When you say rub, are you speaking fender clearance, or clearance between when and suspension components.

I'm raising a perch on the Koni's that should level things out... if I run into an issue with the fender I imagine it can be rolled out rather easily. I guess the real test is putting them on the car... should find out next week

you need 18x8 or 18x8.5

it will be nice and aggressive but you will need to roll the fenders to run real tires

Thanks,
help me understand, the 18x8's come in an offset of 35 while the 18x8.5's come in on offset of 30's, this is according to the Enkei site so without having to roll the fenders, which size would you recommend? also if you don't mind what size tire would fit best.
thank you so much for your help, it's greatly appreciated

rub meaning when the spring is compressed the tire will rub the front fenders and will get sliced by a tiny little tap where the fender meets the bumper cover...

If you raise your ride, you will have less chances of it occuring so you're good

these are the following which you should go with to prevent any sort of fitment snafoo
18x8.5 +40
18x8 +35

245/40-18 is my suggested size, but 235/40-18 is factory spec which is also good

Hello Fellaz,
I am new on this forum, well... because I bought my 2004 Acura TL only a week ago. It is bone-stock, 5AT,Navi. I was looking into swapping my stock 5 spokes with these below,

These are Bentchi B16s. According to their website the size is 18x7.5(I am only looking into putting 18s on my car, nothing bigger). I don't know what the offset is. Given that I won't be lowering my car and looking for "flush" look, what size of tires am I looking for? Also, I heard that with 7.5 width tires you can only go 235, otherwise tires will be wearing out quicker and it ain't safe. Is that true?Oh, and I know they will fit my car because the bolt pattern is 5x114.3. Any help is appreciated.

you're gonna want to go with 235/40/18 and a +40 offset.

you should search this site before making a wheel decision (unless you're dead-set on those). you can get a good idea of what looks good on a TL here. IMO the TL is a very difficult car to match wheels to (cosmetic-wise).

btw...just because the bolt pattern is correct does not mean the wheel will fit your car...just ask all these guys on this site with Brembo's. if possible always test fit the wheel beforehand. good luck!

Oh yeah, i have one more question. Has anyone seen rims that are black with a little bit of white accents, kind of like the polished lip but white instead of polished. LMK

18x7.5 is too narrow for this car and is not a recommended size

so fitment is not acceptible

there is a slight chance that it will since the wheel is designed for big brakes, in the event that it won't clear you can easily run a 10 or 15mm spacer and that tire size is perfect

there is a lower offet offered for that wheel, thewanderer316 had the very same wheel and it offered a considerable amount of bbk clear

Thanks for the response. Will it clear bbk? I have an auto now but will probably get bbk in the future. How can you tell if it will clear bbk anyway?

if those are the specs it fits because of your drop, the front will have to be 235/35-19 and the rear would be 245/35-19 or 255/45-19

the face of the wheel will prevent clearance you will need to run a 10mm spacer

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model:Axis Pentas
Wheel Size (**X**):19x8.5 and 19x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**):What offsets should I be looking at?
If lowered (amount):A small drop in the future.

My girl and I are flying up to New York this weekend to pick up her 07 Type S (automatic) and driving it back to Houston. We have been checking out wheels this past week and I'm really digging the Axis Pentas. We would like the staggered look and would like to run a 245/35/19 and a 275/30/19. I've read about the the bigger brakes up front possibly causing clearance issues. What should I be looking at in regards to offset to run these wheels on this car? If I have to roll the fenders that won't be an issue. If a minimal spacer is needed to make this setup work we are ok with that as well. We may or may not lower the car. If we did it would be minimal just to close up some of the fender gap but we would not be slamming the car.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Carlos

Transmission :Auto

Wheel Offset : not sure.

Also should I be getting the R Disk? One more thing, what does Full Reverse mean?

Also what size tires should I be getting? 225/35/19?

Normally i don't like staggered but the price looks good to me and i'm digging the style.

Will this fit? and recommended tire size?

Carlos
5mm spacer up front as the 19x8.5 +35 does not clear the brembos
if you plan to lower then you will have to modify your front fender slightly

either works with the tire specs... and if your car is not equiped with brembos it will be fine, if your car is equiped with brembos only the 18x8.5 +35 will fit

full reverse? probably having something to do with the face design, ie. bigger lip... try and get the offset between 34 and 40 to avoid any rubbing
