checked my fedx tracking number, mine should be here on wednesday, will let everyone know if they fit a 6 spd.

Gonna wait and see if they fit before ordering tires, thinking of going with General UHP's

Ollie, what tire pressures are you running ?

I retract my previous statement, the "chrome look" are defiently a black chrome. they look awesome IMO. so all those that ordered, or consider ordering the chrome look, keep that in mind.

got em mounted and balanced already, will install this evening. pix to follow shortly.

AAAAAHHHH!!! No tease please. Pics ASAP! I'm thinking if I can't get the sparkle finish for the same deal I may have to pick up the chrome ones. I've never been a fan of chrome but if they look as good as you say I may have to get those.

They mounted them at about 35 PSI, though I've been wondering myself what the ideal pressure for them is. The tires just say Max 50 and the guinelines with the wheels assume an RDX setup. I got a good deal on a digital PSI reader and a cigarette lighter compression pump, since I'm going to have to be a lot more careful about keeping them with enough air.

Yup, im curious as to what the proper tire pressure is with 19's. I don't want to guess, but I'm thinking we still go by the numbers on the door. I'm thinking 36-38 in the front and 34-36 in the rear.

According to Toyo's website, a TL with a +2 wheels size running on Toyo Proxes4 should be running 41PSI F and 39PSI R. I know you're going to be running Generals but I would start there.

i've read that the optimal PSI for a 245/35/19 tire is 42 in the front and 40 in the rear. I'm going to have to mess around with this after i get my wheels mounted...

so this kinda leads me to another question.. with the standard PSI changing from stock 17 to the RDX 19's, how low does it need to get before the TPMS starts firing off?

My stocks would start alerting after it got below 29/28 PSI.

Dino those wheels look like 20's man! huge! is that really a 35 sidewall? I've got the aspec kit on my NBP as well so i was curious to see how yours would turn out! That gap for whatever reason looks a lot bigger then ollie's. I dont know if its the camera angles/lighting or low sidewall, but a drop is DEFINITELY in order! what are your tire size?

Those look really good. Need some picks in the sun tho. Can't wait until mine come in. Can anyone tell me what the better tire size is? 235/35 or 245/35. It seems like most people run the 245/35's.

WOW, that gap does look HUGE, is there enough room to run a 245-40-19 ?

^^ Go with a wider 245 tire. the wider footprint will give you some performance gains and also some curb rash protection over a 235. Although the 235 is a bit cheaper!

I'm actually very tempted to get a 40 sidewall just to get some added rubber under there. I've had some really bad luck in the past with bent rims, so trying to prevent that at all cost. but i think the 40 sidewall is too tall though, will throw the speedo off quite a bit...

I don't really care too much about the speedo being off, as long as I know what the difference really is, thats easily enough accomplished by one of those road side radar signs that we have right down the road from me.... I need to find out if a 40 will fit, don't like the look of the 19's with the skinny rubber bands and large wheel gaps, plus I really didn't want 19's because of problems in the past with bent rims on my Mazda with 35 series tires.

Thanks Tigga, i figured as much. You def have me thinking about the 40 sidewall.... i may have to look into this. I have 2 brothers that manage a couple of discount tire stores, so i will see what they think.

.

Chris, be careful trying to check your speed with the "speedcarts" as they are usually calibrated to give you the advantage. Basically, the officer that puts these out will set it 2 to 5 miles lower than what you actually are traveling at.

i would rather have a friend that is riding straight OEM in any vehicle, get beside you on the freeway and comare speeds that way... just my

Gotcha,,,, Found a calculator, with a 245-40-19 speedo will read 60, actual speed will be 63... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html, now we just need someone to confirm that a 40-19 will fit without any problems.

Dino is actually running 235 35 19 according to an earlier post of his. I believe that is a big factor in his huge gap.

35 series is the correct size when going to 19's, would like to lessen the gap and improve rim protection if a 40 series will fit without problems.

Looks better in person, altho I still have a 2 finger gap or so in the rear. yea, they are 235/35/19's, according to the tire calcs. Ive found (even tire rack), that is the closest to 235 45 17s u can get as far as O.D.

The camera angles were shit, (i could only go so far back in the garage) lighting sucked.

Oh well I ll just have to drop it a lil sooner and/or a little farther down...

And please dont judge the height by the s10 next to it, its laying frame

It makes a difference, but I don't think it'd be huge

245x.35=85.75
235x.35=82.25

I would have loved to go 40 since I am surrounded by potholes and driving has become a slalom course, but I never thought 40/19 would fit without a roll.

Just got off the phone with Gold Coast Acura in CA. Got a set shipped to my door for $590.

I called the dealer as soon as they opened but the person in charge of the eBay auctions wasn't in yet. I was told he'd call me but after a few hours I started getting antsy. There was an auction ending in about three hours on one of the only remaining sparkle silver sets for a reasonable price.

I called back and got transferred to him. He agreed to sell them to me but wanted $550 + $65 s/h. His reason was that since he was selling outside of the auction he might potentially loose money. I pointed out the chrome-look going for $469 BIN + s/h and he knew all about all the different sellers and deals going on these on eBay. Well, I told him that I would pass but would call beck if I lost the auction.

I went on my iphone to place the bid and I was literary about to confirm my bid with my index finger when I get a call back from him agreeing to sell it to me for the listing price. Talk about a close call lol!

He was really cool, we spent a few minutes BSing about all the deals on these rims and how he sold 6 sets of these to a guy in Puerto Rico. He took down my payment and shipping info and told me that he would get these wheels out today!

Good story gen7. Glad to see so many AZ members were able to jump on this deal. When I first posted I definitely didn't think it would generate this much interest, but it's cool to see.

Everyone that has seen mine so far really likes them. They have a stock look to them (in a good way), so they don't look like all the ghetto budget rims I see around my city- or like the 90s 4 runner with a duct tape bumper I saw yesterday with spinning chromes. I digress...For the price I think we got the absolute best deal around. So what if they are a little heavy. Now the tough part is to guard them from the curbs given that there's no lip-though that's what makes them look so big.

Yeah, tough to go wrong with that price man....

probably not the best route if your looking to track your car, but this is perfect for someone who wants the "it came from the factory like that" look! FOR CHEAP! lol
