OK GUYS I KNOW I MIGHT BE BEATING A DEAD DRUM, BUT...

Us Fresno guys would love to host the ALL-CALI MEET... and as for the heat issue. If u guys would consider...we came to a decision to get huge misters & fans, like the ones you would see at PRO FOOTBALL games. SO DON'T USE THE HEAT AS AN EXCUSE.

here are the other benefits:

MILES OF CRUSING.
HUGE BAR-B-QUE AREAS WITH COVERED BENCHES
ALL NEATLY DONE IN A LOOP THAT PASSES LAKES-PONDS-STREAMS

PLUS 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM YOSEMITE MOUNTAIN & LAKE DRIVES.

Pismo or SLO would be great if we could find an area that could contain ALL OF US, but it doesn't look like we are going to get it.

As previously stated by Chico OG (and others), the All-Cali Meet will be held in either Pismo or SLO. Last year, everyone was able to be accomodated at the Park in Pismo.

Having the meet near the coast gives people options to do stuff afterwards. Last year, many people chilled at the beach and had the tasty chowder at a local place in Pismo.

After the meet, what the hell is there to do in Fresno?

Not trying to over-ride anybody, was just reviewing comments about the limited space at the park in Pismo & the cruising congestion after. We wouldn't have that problem here.

& shouldnt the point of an all-cali meet be to hang & chill with the fellow AZINERS? not find something else to do.

NO NEED TO OVER-REACT GUYS JUST EXTEND ONE LAST INVITATION TO YOU, THATS ALL.

I'm sure we could all find things to mock at each other & our home towns if we realy wanted to... where is the brotherhood we AZINERS should give to one another?

I kinda liked the long drive with the peeps last year. I'd vote for Pismo, even though Fresno is alot closer for me.

I liked the caravan too, even though I was one of the slower ones. It always helps to have people stay behind just in case some fellow AZer's have car troubles like we experienced last year.

You are really trying to keep this whole city mocking thing going... If I wanted to I could mention San Quinton Max Security prison is only 36 miles away from Concord & ask you why you dont go & take a tour of your prison.

But I won't.

I'll step down for this one... take one for the team.
just do your research before you try to mock another AZINER.

WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO MOCK ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BESIDE ME?

ANYWAY... If the vote is realy only down to PISMO or SLO, lets solidify the locations then set up a poll & let the CALI AZINERS decide.... SEEMS LIKE THE EASIEST WAY.

Well, that's still an hour & a half away from Fresno.

U guys are welcome to go visit.

I don't think they would let you tour though.

Maybe talkin to some kinda youth prevention program might get you a tour.

hey guys i have been way too busy. i didn't expect to take up so many responsibilities at one time this quarter. 20 units, 2 jobs, pledging has taken a huge toll in how much free time i have. i have to work 30 hours, have 5 classes, and pledging itself i have to plan 8 events for the next 6 weeks, fundraise, 40 interviews. etc.

i can still help out, but i won't be able to find a place. if u guys need me to contact or set it up just PM me. i don't have time to actively look for places. but i can set it up.

if anything, someone can take over. just pm me.

uhh not really. if i wanted to be another nuisance, id keep suggesting everyone to come up to san francisco, even though the majority of the possible participants settled on pismo/slo.

OK GUYS, talked to LIPPSTUH: he's a liitle too busy to look for locations in SLO or PISMO.

here is what he needs: (& these are important)

#1 : Location with parking lot to hold 50-70 cars

#2 : It absolutely must be "reservable" so we dont show up to the spot & find out someone else has taken it.

#3 : This location needs to have barbeque pits & enough room to do activities like basketball or flag footbal etc.

THATS IT.

So I'm callin out all AZINERS in the central coast region or any others that might be familiar with those areas... Lets get a list of locations so we could finalize the meet.

What we need is a location name & contact, so we could check availablility.

Alright, it has been posted before that the 2007 park is a great location. I think we should do it again. Here is the information; we should reserve the Willow Bluff area since it has the highest capacity:

Biddle Regional Park
3500 Lopez Drive
Arroyo Grande, CA 93420

LOPEZ LAKE RECREATION AREA (Call for reservation)
Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PST
805-788-2381

Hey guys, I'd like to apologize for my absence; I took up a responsibility and I should fulfill it. So I Googled some parks and this one looks great. No basketball court, BUT looks big enough to just play football, etc.

Nipomo Regional Park
Google Map Satellite link
Parking: Ample, check link.
BBQ Pits, 3 different group spots.

Right now i'm trying to find a map of the park showing where the 3 group spots are. but it looks very promising.

That's a good one too. The area is huge. I pass by that area a few times when I was in SLO.

tell me what u guys think and i'll give them a call for the reservation.
I think i will estimate how much everyone should pitch in, who ever registers and pays first gets a guaranteed spot to participate in the meet, everyone who pays at the meet is not guaranteed. but im still working out the details. might just call tomorrow.

Update: Found the link for the map of where everything is. Looks like its a far walk from the largest parking lot. but there are a few parking lots as well. Depending on how many people, we can choose the parking lots accordingly.

Largest Parking lot = very far
2nd largest parking lot = close to PINE group area; pretty close so its a good option
3rd parking lot = right next to it.

we might have to park in the largest one depending on how many attend, but that's what we gotta do. the 2nd largest one is good for about 50-70 cars, i can't count under the trees but am sure that they're there. i guess we can "make our own" and at the same time watch our cars.

only concern is baseball activity, but i'll double check with the parks tomorrow. so happy

looks like we found our venue, i'll call tomorrow.

NOTICE: Not to knock on norcalers or anything, but please stop mentioning having the meet in norcal. feel free to hold your own meet, but this thread is solely for the ALL-CALIFORNIA meet. it only makes sense if we have it in a fair location. seriously i won't call anyone names, but please leave any "lets have it in norcal/socal" comments out of this thread. we are all grown up here please act accordingly which is to have this meet in a central location.
