Thanks boys...maybe I'm just too harsh on my own car
I painted with high temp silver as a base, then regular satin lagoon (teal) from home depot, then Brembo decal, then about 5 coats of regular clear.

Come on man. You've come this far. You know you will have this car for a long time. Mods are going to dry up soon unless you get into something like this.

I'll even sell you my FIC with plug-n-play harness cheap to replace the CT ACM. I'm going Flashpro soon. My FIC already has a good tune so your probably saving at least $500 there and its going to ride soooo much better. Crap i might even help you install it ($1,000+ saved right there).

Life is short......

How the heck did you get your lugs to match so close or did you shoot them too? I was thinking about getting a set of candy red lugs and then trying to get some matching candy mixed up for the calipers.
You upgraded to a bigger set up on the rears too didn't you!

Your car is like crack, addicting, and can't stop coming back to the thread to check her out

PS, Rich and MAS, you guys are very nice. I appreciate the offer no matter what. I always think, well, new car taxes would be $2000 lost...so why not. But fk...$3500 plus shipping, and another $500 for that tune thing...4 grand will be a tough sell to the wife.

If only I could go back in time on all the BS I've spent on the car...

I'd say more like $5000 tuned. Then throw in all the supporting mods... :/

Which is hard to swallow if you intend to purchase a new vehicle in a year or two.

well if you spend the $5k dont buy a new car... which also will mean no worries about monthly payments....

but if you got the itch and can only scratch it by buying something then...

I'm floating around 6.5 - 7k to date on all supporting mods... It was definitely a tough sell to my wife, but hey, fast forward to present day, she enjoys it as much as I do.

It'll be well worth it, trust me on this!

Think next meet, three blown J motors roaring down Griffin Rd for rolling shots.... YEEEESSSS!!

However I assume J, like me, would wait until the TFSI face-lifted B8.5 is more affordable used/CPO.

That would be a good run (rolling start of course):

S5 4.2 FSI Coupé

4,163 cc (254.0 cu in) V8 (CAUA)
260 kW (354 PS; 349 hp)@7000, 440 N·m (325 lbf·ft)@3500
Coupe: 1,750 kg (3,858 lb)
Convertible: 1,955 kg (4,310 lb)

CL-S S/C

I thought after the S5 you convinced yourself the TL was your baby and you couldn't give it up?

I dont think a SC and a tune will get him to 350whp....he will have to spend a lot more $$$ to get to 350whp....

a SC and a tune will likely get him to 310-315whp....
