This was posted earlier on twitter... the poster said that this was at the Marysville plant... He said it's the SH-AWD Advance... anyway, I think it looks pretty sharp here.. maybe?
A lot of action here lately. I wouldn't be surprised if demos are in dealerships earlier than expected.

I think that the car looks decent here. The rims have a lot to do with it! These SH-AWD rims, as we have stated multiple times before, look way better than those awful FWD rims, and even those "upgraded" over-designed wheels.
Now, we just need to have some photos of that mocha interior.... yeah, white on mocha, or that dark copper (whatever it is called) on mocha.... it would be great to have silver on mocha but it ain't gonna happen.... LOL

I agree, this car looks better in these shots. Those wheels do help a lot. I wonder what size they are 18's or 19's. If I had to guess I would say 18". The rear end looks "ok". It does extend down quite a bit but I'm sure you will be able to see the tail pipes. I think its awful they are hiding the pipes. I understand on the ILX (why have dual exhaust on an under powered car) , but not the TLX.

While it's not a picture of the TLX dash/instrumentation, here's a pic of my RLX dash/instrumentation in action. Based on all the pics I've seen, the TLX instrumentation, NAV system, etc is pretty much the same as the RLX/MDX. My RLX is an Advanced model, so this would be the equivalent of the TLX Advanced with LKAS, ACC, and other goodies.
Just thought this would help give some of you who have never driven an RLX an idea of what to expect in the TLX. Personally I think the overall system is great, very informative, easy to understand and pleasant to the eyes.
What I'm curious to see is how well the new capacitive touchscreen in the TLX compares to the RLX's resistive touchscreen. From everything I know about the differences in the two, the TLX screen should be much more responsive, accurate and more definition on the display. The capacitive touchscreen in the RLX is one of my biggest gripes...

Cool pic. I didn't realize that the RLX had the little navigation display between the speedometer and the tachometer. I like that feature.

Whoops! you're right, sorry about that. It's in Tallahassee, not Jacksonville. But if I do recall, it was first received in Jacksonville at the ports there from Japan, then transferred over to Proctor. I think it was the longest month I ever waited on anything, but it was well worth it. At the price we pay for these higher end cars, it doesn't make sense to compromise in the least bit...![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Have you guys seen that really dark brown/black ("Ember Black") on the new Volvo V60? Now that was a STUNNING colour! I saw one in the dealership that came with brown interior. Oh my, that was GORGEOUS.
I wonder if the Black Copper Pearl + Espresso will have that same "wow" factor too?

Thanks for posting all these picture RandomRon82.
As I've said before, the car looks good (with the exception of some wheels) and the styling will not prevent me from buying this car. I think most consumers will agree.... it is not offensive in anyway... it may not have a crazy predator grill, but the car is not polarizing at all. It may be considered safe but at the same time I think it will age well. It is up to the drive, the feel of the car, and the price for me.
Oh and one other thing could stop me from buying Acura... the more they ignore obvious problems with their cars the less confidence I have in buying the brand. Pull your head out Acura, it has your name on it, take pride in it.

For the most part it looks good. From the front down the side until my eye reaches the quarter window in the rear door it looks fine.
But for some reason, from the rear quarter window back it looks like it’s missing something. I’ll hold final judgment until I see it in person, because I have a feeling that photos just don't do this car justice.
But even from the photos I think it will appeal to the masses.

I agree, in this photo anyway it doesn't appear to be pure black, especially on the bumper. Could be lighting etc...
Looking at this pic I think a rear "lip" type spoiler on the trunk would do wonders. Just as it does on the 4G.

Longer than the 3G but shorter than the 4G with about the same wheelbase the proportions would seem to hit a sweet spot. Unmistakably an Acura, I think this car will really stand out when we get to see it in person. Add to that, it's lighter than the 4G, 9(!) speed AT, direct injected 3.5l, SH-AWD and this thing should be a hoot to drive.

This photo made me do a double take, at quick glance it looks like a 4G with new headlights

Seriously, if you want a taste of the tech that the TLX will have, just go visit a dealer and try out the RLX Advanced or MDX Advanced and you'll see what's in store.

Acura TLX 2.4 Tech 9-2014
The middle is clearly:
Slate Silver Metallic / Ebony
The right I can't quite figure out but guessing:
Graphite Luster Metallic / Ebony
or maybe could be Crystal Black Pearl, but I am leaning towards the graphite.
As for the shot of the single TLX, that is crystal Black Pearl from the front and black copper in back, it is the new Acura Tie-dye blend :-)
I am dying to see a shot of the Espresso color.

Yes I'm dying to see the espresso also, but I am super disappointed that it won't be available with the slate silver exterior

That shot is better to see the wheels even if lower res, I hope I can get them on the 2.4 as an option or something other then the normal 2.4 wheels I have seen, blech.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw an Infiniti roll by the other day. Maybe Acura is trying to capture the crowd that would have normally driven the Oldsmobile Cutlass if it were still around.

I like the new pics. I know the looks are a bit controversial for some, but to my eyes it looks OK. I'd still prefer the body kit on the preview car, and we'll see whether it shows up later.

Is Acura of Westchester saying they have a TLX to test drive in this tweet?
