Yup....540hp for V10, 610hp for V10 Plus. I wonder what the pricing will be like. Current V10 is $154k, and V10 Plus is $174k.
My understanding is that there's just one actual production prototype (or may be 2?). So I wouldn't be surprised if the Chicago one is just a replica.

Honda probably got just one working car, the one I saw in Toronto was the exact same one from the Detroit show, but it was only on stage for 3 days, now on route to the Geneva autoshow. Same thing happened 3 years ago with the nsx concept car too.

Where the heck was it at the Toronto show? I briefly went through the Honda/Acura area and didnt notice it (wasn't looking that hard for it, although I'd have liked to have seen it).
Just noticed your comment (MSZ) about it being on stage for 3 days. Guess it was already gone when I was there.

PS. At least the new Ford GT40 was there. Acura 0, Ford 2.

The best display at the Toronto Car Show was at Ford. Not only Acura looked like the dollar-store compare to the Ford display but the people at Ford knew their cars, the heritage, the future plans, the engines etc. These were not just boys and girls hired just for the show, but have been Ford brand fanatics for a long time now.
Advice to Acura... hire a few AZiners for the next show !!!
PS. My vote for best staff member goes to the guy at Scion who obviously has tuned a few cars himself and knew his stuff 100%.

Are you sure it's not just the angle of the photo and lighting?
The addition of rear parking sensors is self-explanatory and it doesn't surprise me that the final exhaust/rear diffuser design hasn't been finalized yet as it's still at least 9 months away from production.

Makes you wonder....

I think it is just different trims. For example "base vapor", "filthy rich" and "more money than brains" trims
Well, lets see what the european journalists say when they see it up close in Geneva. Especially waiting to hear from the Brits who tend to be too critical of all things none-British. Lets see....
Now, I wonder if while it crosses the Atlantic ocean in a big ass container, will it change badges from A to H?

Clarkson loved it. He said it was the car he was most looking forward to this year when they showed the promotion pictures from Detroit on Top Gear a few weeks ago. Hammond, on the other hand, didn't really like it at all. May was pretty neutral.

I don't really care what Hammond thinks. If it's not a Porsche or an American car, Hammond isn't all that interested.

Clarkson is still drunk off the 1G NSX. He had really no reason to dislike the Ford GT and no reason to like this. He's just as likely to be disappointed as he is to be impressed, honestly.

More interested to know what Chris Harris or Henry Catchpole think of the NSX... assuming they drive it first.
PS. Clarkson? Seriously now...

Good grief. You brought up the British press. I mentioned someone from the British press. I don't much care whether you like the person (people) I mentioned.

And yes, the car was a mock up. Base model vs top end model will not lose backup sensors. Or have an entirely different exhaust. This is a 150k+ car, not a civic.
I strongly feel that one item that won't be on the base (maybe as an option?) that will likely be on the top end model is the ceramic brakes. That's a big ticket item. Not backup sensors, lol.
Members of nsxprime have already confirmed the NSX was a mock up awhile ago..

I believe thy had press passes and were able to see the car(s) up close. I know a couple guys saw the grand unveiling (legitimate) car up close, while at least one was able to see the mock up and confirmed that it was there just for show. Not sure if any of them were at both shows though.
Since this car will be "made to order", I don't think Acura plans on producing more than one of them for now until they go on sale. Plus, with the amount of car shows every year, it would be a lot of work to constantly ship that one working model all around the world and timing may simply just not work out. I don't think the general public is able to see the car up close at most of these shows anyway, so just having a mockup really is sufficient. I can see the real one ending up at the Geneva show though. I guess we'll see.
Seems to make sense though...

:osnap:
When the weather gets a touch better than -25 degree wind chills, I'm tempted to make the two hour drive to Marysville and knock on Klaus's door to get the scoop for yummy just so we don't have to listen to his snark anymore.
