LOL! ZAXDude, that's too funny. I visited Courtesy Acura for a test drive when the TLX came out. They didn't have that "TLX-S" on display yet, but time for me to give the salesman I met with some crap about the "S" badge. LMAO! It looks like they took it straight off a Corolla S.
Way to go Courtesy Acura! hahaha

Actually it was a real "Type-S" badge...totally more than just the S. I've never had any reason to do business with Courtesy -- this may keep me from considering it in the future (unless it saves me $$ on a purchase!)

Right, the RSX Type S had that similar badge as well if I can recall.
Anyway, I've heard from friends and co-workers that Courtesy doesn't have the best service and salesmen either. I don't plan to purchase from them if I decide to get the TLX. I just happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped by there to check out the car when it arrived.

On the other hand...i guess the rumors of Acura coming back with their Type-S line can be put to rest, thanks ZAX! haha

That's the one! Gorgeous! And love those option rims. Been waiting to see a solid side-profile shot from distance to see how it looks in complete view with those rims.

Almost has that pronounced, regal stance of a 5/7 series, just leaner and sportier. Love it. This would be my config, Advanced with SH-AWD and a nice tint to polish it off.

Yup - this one is GORGEOUS. Unexpectedly, the Diamond Cut wheels really made this black TLX rather special.

The one that I test drove last week had the regular 18" rims and while the car was nice, it was not special. THIS one looked special! When I saw this very combination in the second dealership yesterday, I thought this was SHARP looking!!!

I wonder if the body chrome trim at the base of the doors would make this look even nicer?

If I did not live in this northern climate, where I will get perma-dirt on my car for most of the years, I probably would just go with BLACK + ESPRESSO interior + Diamond Cut wheels! Now, that would be quite an eye-catching, upscale combination!

BTW, this TLX would have looked amazing in Nighthawk Black (from a few years ago) or a very, very dark metallic navy colour - the deep blue flecks that glitter in the sun would have looked absolutely gorgeous on this car!

Those rims are from a 2013 Accord Sport Sedan. They look identical.

And hopefully by then they'll have some more options for the TLX, like auto-tilt steering wheel and a HUD. Those are honestly the only two "tech" items from the RLX that I want in addition to everything else that's already in there.

Oooh, Rocketsfan, I saw that you had both the white and SSM TLX side by side there! Which one did you think look better? The BWP? SSM?

That said, the BWP one had a huge advantage for having those 18" rims while the SSM did not....

Word from the dealer is that the customer who placed the order for this car also "bought the Type-S badge" and asked them to put it on.
........................ lol i still don't believe that claim until that person fesses up, if he/she is a member here on AZ.

Well, I'm a fan of BWP since that's the one I'd probably get, so I'd say that one looked better. The SSM was sold already, btw. I think it was probably pre-sold or sold on sight because I don't think that car was even there on Saturday when I went there, unless I missed it. What pissed me off is the black car behind the SSM. Just when I thought the BWP was the color for me, I see the CBP and I'm in doubt again ... lol. smh.


I did go back and try to take some better pics of that white car I took pics of the other day, though :

Rocketsfan, I have to tell you that once I saw the CBP with those Diamond Cut wheels, I knew that Black/Espresso + Diamond Cut wheels would be the classiest combination out there!

However, if your climate is anything like ours here, then you would and should stay away having a black car, unless you like having PERMA-DIRT on your car for most of the year... LOL!

Well, it's 10:30pm here now and the temp is 90F and the heat index is 96F, if that's any indication. lol. And my last 2 cars have been black/black, so that's no biggie. I'm used to the heat and humidity, so a black vehicle is nothing. Now if it snows or ices during the winter, I'm not coming out of the house - that stuff scares me.


I like the diamond cut 18" wheels but there's no way I'm paying that much for them. I'm also still not completely sold on the espresso color, but I don't hate it.

Oh boy. If you lived in our climate, then you would be staying home for 8 months of the year LOL. That "S" stuff keeps that PERMA-DIRT on our cars for a long, long time......... sigh.

If you have had 2 black/black cars already, then get a white one, OK!? LOL! Don't second guess yourself now - just get the Weather special - BWP on black, OK!? LOLOL

I hear you weather. Much like the 4G bodykit, it's the rear piece that falls a bit short for me. But don't get me wrong, it doesn't turn the car into a hideous mess.

This rear piece although not the greatest,it still better than that of the 4G in that at least it doesn't end at the corners. It wraps around the bumper and tapers somewhere in the middle. The ILX body kit is actually pretty decent
