Do you look extra hard at people on their cell phones while driving to try and find some violation? If not, will you start? please??

I am building a Navi System but it can play movies/xbox too, can I be pulled over for having them playing even if I am not watching it (my passenger is)?

Have you ever given a ticket to someone that has been nice to you? I was going 90 in a 70 and was nice but the cop kept being mean. I even admitted to it and he hit me with a $180 ticket.

If I were to walk outside and someone was stealing my headlights and I shot him, would I go to jail?

If a group of people are trying to jump me and I pull out a gun (one owned legally) but they still try to fight me can I shoot them?

If I flash a fake gun at someone because they want to fight me or just in general pissed me off can I get in trouble?

Basically at what point are you allowed to use weapons to protect yourself?

If you work for the city and show the cop your city ID would that get you any leniency if you were speeding, or would it just piss the cop off for trying that?

How come you ask for our license and registration, knowing full well that the latter is kept in the glove box, but you flip out when we reach for the glove box?

I always put my hands on the steering wheel and tell the cop "I'm going to open the glove box now"..

I do the same. I also roll down all the windows and open the sunroof before the officer even gets out of his car.

You guys are funny. I only try to get pulled over at night. I then try to wriggle into the back seat and into the trunk pass-through. I come out after I hear the tow truck backing up.

have you or any cops you know ever had someone decline the breathalyzer, only to have them urinate in the back of your squad car as you're hauling them to the station? i've heard stories of this where people think pissing will lower their BAL enough so that they may pass by the time they reach the station.

What's the best thing about being a police officer?

Is is SOP to hate internal affairs?

How often do you take drug tests?

How many times have you fired your weapon on the street?

Have you ever feared for your life?

Do you ever actually pull people over for going too slow? Old people, foreigners?

Mexicans are a big problem down here in Houston. I swear half of them are illegals. If they do have alien status, what do you do with them?

At the point where you're protecting yourself ... someone stealing your headlights isn't a threat to you.

Just remember the simple lemma that the judicial system, however misguided, values all human life (including a criminal's) above any property.

is it possible to let other fellow law enforcement officers join Acurazine.com so that if they pull over someone with an Acurazine sticker, they know it's a fellow car enthusiast and whatever they were pulled over for, they didn't mean to do it so they only get a warning?

sorry for the long and improperly structured question

What works better to get yourself out of a ticket where you know you did something wrong in plain view of a cop.

A. Earnestly trying to explain why you commited a violation.
B. Admiting to the violation and not making any excuses.
C. Shut the fuck up and let you do all the talking.
D. Shut the fuck up and let you do the talking, then if you ask for an explanation tell the truth
E. Shut the fuck up and let you do the talking, then if you ask for an explanation make up the best story you can.

I just got a running a stop sign ticket. I am never combative with cops. When they pull me over I turn my music down, put my window down, and if it is nightime I turn on my dome light so that they can see into the car clearly. Anyway my ticket went down like this.

Cop: Do you know why I am stopping you?
Me: Yeah, probably because I didn't stop at that stop sign back there.
Cop: You got it. Any reason why you did that?
Me: Well I don't know if you saw that car in front of me but he was driving kind of indecisively and it looked he was going to come over into my lane, so instead of stopping and letting him hit me I kept going, I was trying to avoid an accident.
Cop: License and proof of insurance please, I'll be right back
**Comes back with a ticket**

The explanation was a half truth. The guy was driving indecisively, and he was drifting into my lane and I wanted to get away from him as soon as possible, but there was no imminent accident. I was just tired from driving back from Dallas that day, the guy annoyed me, and I just wanted to drop my friend off so I could go home and sleep.
