They've said new gasoline engines are on the way. Likely being designed for use within a hybrid drive train so I doubt we'll see the J in either the next gen RL or this rumored coupe.

For the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon, Honda are preparing an NSX to promote the Honda aftermarket parts that are scheduled to go on sale at the end of May. These parts are being released 6 years after production of the NSX stopped.

What the shit?
That spoiler looks like a joke too. If you'd go with anything other than the stock spoiler, why not the NSX-R spoiler? Honda, Honda, Honda....

Now, honestly...if there was an existing or upcoming NSX, the news of this re-issue would not be so bad. I'd even be hell yeah...
But, really...don't reissue the freaking thing if you've got nothing new coming!

Ito-san changing his tune about HSV/NSX road car?
From TOV:
"Le Blog Auto is a french language automotive blog (you probably wouldn't have guessed that from its name), and today they are reporting that Honda CEO Takanobu Ito has changed his tune concerning the future of a super sports model from Honda. Based upon the google translation of the article linked below, there have been several clues from the media that Honda has re-started the sportscar project that was put on hold two years ago in the heat of the financial meltdown. To add fuel to those rumors, apparently when asked at a "Tokyo Sports" function held by Honda today, Ito-san actually responded in the semi-affirmative when asked about if there were any plans to introduce a road version of the HSV. Below follows is the google translation of the relevant text.
I can personally attest to the fact that in past media conferences, Ito-san has very quickly shot down any notion that Honda would be working on an NSX successor, so this report is definitely something very encouraging for Honda performance enthusiasts. "

Today was the presentation of a Tokyo sports Honda for 2011, including the Super GT is of course a prominent place since the manufacturer officially committed. President Takanobu Ito (stakeholder, remember, the first draft as head NSX chassis) was the presentation itself, as is customary, and has not escaped the famous question. But instead of evacuating the subject, as usual, his answer was surprising: "I have something in mind." Although not a definitive yes and frank, this is a clear change of attitude vis-à-vis past denials.
I can personally attest to the fact that in past media conferences, Ito-san has very quickly shot down any notion that Honda would be working on an NSX successor, so this report is definitely something very encouraging for Honda performance enthusiasts. "

Google translate does a rather terrible job, so here are the main points:
1. Honda is serious about answering the "voice" of demand to bring the NSX successor to the market.
2. A plan and objective has been set to make the NSX successor commercially available.
3. President Ito has made it clear(apparent) that development of NSX successor has resumed.
I would like to emphasize that the article states that the development HAS resumed! ( it does not say that it will or might, it specifically says it has resumed ).
Unfortunately it does not mention if whether or not the successor will be based on the HSV-010GT or the proposed reversed Accord platform.
The article does not mention if it will be a hybrid drivetrain.
It may be that a production variant will be derived from the Super GT car.
The following youtube videos explain some of the basis of the technology employed in the HSV- Formula Nippon based V8 engine, technology and parts taken directly from the previous SuperGT NSX, as well as other newer technologies.

Honda will probably produce the nsx successor they were working on but instead of a V10 like they were working on they will probably throw a 309hp J series in it. Or better yet a 309hp J series with IMA
