either one would be ok, like I said before, I got 235s because my wholesaler didnt have any 245s in stock, nor did they know when they were getting any. I coulda shopped and paid DOUBLE for a 245 but I didnt. I got my 235s for right about $100 a tire. Granted they are nexens, but they are by no means a terrible tire. I am quite happy with them. Especially the price

If I had the choice, and the two tire sizes were relatively close in price, Id opt for the 245s.

[QUOTE=Dino81;11874624]"chrome look" is what they call them, and yes they are brighter in the sun, BUT there is a black basecoat under there that makes them look more "black" or "ebony chrome" than MOST bling bling ghetto fab wheels.

have pics of these on your car??

Are these the Chrome, Sparkling Silver? Could be the angle of the pic but they looked darker.. I really like the gunmetal look vs the straight silver and chrome. But I also like the Black plated chrome look.. Hard to tell based on pics alone tho.

I called tire rack before I shipped my rims back and asked if I could use a 245-40-19 tire and they said no, that it would rub, looks like they were wrong...

Not a fan of 245/40/19 tire at all! Talk about a meaty tire! Asthetically speaking, It defeats the whole purpose of getting larger wheels! might as well stay with the stock 17's or at best 18's. They look horrible on 19's!

Ebay. You only need them if you have a 6MT and yes, only for the front. If you have auto you don't need a spacer.

I don't remember anyone confirming that you can run these with a 15mm spacer without rubbing though.

Agree. I'm getting my tires this week. Will post what a 225/40/19 looks like. The sidewall should be about a third of an inch shorter then a 245/40 so it shouldn't look bad but it'll still provide me with a sidewall thicker then a 245/35 tire. Besides, I would rub with a 245 tire in the front on my Accord.

Since today is the last day to get them...

Thought there were peeps on here that do have a 6MT and had no issues while running 15mm spacers?

Take the time and read the posts... Nobody but me and one other person with a 6spd ordered these rims, nobody with a 6speed but me actually received their rims. I tried them out on my car and determined that a 15mm spacer would make the wheels clear the stock acura Brembo's. whether or not they will actually clear with tires is NOT confirmed. My test fitment says they SHOULD clear fine with 15mm and 235-35-19's, but they are going to weigh 55 plus lbs per tire/wheel combo, while the stocks weight approx. 45 lbs per.

I went with Lexani all-season tires. They are a budget brand owned by Nexen. I got a really good deal on them and in total it came out to $480.00 with mounting and balacning. I not sure whether I am going to drop or not. I have looked around for A-spec kits but they are hard to find in RRP and I have read the paint is tough to match. I am keeping my eyes open for one though. Overall I am extremely happy with the results. I do not notice any difference in performance nor ride quality over stock.

Oh yeah so I read the recommended PSI is 39? I made it that all around and found the two front tires kinda look low?

Looks great! Theres a group buy now for the A-Spec kit for like 750 shipped. A-Spec is OEM so its already painted so no need to color match.

Very nice combo with the RRP and rims!

I am itching to get mine for sure. UPS tracking is showing Friday, so hopefully that is true, and the tires get to the shop by then, so I might be able to get them installed on Saturday

I am curious to what the correct PSI is as well, so I know what to tell the shop since the stock psi won't work for sure haha. I thought I saw 41 front and 39 rear in this thread somewhere, but that may be for just that particular tire. Continental didnt have it indicated on their site. May have to give their customer service a call.

i did 42 front, 40 rear on my Goodyear Eagle GT 245/35/19. I've searched and searched and have not found an official recommendation on PSI. I know Ollie's is different then mine too. I guess it varies by manufacturer.

Heres an update...

Got the chrome wheels mounted on some 235/35's. Im dropped 1.8-2''. They still rubb even without a front camber kit when turning the wheel even slightly and pulling up an incline at the same time. Otherwise, they are good.

Anyhow, I disliked how the chrome looked (personal oninion), so I took them to the media blaster. They were unable to get the wheels totally clean, as the basecoat was rather tough to get off and the wheels would have begun to Pitt really bad... so they got 95% off, and I sanded off the rest. Instead of powdercoating, I decided to go a custom auto body painter in the area. The wheels should be done by monday. I'll post pics then. They should be SICK! No teasers sorry :P

For now I think ill deal with it. I've been rubbing for the past few years on a set of 245 8.5j's and now I'm at 8.0j with a 235 which is essentially the same. I've just made myself extra cautious on driveways and such. Once I've got some more spare $, ill take it to a shop.

I got my rims delivered this afternoon, well 2 of them anyway. I called Gold Coast Acura and the parts guy talked to UPS as to why only 2 rims were delivered. I think it is a UPS mistake since the tracking information had 2 tracking numbers each with 2 packages per number indicated. I saw one box had a tracking number and said 1 of 2, while the other box had a different tracking number and said 2 of 2, so it looks like one rim from each package was separated. The dealer said they put 4 plastic straps to wrap the 2 rims together, and I (mom actually) saw evidence of the straps being there at one time. UPS is going to call and come over to examine the packages on Monday to see what could have gone wrong. GRRRRR! I was so looking forward to getting the rims on in the next 2-3 days.

The rims do look very nice though...didnt realize how big 19" rims looked lol.

Another thing I noticed looking through the box, in the plastic bag with the Acura rim cap in it was a tire pressure sticker you would put on the door jamb. It says the recommended tire is a 245/35/19, and the pressures were 33 front and rear. Does that mean we should be inflating them to that, or is that only because it would normally be on an RDX?

^^^ i think that is the info for your TL. if you look at the first page of this thread, it shows the tire size of 245/45 and this should be for the RDX. SO, it seems they put this info in there specifically for your TL.

Great thought, but I went back to look at the rims just to look at them lol, and I misread the sticker....it does say 245/45/19...DUHHHHHHHHH! Guess I will be calling Continental to see what they recommend for pressure then.

Tiggaman, here they are...back from the custom painter today. Im in all over again (my previous set of custom time attacks got bent). FYI tho all, these wheels pitt like crazy if you try and blast 'em. The man hours in these was rediculous for a set of wheels. Not for the faint of heart!

Very sharp looking Definitely transforms the look of the Accord. Always loved silver cars but since my last 2 cars were silver, I went with Anthracite...not like its that drastic a change lol.

awesome work Gerzand. was looking forward to seeing these. they look great. the 40s turned out good gen7.

I have my car up on stands as I type waiting for the last coat to try on the hub/calipers. I'll post new pics when I'm all done. I think you guys and myself are the only ones who will actually notice a difference (or so my friends and family tell me)
