That look is hot! Brett would never consider that look though! He is very much into the luxury look, that's his thing. But daaayyyuuumm! Talk about bragging rights for WDP!! That looks nice, I don't care what anybody says - that's fucking nice! I would just tweak it by making that mesh part black though. I don't like the grayish look. It reminds me too much of what it looks like when the paint starts coming off. But I would keep the chrome trim!

Man, we are making this car (TL) look hotter than what it is! Acura owes us man! Hahahahahahaha!

Hey PPLAPW, see that last post of mine showing Midnight's car and wondering about the bottom lip being black? That pose looks like your car in one of your pics (wheels, blacked out)! Well, it doesn't look exactly like it, but it reminds me of it sitting like that! The pic of your's I'm talking about is the one where I wished our cars were facing each other in a photoshop pic remember?

PPLAPW, I wanted sandiegodrive to see this pic right here. The grille really has the look we were trying to achieve as far as the floating look:

Wow! I still can't believe how that guy pulled that off! Including the lower grilles!!

Hey guys (especially Brett!)! You know how I am always harping on how NBP is better than WDP? Well, when I was taking those recent pics, see that guy in the white Scion (you can see his arm on the door)? He was drooling the whole time! LOL!

See Brett! He knows, and so do you! NBP baby!

These are so nice...damn!... Both very nice alternatives that I would've chosen if I couldn't get that look! I almost got Midnight_TL's and Buda's! I was giving up hope man!

Somebody may try to steal Buda's grill because it looks like a precious metal or something!

Man, Midnight_TL I bet you are happy as hell you are over those chips in your grille! With that nice ass NBP paint , those are probably history!

To start things off, please do not compare me/my car to that POS Scion just because we have similar paint coats!

His car is and my car is We all know this already, but it's good to reiterate sometimes that WDP is so the misinformed (aka NBP drivers) understand.

He's drooling because he drives a car that is 1/3 the cost of yours (before mods) and he thought he was hot shit with his "custom wheels" until you rolled up and ended the show. Now he's just like "dude, I should have at least 'splurged' and bought a Civic."

That would look hot, no question about it. I mean, it's pretty hard to ruin the look of the TL unless you really mess up. ACCURATein's ride is a pretty good indication of how your mod would look on a WDP, although it's not an exact copy. In order to get the "exact" look, he'd have to make his brushed aluminum trim into white, which -- I think most people agree on -- is not a good idea.

I will say that this look overall look is best suited for NBP, though.

My "A" isn't floating and still need needs to hold itself up with it's two arms but Darksom1 invited me to contribute to this thread so others can see a variety of grill mods that are out there.

You guys are doing great with your custom grills.

I managed to wash some of the bugs off as it was getting dark and was able to get a few pics in during the wash.

These are the 2007 grills on my 2005.
Here is the thread in case some of you haven't seen it.

Over exposed so you can see a little better.

You did a very nice job Crook! That was an original idea! It needed to be seen in the grille thread! Steve was talking about doing some things with the 07 grille trim so I especially wanted him to see it! I think Steve is talking about doing some of everything really! Well, end of May we will see right Buddy?

Thanks again Crook...and in case I forget...way to represent NBP!!!!!

Hey Dark...........yeah I have been driving myself nuts with too many ideas.

If I had my wish .....I would copy Crook (flattery is the best compliment) and then add Mr Buda's black chrome idea.

Maybe not as dark as his tho - but something darker than Brett's......Ideally matching the TLS tails.....

And yes, end of May I am going to begin my little grill project - I still have no idea yet how I'm going to wire them but I will cross that bridge once I get them installed........

Crook - hang around until then I might need you .....LOL

Tomorrow - up at 8am sharp!!
I have a full 1st time Zaino treatment to do !!
Supplies all set - waiting for me by the front door.

If I didn't have to work, I would be bringing the NBP-Mobile to the house for some real live representation of your skills! You wasting them on that ASM! Nobody is going to see the Zaino on your's if they are looking at NBP's!! Brett tell 'em! LOL! Just kidding Steve! I actually thought your car was silver! LOL!

By the way, Brett's chrome is not dark at all. It is bright, but not dark! I love the chrome on his. He paid a bundle to get that! $325 or something like that? I think it would be good if you did Crook's grille, but he did an extensive DIY, so it shouldn't be too hard I don't guess! Crook did all of the hard work!
