Honda is not trying to match Audi in breaking. In fact, Audi has greatly improved in terms of not breaking. When was the last time you heard Audi have a major recall? Honda just had another, recently. It's Ironic that the recall was about brakes.

So if the RL isn't going to be discontinued, I wonder what they are going to do with it in the long term. Boost it's image by sending it up-market, or keep it where it is and have it go after 5series, A6, M and GS.

The prototype has the 420hp V8. I can't say for a fact that it will be in the production verison. I'm assuming that it will though. And as far as where I got this infromation .

Again it was just a prototype. Half the stuff on it won't make it's way to the actual production verison of the car. So sorry, but your just gonna have to wait . Do you have a 4G TL?

yes 4g base TL Tech. I had the SHAWD prior but someone totalled it, so i saved some money by buying a base instead.

honestly, even with SHAWD, neither vehicle is too fun. The Base model cannot handle that well, and the SHAWD, regardless of the fact it handles well, feel very heavy when going into turns. You can feel the weight and it's not a fun experience.

In contrast, the Audi A5 is quite heavy, but somehow manages to mask it's weight and still rip through turns with ease, very fun to drive.

Nope, only on the RL is it real. And that's only for the higher trim RL, the base model uses plood. Also, it's only on the dashboard - the door trim is plood on all RLs.

All the other Acuras are plood.

TL and TSX have in the past and it was never the real stuff. Legend/RL only and as pointed out, on the higher trim models such as LS/GS/Tech. It's hard to tell since it's so glossy it looks plastic. Personally I don't care since wood can shatter in a crash, it costs money that could be spent elsewhere.

If I want real wood, I'll buy a Bentley.
