checking out the Hyundai's new hot rod. C'mon .... keep them coming. Update us with any latest info you might have.

So I went into a Hyundai delaership with a friend that was looking at some of their cars. I started talking about the Genisis to the Sales Manager and he said that Canada was only epecting 200-300 Genisis' for this model year; to "See how things go"

He also said that when the Coupe is released it will be available with a V6 and V8, no plans of a 4 cylinder...

Something tells me this Sales Manager doesn't know what he's talking about...

He'd misinformed...no V8 for the coupe. Hopefully they change their minds. The 4.6 DOHC V8 with the 6 speed in the coupe would be a winner.

When are people going to learn that the last place to get information about a vehicle is from the dealer.

**I would just like to point out that I typed that last post REALLY quickly, hence the stupid spelling errors** There, now I feel better

Moog, I always knew that dealers know jack shit about their cars. They are only as good as the information they're handed.

I was just a little gullible thinking that Canada was really only seeing a low amount of Genesis'. After he said the comment about the Coupe I knew he was full of it...
