no matter what you do that wheel will only clear the brembos if you rock an 1" thick spacer

Any tire reccomendations? Would like some wheel protection but more concerned about fitment and rubbing.

they will clear the brembos but they are on the aggressive side, you will need negative camber all the way around and you will also need to stretch tires

225/35-19 fronts
23535-19 rears

rolling the rear fenders will be needed

ps. no fat chicks will rub

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 04 Sport
Wheel Make/Model: MB Wheels / Weapon
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9
Wheel Offset (+**): +38 or +45 both available.
If lowered (amount): 1 1/2"? Plan on having a 2 finger gap all around

Will the wheels clear the brembos and will the offset be flush with the fenders or at least closer to flush than stock? And which offset would be better for flushness?

Questions on Tires
Tire Make/Model: need recommendation- please give your thoughts
I really dont like the look of these rims on this TL (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/1534260163.html)
Would a different tire and no mudflaps make it look better without a drop?
Width/Sidewall-Diameter (***/**-**):
If lowered (amount):

Need a spacer?
For 5mm H&R/Eibach or Ichiba work
For 5mm or greater visit wheeladapter.com (custom widths available)

Just curious but will my speedo be off with the 245/35/19's? Also, what would be the benefit of going with 255/30/19 in the rear vs the 245's? I'm fairly certain I'll be rolling my rear fenders since my buddy is buying the tool and we're going to get a bunch of people together and do them all at once.

the "18x9" will require a lower offset

245/35-19 is close to oem size 235/45-17

255/30-19 gives you more lip protection on a wider wheel

they come in +35 and +45... +45 will allow you to run 245/35-19 which is a good tire to run plenty of cushion

in the rear throw 255/30-19 is fine no fender rolling required

for the offset I would run spacer no smaller than 5mm and no bigger than 15mm

as for the hub center bore... you'd have to take it to a machine shop to bore out the opening to 64.1mm

you could do 235/30/20 in front and 245/30/20 in back posssibly 255/30/20 in back with rolled fenders.

you should be good... if you do happen to rub in the rear it's because you have a fat chick in the back

What's the widest tire I can put on my TL-S with the stock Type-S wheels and stock suspension? Would 255's all around work? If someone can provide some info along with exact tire specs, I'd really appreciate it! My TL-S needs new tires so I figure I'd get something wider than stock. Thanks for any help.

You will be just fine. no need to roll the fenders and no need to raise the car at all since you have 235 series tires. 38 offset is not aggressive enough to worry about. now 25 offset on the other hand is aggressive. i am running a 30 offset with 235 series and half a finger gap and i dont rub at all.

for your car the wheels will fit fine. I would recommend using 235/45/17 in front and 255/40/17 in back

Nevermind, just finished reading the 17 page thread about 255/40/17's and I'll be going with this setup then. Hopefully wheel gap won't bother me too much. Thanks horsepowercrzy18!

How will wheels with these specs fit my car?

04 Base 5AT

F 18x8.5+45
R 18x9.5+45

Lowered ~2.5"

Will I need spacers?

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 08 Type S
Wheel Make/Model: RJ Inspyre
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x8.5
Wheel Offset (+**): 42
If lowered (amount): soon to be 1.5"

I'm sure they fit, because they're RJ's, but thought I'd make sure here before I bought them. More curious about what tires I should put on?

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 2007 Type S

I'm considering 3 options

1)
Wheel Make/Model: Enkei Pf01 (New for 2010)
Wheel Size (**X**): 17 x 8
Wheel Offset (+**): +45
If lowered (amount): Not Lowered

2)
Wheel Make/Model: Enkei Pf01 (New for 2010)
Wheel Size (**X**): 18 x 8
Wheel Offset (+**): +40
If lowered (amount): Not Lowered

3)
Wheel Make/Model: JIC Magic J-force 05
Wheel Size (**X**): 17 x 8
Wheel Offset (+**): +30 (Pretty aggressive I think)
If lowered (amount): Not Lowered

I like to know if they would clear the brembo brakes at the front and if it will rub the fender as I don't want to roll the fender.
For 17 inch I'll be using the stock tire size (235/45R17), and for 18 inch it will be 235/40R18. Thanks.

Hey what's up stillhere,

I've been running 18x8, +20(f) +25(r) with 245/40/18 tires for a while and decided to go with the following instead:

2006 TL
Wheel Make/Model: 5Zigen ZR+520
Wheel Size: 19x9.5
Wheel Offset: +30
If lowered (amount): Tein Basics (1/2" thread left--top of tire sits parallel with fender ... maybe little tuck)

Rear fenders are already rolled, portions of the front have already been cut lol
Planning on stretching tires with 235/40/18's

Should work right?

Hello everyone,

I've pressed the search button repeatedly, but I just wanna be extra extra extra sure about this wheel setup that i have in mind!

2005 Base 5AT

Option 1 = 20x8.5 (+35 offset) All Around with 225/35/20 or 235/35/20

Option 2 = 20x8.5 (+38 offset) All Around with 225/35/20 or 235/35/20

Will be dropped on either TEIN Basic or TEIN SS...

Will I need spacers?
Will I need to roll the fenders?

Ok I have 04 Acura TL 6 speed with brembos..

I am looking at 2 separate set of wheels now, since the ones I wanted sold

First set:
19x8 +48 - 235/35/19

Second Set:
19x8.5 +22 - 245/35/19
19x9.5 +30 - 275/30/19

Will either set work?
Thanks!

lower the offset... call RON he'll let you know which size you need my guess the offset will have to be +35

offset to high will need a 10mm spacer

needs like a 3mm spacer

ur tire size is way off, 235/35-19??? it'll work but it'll be pushing the limit

What if I change the tires and have my fenders rolled? What size can I get away with? And will it clear my brembos?

You are the man dude!

Thanks for the response Stillhere!

For the 07 TLS with 17 x 8 wheels. What's the lowest offset we can go without rubbing the fender?
