Have you heard this one before:

If you are driving under the influence and get pulled over I've heard of people taking their keys out of the ignition, dropping them on the pavement, and then pounding one of the airline sized bottles of liqour. I heard that doing this will prevent a DUI charge because it cannot be proven you were drunk before you took that shot.

if someone flashes their lights behind you it is perfectly legal, and is meant to alert you that they wish to pass... just fyi...

Have you ever given a ticket to someone that has been nice to you? I was going 90 in a 70 and was nice but the cop kept being mean. I even admitted to it and he hit me with a $180 ticket.

If I were to walk outside and someone was stealing my headlights and I shot him, would I go to jail?

If a group of people are trying to jump me and I pull out a gun (one owned legally) but they still try to fight me can I shoot them?

If I flash a fake gun at someone because they want to fight me or just in general pissed me off can I get in trouble?

Basically at what point are you allowed to use weapons to protect yourself?
from what I know about the code it CANNOT be in your view and playing something, but that is open to much interpretation (i.e. handheld dvd players, etc...)

i've ticketed nice people for a lot of reasons..... fake niceness, their violation was just too much, or sometimes i've decided im going to ticket before i even approach the driver...

depends on your state law, in california you would go to prison for murder. i think you can do that in TX though...

um, if you feel your life is in immediate danger than yes, but check on state law for you... for cali you would need to feel in imminent danger

yep, brandishing a fake weapon is against the law

state law again, but in cali it is when you feel you are threatened... you can use deadly force when you feel you are in immediate danger of serious injury or death...

If you want to shoot somebody (or use otherwise deadly force) and get away with it you need to have your own life in imminent danger and you have to not be able to escape/runaway (one's house is considered a place of final retreat, i.e. no need for the escape bit). Different states interpret this different ways, but that's the general idea.

If a cop decides he wants to beat your ass for no reason other then he doesn't like you and you fight back what are the chances of the cop getting in trouble and not you? That's the thing that always scared me about cops because if one felt like hitting me and I hit them back I would go to jail.

I see you have a drawing of a snow man as an avatar. Do you ever draw cute pictures as in Unicorns on tickets to brighten drivers days?

Owned by the 5 minute rule....
I was eating a big slice of pizza in my car today, can you get in trouble for that?

Since flashing your headlights is legal...if a cop is crawling and I flash my high beams at him can he pull me over?

If an unmarked car were to try to pull me over and I didn't believe it was a cop could I keep driving and not get in trouble?

if a cop hits you, no matter waht the reason, you CAN NOT hit them back, unless you enjoy answering to assault police charges.

edit: and when their backup arrives, you can bet you'll be getting hit by more than one of them.

I know the answer to this one, we had a guy posing as a cop in my hometown a while back....

you do not have to pull over immediately. Your job is to call 911 if you have a phone and they can verify by radio. If you do not have a phone, drive to some place like a gas station before pulling over, anywhere there is people will work.

From what I understood, cops in unmarked cars with no lights on top of the car knew to expect this, mostly thanks to the person/people posing as officers to get victims to pull over.

Do you, as a cop, find yourself doing things that you otherwise wouldn't do as a civilian because you can get away with it if you get pulled over or otherwise get called on it?

i report them all to radio, and their direction, and light them all up... whoever stops first gets a ticket, and if someone picks up the others i sign as the arresting officer, my observation
