I Need Help

Looking at this package deal.
Zinik Wheels: 18 X 7.5
Tires Yohokama Parada Spec 2: 225/40R/18
I have a Type S 07.
I don't believe this will fit?
Any answers out there.

Thanks
Sean

Looking to find out what size spacers to use with this. I have a set of 20mm project kicks which work for the front but didn't run anything in the back. I'm looking to know what size would be good enough to clear the calipers up front 10 or 15mm? Also if I use the 20mm in the back, will my tires rub on the fenders?

Thanks for your help
not going to happen.... I would say 25mm spacer

235 is not compatible with 7.5... most tire manufacturer's will state that in their limited warranty... soooo again

x7.5 is .5" bellow factory spec... course you can install them, but do so if you are getting those rims for like 50% off or something

they are over 3% larger than factory spec... would either rub on bumps but the speedo is the biggest worry, your speedo will be reading waaaay off

speedo is what brazilian men wear at the beach...

no its the speedometer it will be thrown off if you get tires that are to big... tires which are 3% larger or smaller than oem spec are considered unsuitable by industry standards

I replied in the other thread but you definitely will not rub even if you choose to run 245/35-19 tires

sorry i found the other thread by searching then I couldn't see it anywhere so when I searched again I found this one so I posted it here too.
So they should clear the brakes and be good on rubbing? Thanks man I think I will be getting these then. I found them for a really really good price

in all likelyhood they should clear... worst case a 3mm spacer would be needed and then that would mean you'd have to run 235/35-19 tires but will sit nice and flush no rubbing

Fantastic thread! nice work guys! From reading the posts, it seems like most 18x8 +35 rims will clear the brembos (except for rims like the Axis widetrack). How do you tell if a rim is like the widetrack?! Will these rims fit? Thanks!

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 05 base
If lowered (amount): 1.5" in front and 1" in rear

Wheel Offset (+**): +35

Wheel #2:
Wheel Make/Model: Tenzo dc-5

It will require a 225 series tire will look extra clean and you will not rub with such a mild drop

Thanks! I assume with a 5mm spacer, there won't be any rubbing.

Someone is selling the following rims/tires and i'm wondering if the REARs will fit. Fronts are 19x8.5, +35. No problem here. Here are the dimensions for the REAR:

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 05
Wheel Make/Model: Axis Hiros
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +35

Does the rear also have Brembo? For me, it seems like the rear doesn't have Brembos. Looking at other 3G users, most people seem to be running 19x9.5 +40 in the REAR... I'm worried +35 will rub when I lower the car

thanks again for your help! you do a lot of us a big help in our continuous frustrating hunt to find rims which clear the brembos!

Al,

Question for you on this:

Wheel Make/Model: Stern ST-1
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x8.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +45
If lowered (amount): A-Spec for MT. .75" rear, 1" front.
Transmission (Manual or Auto): Auto
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 08 Base

I'd like to push the wheels out a bit. Looking at 15mm or 20mm spacers. Will that cause rubbing issues? I'm going to be using 245/35/19 tires.

Also, looking at the Willwood BBK in the future. Will it clear with that offset and the spacers? Thanks in advnace.

i was thinking of putting a 15mm spacer or should i go 20mm?

this route is cheaper then getting brand new tires

do not go larger than 10mm, wheeladapter.com makes a nice one or ichibausa.com

If lowered (amount):~2.5" front ~2.25" rear
Toe is set in line. Front camber is set at -1.2* FL and FR. Rear camber is set at -2* RL and RR.

I know a 245/40-18 will fit all day, and obviously the 235/40-18 will fit as well. Question is:

Given the nature of my drop... will the 265/35-18 tire rub. How many people have ran a similar setup. I've seen references to a 265/35 on the 18x8 A-spec... I've seen people run the 265/35 on the stock 17 as well... I haven't been able to find a rear definitive answer as to whether the 265-35-18 will work on a rather aggressively lowered car without any issues.

yes it will work in your rear, but in the front that is a different story... the front will rub, so go no wider than 255 in front....

bad fitment, it will fit but its a bad fitment, I wouldn't run them unless I got them for like $500

you need 18x8 or 18x8.5

rear
it will be nice and aggressive but you will need to roll the fenders to run real tires
