48 is quite a lot. I would do 42F 40R. I'm running 40F 38R on my Accord.

so Yokohama called me back late yesterday...

After their calculations, they recommend that their s.drive be inflated to 46. I guess i'll go with what Yokohama said.

drove for about 2 hours yesterday. felt a lot better than the Nexen3000's i had on before (it's what the car came with) just more stiff and not as easy to turn as before, but i do like them a lot.

No way... what are the odds!
I took the T in from Seaport area...(left my car in the parking lot that was only $5, and my special lady friend lives there) anyway...must have walked in on the other side as I would have noticed it!

I'm loving my new rims btw!!!!

Now i feel more complete with the Excelerate Quads/A-spec rolling on 19"

I'll definitely let you know next time I'm in Boston (which will probably be next weekend)

I have these wheels and was thinking about buying the General Exclaim UHP's. They get good reviews on tire rack but at the same tire they are much cheaper then most of the other tires. Has anyone had any experiences with these tires? Or any recommendations? I noticed some of the more expensive tires, get about the same ratings as the lower priced tires.

Hey shellready, I picked up the General UHP in 235/35/19 for these wheels, so far so good. Was in the same boat as you, good reviews and great price so I had to try them.

Damn Pawel! Looking good man! I'm liking what i see! Did you have to get the type S bumper to get the excelerate quads in there? is that a full muffler swap or just tips?

Gotta get that drop man! something classy! But so far, its coming along nicely!!

I got the 06-04 front A-SPEC and 07-08 type S rear A-SPEC. Actually installed that and the Excelerate Quads non-res in my garage all in one day.

Love this set up so far. Like someone said before about the TL "Hello Mods... goodbye wallet"

Have gotten at least 5 peeps that stopped me already who love the sound of the exhaust. Definitely nice to hear (pun intended) One of them even hates hondas but was impressed with this exhaust when he heard it, loved it when he saw it!

The 19" do add a lot to it also!

Nice! I'm glad things worked out... I think you are the first one to successfully mount these wheels on a 6MT. So needless to say, it can be done!

I'm actually considering getting spacers for my 5AT. did you go with 15MM all around?

I only got them in the front, not the rear since I did not need them there and because it's only 15mm (.59 of an inch) the difference isn't that noticeable...

Plus, I'd rather spend the $200 on a mod somewhere else

Looks good, except you do need the spacer in rear. It looks goofy with the wider front. I have a place you can get Ichiba V2 spacers for $115 shipped, not $200.

depends on the person i guess... For me, once I dropped it, it was defnitely noticeable. My wheels look sunken in. Like the wheel well just swallowed them up. Most people can't tell the difference, but i sure can... I want it to sit a little more flush...

In no rush to get them, but something im considering, especially once i get bored again...

I got the Ichiba version 1 spacers through Josh @ Excelerate.
They are around $100, and it cost me $100 to get them put on and I think I got a deal on that since I've heard it's a lot more work.

And I definitely know what you mean.
So if and once I do a drop, I will definitely have to space out the rears.
Wish the rears had the same calipers on them as well, that would look great!

$200 to have those studs pressed in and the spacers is a good deal, but the Ichiba V2 spacers have the studs already pressed in so they are ALOT easier to install.

If i'm not mistaken, i think the V2's are hubcentric that are just simple mount and go... no extra work required.

I dont have much experience with spacers so im not a 100% on this. But here's the description from that site:

"Version II wheel spacers are made from Aluminum/Magnesium alloy. They are incredibly strong and very lightweight. Each wheel spacers are two pieces design with pressed studs. Now it's time to bolt-on without any swap studs hassles."

08A-Spec, thanks for the link! Got it bookmarked and will definitely keep this in mind!

Yes V2 have their own studs pressed in so they just bolt to your exisiting studs. They are hubcentric as well. Takes about 30 minutes to put 1 pair in. Here is my post with the V2 spacers on my TL.

Damn! That looks nice bro! Exactly how i want my wheels to sit! So a few questions:

How wide did you go? 10MM/15MM/20MM

What are you dropped on?

Did you have to roll your fenders?

Any rubbing issues with 4-5 passengers?

So can someone direct me to a dealer that is selling these at that low price. I've seen a few on ebay, but they are way more expensive that quoted here. Plus, I'd like to buy them from someone who has done business with other people on this forum. Thanks...

Dont know if you got this resolved... i had the same issue with my Goodyear Eagle GT's.... but the guys at Discount Tire figured it out... They had to inflate the tire to a REALLY HIGH PSI to get it to set properly. Once on they just set it to the appropriate PSI.. I'm riding 42 front, 40 rear.

Thanks tigga. I'm still not having any luck getting these things mounted. I've now been to 5 different places with no luck. I dropped them off last night for one more try. The guy said somthing to me about needing to mount them updside down? anyway we'll see, not sure what I'm going to do if they can't get it done.

Upside down? You mean like mounting the tire from the back side of the wheel? If so, I thought the RDX wheel was a reverse-mount wheel, which means you are SUPPOSED to mount the tire from the back side?

yes, that's what I mean. didn't know it was supposed to be done that way, if thats the case. prob why 5 shops couldn't get it done. still waiting to hear from the place I dropped them off to yesterday.

what shops are you going to man? i can't imagine that 5 shops later and you still haven't gotten them on? I'm no expert, but do these guys know what they're doing?

I watched my guys (Discount Tire) put them on and they did not reverse mount. They ran into issues because the tires i have (Eagle GT) have this "rim protector" and because of that they couldn't get it to set properly. They moved it to a truck station and the tires were inflated to 100+PSI and it finally set properly. Just "popped" into place...

I've been to big chains (mavis discount tire), small shops and performance shops. They've tried your suggestion, along with straps, reverse mounting and still no luck. just spoke to the shop I dropped them off to yesterday and they now have had them out in the sun for a few hours to try and soften them up. ...

That really sucks man! Sorry to hear that your having such a tough time with this! My experience was pretty good. In and out in about 45 minutes so i'm still a little confused as to why your having such a tough time. Is there something special about these wheels/tires that makes mounting so difficult? Is it the tire size? I'm running 245/35, but i know there are others on this thread that have mounted 235/35.

Good luck and keep us posted man! It will be well worth it once its finally on!

Ok, I just got my wheels mounted today, I'm running the Generals on 245/35. I rode home today about 15 miles and the ride seemed to be about the same but it may be too early to tell...sorry for the quality of pictures but I had to use my phone
