Tiggaman, I also noticed ur tires look like the same tread pattern as mine. Are they Goodyear Dunlop Fierce Instincts?

Nope, Goodyear Eagle-GT's 245/35/19... i've had pretty good luck with them on my stocks, figured i'd stick with what works.

Ok, well good. Since u swapped them for sports (they typically come with a 2" drop pro spring) u shouldn't have issues. I'm also on koni yellows but with eibachs and I'm on lowest pirch

Look nice Tiggaman! Do you notice any performance difference due to the weight of these wheels?

I noticed the steering wheel seemed a little "heavier" when turning when I drove it the 1st time after install.

otherwise I dont go around racing my car, so I wouldnt be able to tell u , "ya, its a 1/10th of a second slower on the 0-60" or anything of that sort.

after i got them mounted i went out for a "spririted" ~10 mile drive and to be honest with you, ii really didn't notice any difference in performance.

It really felt the same as before, but again I've never tracked my car so even if there is a decrease in performance, it wasn't drastic enough for me to notice...

Also didn't see the high revs that ollie experienced. The only thing thats out of wack for me is the TPMS sensor, i guess it just needs time reset/sync?? now it just reads "TPMS Error." Hopefully it'll just fix it self!

If it wasn't for the high mileage on my car, i would have definitely gone with springs and stock shocks. But I've got just over 90K miles on my car so im about due for some new shocks. Supercup was the most economical option for me.

If your planing on keeping stock shocks, id consider the Tein H-techs. Pretty subtle drop, but more then a-spec (~1.2" all around) and best of all, they wont reduce the life of the factory shocks as quickly as some of the other springs will.

Im right up there with u on mileage..but the way I understood it, the shocks should still be good at 90k. Ive read they are well built and "just getting broken in" @ 90k..lol once u get them in, lemme know how the ride quality changes... also are u getting new tophats, or reusing oem?

sticking with oem tophapts. Also bought the ingalls rear camber kit. I'm waiting on parts to come in, but scheduled to arrive early next week. If timing works out, I should have them installed by easter. I'm getting some help from a local member here and he's got them installed on his car so hopefully my install will go pretty smooth. I'll keep you updated on ride quality.

Very very nice! Each time I see these wheels on the TL, I want them more and more lol. Seems like dealers on eBay are noticing the increased interest since the cheapest I have found now is from a dealer in NJ for $599 + $50 shipping. Still a very good deal but not as good as what you guys have gotten. If there is a better deal still, maybe I am not searching very well.

I am sooo close to getting these, but even though I easily have the money for the rims and tires, its hard for me to part with approx $1500 or so lol. I am getting a little 'bored' with my car, so maybe this will bring my excitement level back up lol

For those of you who bought the wheels from the CA dealers, how long did you have to wait to receive them?

wow. and to think i was going to save up for the 18inch aspec wheels. i might have to invest in these 19's instead (if dealers still have them haha). TiggaMan, thanks for having a NBP TL. it's good to see how it would really look on my car since i got the same. haha.

The 15mm spacers are about 125.00 which should definitely allow these weels to work with Brembo's. I'm on the fence whether or not to send them back or just use spacers with my 6MT.

KEEP THEM!!! Get the spacers! All the research ive done on TL's using spacers has shown that people have nothing but good things to say. Havent come across anyone having problems. Plus any that have gone up for sale SELL immediately!

my would be to say get them, the fact i know these need spacers wont keep me from ordering now. I just have to decide to spend the just over $1k shipped for rims and tires. Spacers wont reflect me decision one bit!

Thanks for figuring out what needed to be done chris

no problem, glad to help out. I've had trouble with 35 series tires before, going to call tire-rack later today and ask if I can use a 245-40-19 tire on these rims without problems. I know the speedo will be off 2-3 mph, but I can deal with that..

What kind of trouble? I kno the lower pro we go we risk pot holes putting bubbles in the sidewall and bending the rim. I did it with my 40 series 18.

