i may be pretty young, but i will never give a child (even if they are my age) anything unless they at least say one or the other. i do not stand for that crap. but i work with assholes, the same assholes every day, not like retail, so we can be a dick about it all. IRL out at a store its different sadly.

J, what's you're hands down favorite driving mod? i need one soon before i get even more stir crazy in this car

Ok, what is my favorite hands down driving mod, honestly...

Well, the car being lowered makes it handle really nicely, but that's in conjunction with the spacers and rear sway bar etc.

I'd say if I just had to pick one...it's probably the stage 3 exhaust, you know, cut out your 3rd cat and put in a straight pipe and change the resonator for a dynomax res. Cost about $100 for the res and install and gives me the most long term and consistent enjoyment. I LOVE listening to my car on the downshift and upshift. So bang for my buck, I think that was my favorite driving mod. (keep in mind I also have the jpipe which makes it louder but already sounded awesome with just the stage III).

if I could keep adding,
I'd say the comptech short shifter, monster knob round resin shifter, the racing pedals, the clutch checkvalve delete...

As a whole, they make the car feel like a very precise and nice sounding machine.

awesome. i have a weighted blox knob that's around a lb, and don't have a j-pipe or PCD's but do have almost the stgIII. so i guess that means i should be getting the CT short shifter next, which is an agreeable price point to my budget currently. makes me a happy panda.

Oooooo I want to play!

My exhaust is my favorite thing about my car. Even without the j-pipe and race pipe it sounded great. My dad wasn't too impressed when I first got it and then we went through a tunnel. I nailed it and he was laughing his ass off and said "turn around and do it again!"

Dang Tyler, you're selling that thing any time soon?!? I will admit that I loved how it looked on your car. I have always found the oem exhaust tips matching the opening are what really caught my eye on my car. I'm super happy with how it sounds.

Funny question though Vegg...I always think, lowering is most important etc...but as a whole, with budget in mind, I hadn't really thought of what my list of mods that really make the car fun to drive. The short shifter is a no brainer though...took a few days to get used to it but love the precise feeling of feeling it click into each gear and the throw is reduced by a LOT. I can pretty much shift while leaving my elbow on the center console rest now.

Haha nah, the A-Specs and the exhaust will be the last things I get rid of when the TL's time is up.

I love how yours sounds as well. I actually had an appointment to have my mid-muffler deleted and such but then my buddy in Charlotte told me he was selling the exhaust. I called dibs on it months before so he kept his word

Considering how much I paid for the setup, I'm more than pleased. $800 for the catback and $250 for the V2 j-pipe and race pipe. I'm a bargain hunter.

I just happen to know the right people. Plus patience is a virtue

A lot of the stuff on my car is used. I got the A-Spec kit for less than $500, suspension for $80, engine shrouding for free, and the exhaust for right over $1000.

Yeah I have a few videos on YouTube of my car. One of my Chihuahua too

so you didn't do anything on it yet Anil? still gonna try the x-muffler?

project_clean, if you want, i have a resonator like i put on mine still if you want it. $10 and shipping since i have zero idea what it was. cost me $30 each time i did my 'mods', midmuffler/resonator swap since they were 4-5 months apart

am replacing the flex pipe with straight pipe and including a venturi tube....more on it later....with dyno updates

Nice dude...great to know you keep improving upon it.

Tyler, you got it for 800 bucks...wow, you are a bargain shopper. For the most part, I am too...other than getting burned by some ebay azzhole on my first set of tein ss...ended up buying new ones. But other than that, I got killer deals on stuff.

Thanks too, I love how it sounds too...and I've since seen you I know you know I had the leaks all fixed.

Soon enough, man...
Had put the silver grill back on last week...last night I put the black top and v portion of the grill back to my painted black ones but left the bar silver. Looks pretty good, actually.

I miss the works, but I still am loving the ride in with the aspecs.
Plus, still not itching to buy new tires for them since the aspec tires are new.

so wait...i'm confused. you have just the top bar, which is on the hood, is silver, and the rest is black?

or is the 'beak' as you call it, with the top hood part silver?

yeah, or option C which is still too confusing to type out.

^^Bingo!
I've got 3 professionally painted pieces in NBP AND the oem silvers.
So I have tried every combination.
I have the silver bar across with the A and black on top and bottom.

I wanted a little contrast to go with my aspecs...but then felt the front looked too oem. Looks cool now!

I ALWAYS keep AZ in the backround and I toggle back and forth while I wait for certain apps to load. Keeps my mind from losing track of what I'm actually doing. Otherwise I wander. I don't know what the ADD phenomenon is called for this, but I stay focused with slight chaos.

J.

Ok, so seeing GP thread made me think of this, I'd done the opposite before and it looked mildly out of place. Then I saw his with the crossbar A thing looking different and thought it looked cool.

Thanks man, yeah, I definitely loved the murdered out look, but I was ready for a change. I'm sure when the tires start "getting there" on the aspecs my next tire purchase will be 19" and NOT another set of 18's. I'm sure you know what that means.

ha ha ha...and this from the guy that told me he loves my aspecs on the car.

Funny, when I had the black on black on black on black I liked it but didn't like the lack of contrast but when I look at pictures, I DO miss the evil looking black low car look coming down the road. Especially with the yellow DRL lights (module on my oem fogs).

like in the video Vegg posted.
