Awesome shots, Sean. I love how you have an album on FB dedicated to this lens haha. Keep shooting, I love urban photography. Makes me want to do a long weekend in NYC...

hahaha you liked that huh? No lie, I've been drooling over wideangle's since I was like...14? Now I FINALLY HAVE ONE!!!!

I can't wait for close up drifting pics. and yeah, I'm gonna do a LOT of scenery/landscapes now. I didn't really have anything before. I mean yeah the 18-55, but I find 18mm shots really boring and to me they look like they are from a P&S

today, I'm either going with my buddy who was in street/graff crews for the last 15 years, and/or go down and see the rx7 and get some drift action.

@ Jeremy from last page. Well, with my friend passing, work being shaky, loss of another loved car, and dealing with some clinical shit that makes me very pessimistic; it's pretty amazing I'm constantly upbeat. I always loved photography, but never made myself go out and do it, just waited for the urge. Now I have the urge constantly, and just feel awesome when I'm looking into the viewfinder.

Actually over the weekend I had this really weird moment when after a few hours of shooting, even without looking I could visualize exactly what each lens would look like. That has never happened before! I'm excited though, because I think this means I'm starting to get really comfortable, and finally able to capture what I imagine I can/could!!!!!!!!! :wish :

the diffuser was down, and less than 50% power. 'low boost on 87 octane' is what that means.

I thought you would enjoy that. I'm probably gonna get some more holly shots today. that will be fun. brush her and get her all pretty for it.

although, idk if it was the heat and maybe she didn't drink enough and had a cramp, but the last few days she's been limping when she first gets up. Super weird. hopefully its nothing!!!!!!

Dat look....

This is St. Michael's in Chicago. This spire, is now 290' tall. Formerly the tallest structure in all of Chicago, and survived the Great Fire.

this was through some nasty dirty glass

It was an insanely humid and hazy day. The Hancock building was shrouded in clouds for the whole time except for pretty much this 20 min window.

that will give you perspective for this one...

There you go Tyler. Sorry, my posts kill the server, I know.

Awesome pictures man! What lens were you using for most of those?

This is probably my favorite...

Sean, you still manage to astound me. The 2 birds on the branch...literally, took my breath away along with some of those chrome ball shots. Betty was like, we need to go to Chicago.

Thanks guys!

As for the lion shot, Tyler that one I also love. That was the first picture I took in the zoo pretty much, and it set the bar high for the rest of the day lol.

The ones playing softball, the bean, the concert hall -- that's the 12-24mm.

The zoo shots were almost exclusively the 55-200mm kit VR lens I have.

Last night, this morning, whatever you call...I was up until about 9 am. I looked out the window from my computer and there was a doe with her two bambis, so I hurried up to get out quietly. I didn't get everything set up before they bolted, so I didn't get the best group shot. But here's some from this morning.

The bad one.

Now some good ones.

And, Tyler pay attention. I'm still going 99% of the time without any post-processing. Sometimes I will make it black and white but that's it.

Jesus this thread has to be like top ten of modem killing in this subforum. I have to wait like 5 minutes before I can even post.

for a photo challenge. been waiting on the full moon for what seems like forever.

In honor of my buddies death memorial day. this is what all our friends rock. I figured some of you would love the way the vinyl was designed.

and every time I see this one on my flickr, I love it more than the last.

not even a color edit on that.

some shots from just now.

Got cut short by some random animal growling at me and Holly up in a tree. Started running down at us. I'm not afraid of shit for me, but with Holly around I was worried enough to pull out my knife...