I was going to go with the 235/35/19 but i was kind of wanting to maybe do the 245/35/19. Not sure how it would look with a 40 on a 19??

Well look at my pics, they are 235/35, tiggas and ollies are 245/35..not much of a difference. A 40 series will be too big.

when I say trouble, your right, bent rims and potholes. One time on RT 684 they stopped paving for the day and left about a 2" lip between the new and old road, hit that with my mazda and 35 series, got 2 bent rims and 2 flat tires. I prefer 245 for better rim protection.

My choices for tires are:

245-35-19

245-40-19

i think its the sidewall that'll really help in those cases, but as many have said, i think a 40 sidewall maybe just too tall.

I haven't tested this so i could be wrong... at a minimum, i know it will throw of your speedo, but that may not be factor to you. not sure if it will affect anything else....

Maybe you could play with the width to get the sidewall the right height. A 225 or 235 with 40 may bring it down enough, but still be taller than 245/35. Just an idea

I just put an order for a set of Hankook Ventus V12 in 225/40/18. These should put me 1.54% taller then the stock 205/60/16 that my Accord comes with. I would have gone with a 245/35/19 but I would most likely rub in the front. My winter set-up was 18x8 +40 with a 225/45/18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 and I would rub in the front going over bumps when raised on my Konis. When I lowered it to the lowest perch, I would rub turning into fast corners lol. Had to put the summer set-up so I could drive without rubbing. With the RDX 18x8 +45 I should have more clearance then my winter set-up but if I went with a wider tire I would be right back where I started. Plus, even with the narrow tire, a 225/40/19 will give me a sidewall .17" taller then a 245/35/19. A 245/40/19 would be over an inch taller then the stock tires so I would recommend against that.

Anyone that is wondering what size tire to go with, I recommend using the tire size calculator from 1010 tires. Here's a link to it:
http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalcula...?action=submit

Chris, you upload them to a place like imageshack, get the path, come back here, click insert image and paste the path to the JPG.

So after a week of these on, I realized now I actually see the calipers. The previous owner painted them black but did a crappy job so they were pealing. I decided to get some graphite color POR15 Manifold paint since it was the closest high temp match for Anthracite. Got the Acura decals in from ebay so that's my next project. Then the roof spoiler will be in two weeks from now. I saved all my mods til after the car was paid in full, but now that it is- man is this addicting!

Well guys, no sooner than mounting the tires and driving around to do some errands yesterday...the wheels are off the car and tires dismounted. I don't like the look of the chrome at all. It looks a bit too bling bling for my tastes. I have an appointment to get them media blasted and powdercoated this Monday. I think ill be satisied then.

Well now that the wheels are in check, get that aspec kit man! I cant tell you enough, it makes a WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE!

stumbled upon a really good group buy for it too. check it out: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/new-acura-dealer-aspec-kit-group-buy-%24775-shipped-update-dates-extended-766707/

Sorry to hear that gerzand. I'm kinda with ya though. I think they look awesome in low light but in direct sun they do look pretty bling. Post pics once you get them sprayed. It'll be interesting to see how they look. What color are you doing?

Can you guys tell me, is the Acura logo already applied to the center cap or do you have to apply it yourself?

And to update, my tracking number from the dealer was sent to my junk mail box and I didn't find it until today. I won't get my wheels until Monday. Noooo!! I called a local tire shop to order the wheels and was told they wouldn't get them until Tuesday. NOOOOOO!!!! Got a call back a few minutes later that the tires were out of stock at the warehouse and won't be in until middle or end of next week.

Gen 7. It is not attached. You peal off a sticker from the emblem, pop it through the holes in the cap and apply little things to hold it in place

yeah, the center caps look at litte confusing at first because there are 3 different pieces, but incredibly easy to apply.

its funny, the guy at discounttire that was mounting my tires tried putting on the center cap and forgot to peel off the pink sticker behind the "A" logo. He came out said, "you know i really like the wheels, but im not sure how i feel about the pink center caps!!"
