i don't know florida law, is that how it is there?

here in cali you can do whatever you want to the back and rear windows, just not the pass and front windshield

except you can't make them more reflective than they were stock.. no mirror tints...

i don't know what a DT is... unless you mean defensive tactics... which i have no clue about how to become an instructor...

if DT means cop, in california after the hiring process of interviews, physical tests, psych screening, drug screenings, lie detectors, backgrounds, etc... which can take like 3mo-1 year depending on agency, there is a 7 month academy... and after that if you go to an agency with patrol there is like a 13-16ish week Field Training which you have to pass...

Can you say the streets are generally safe in SF or do you have a lot of your colleagues been killed? Cop sounds like an interesting job but a hell of a scary one. BTW I was listening to dave chapelle is the Tenderloin district really that bad.

They don't exactly have the greatest repuation either, not that I've ever dealt with them personally. Schenectady is one F-ed up little city though.

Do the gay officers have a hard time dealing with nasty remarks (from their peers)?

I also hear a disproportionate number of female officers are teh lesbian.

if you've taken drugs in the past, like in college or quite a few years past, and are truthful about it during the lie detector test, would you be pretty much assed for becoming an officer?

the loin sucks... its nasty... not as bad as some of oaklands avenues though...

the streets are real dangerous, its not as bad as compton/detroit, but oakland/richmond and some of SF can be dangerous...

its all dangerous though, every situation can get you killed... i have pulled many guns off people in all kinds of situations, including public intoxication.. just think of what would happen if they pulled those on me...

nope, just as long as your within specs for the agency time wise... they vary agency to agency, but average is like 6months from pot use, 2 years from coke/crack/meth(non injected)/x, 4-6 years for injected drugs, and never for LSD/PCP/Shrooms...

they expect people to be trying things these days, just dont do them ever again

Ok back to the questions: Can you abolish any offenses that might happen, in another city, say Vegas just as an example ?

In other words is your power only good in your county ?

vegas baby

my police power ends at the state line technically... but regardless, we really can't make things disappear... we can sign off other fixit tickets and *maybe* ask other cops to, uh, kinda miss court that day, but we can't like go into the computer and erase things...

well, technicall we can. we would just go to federal prison for it. no thank you

I know you have probably answered questions in regards about tints, but my question is can they really fine you the "$500" they state on the ticket if you don't pay off your tint ticket? I ask this b/c I got a ticket for my tints about 3 weeks ago and I had totally forgot about it until I found it cleaning out my glove box. Which also totally sucks since it went from $20 -> $30.

Thanks.

to this day, i swear that he nailed the truck that was passing me. big green pickup (local) in a small town in MD. and me in my shiny CLS (on the way to a funeral no less)
you answer the laser deal?

I used to live in upstate NY. Schenectady has just a bit of a crime problem (just a bit heh). One could argue that Troy (Troylet) was worse though.

o shit you work in SF?? haha what district

i know a few cops at the 6th ave or who used to work there...

o yea another question...why are you so against selling drugs? i knew a few friends who sold herb cus they really had nothing else going for them....they were unviolent and pretty much law abiding, except that they pushed...maybe coke dealers should get arrested but why pot??

LOL, lifted, he's said numerous times he won't say where he's working, that's too personal.

Your ideas of which dealers should be busted or not is laughable.

we don't really care much for the 10-99 foundation, at least in my patrol area...

none of those are ever guarantees, i've ticketed many people with ca sheriff's assn stickers....
