I have zero gnomes that I know of!
I clay barred it once...in 2010.
I actually apply wolfgang deep paint sealant every 3 months. I gave up on keeping her swirl free. Just love keeping her "good enough".

"Good enough" is definitely not giving yourself NEARLY enough credit. I'm pretty sure most people on here universally agree this is damn near the cleanest TL on here.
And that's not flattery but straight truth man.

I don't know if this is true for you Jeremy, but if your car is anything like mine, it's far from flawless.
The paint shows it's age in real life, rock chips galore, scratches here and there, totally normal for a 2004.
We just do what we can to make it look pretty while it lasts, especially for pictures.
Editing always allows us to bring out the wow factor of the car, way better than if we posted the raw picture.
I suppose this is true for any photo shoot, be it modeling, weddings, etc.
Sorry if I'm speaking for you, but I feel like we relate on lots of things.
LOVE the new pictures by the way!

This thread is seriously fueling my impatience to get going on mine I'll say that much
Picking up my A-Spec tomorrow, then hopefully we get some good weather by the end of march so I can get my summers and new wheels on, dropped and all the goodies I have lying around actually ON the car

J, I hope you know you're going to continue wanting one until you get another one. It's been over two years since my last S2000. I miss that car more than I miss most people.

And nobody that hasn't owned one gets that...they really don't. It's odd...never had an affinity for a car like that.
In the forums...all I'd see were current owners, regretful sellers, or people on their 3rd or 4th S2000. It's crazy because at 15-20K, there are SO many viable car options in the used market. But I keep coming back to the S. Sure...I love a ton of other cars...but to get the trim and model year I love of ALL of them, mustang included...I'm looking at 35-40K. Which isn't in the fkng cards.

You're making me regret buying my TL man. I looked at used s2ks in the GTA and I could have had one with 52k miles on it for 2 grand more than my TL and even afforded the insurance. It would suck in Canadian winter driving though

Oh now you wanna talk about another brand? You already passed up on your buddy's pristine condition E46 M3. Could've just bought it for me bro. Cmon. Now it's totaled thanks to the young, dumb shmuck who bought it hahaha.
Trust me...that's about the size of it. I feel dumb AF for not jumping on that one.
I'm not sure yet about brand jumping...some things have to come into play. I've seen some possibilities and that clean S2000 that my friends might be selling is possible.

It's interesting that you like the TL and the S2000. Two very different vehicles and very different driving dynamics. What makes you like the S so much? I will admit, I'm not a fan of them because they are too small for me. I feel like I'm in a Miata. I have found that my tastes have changed as I've aged. In my teens and twentys I wanted a C5 vette and loved driving my friends. I got one in my 30s and while I liked it, I really wanted something with 4 doors and easier ingress/egress and daily livibility (not that the Vette wasn't, just not as much as the TL).
I find myself looking at other cars and I think everything I like is similar in regards to what I call a 'performance sedan' though my qualifications may be different than others.
I think of CTS-V, E39s (only with LS1 swap ), even Mazaspeed 6s, and even Kia Optimas. I'd consider Mercs but damn not having manuals kills it.
What are you considering if brand jumping? Weren't you looking at an Audi before? B4 S4 or bust!

My friend loaned me his 2014 911 Carrera...I absolutely love driving it...got me thinking, I might be able to swing a used Porsche a la Boxster S. I dig Cayman but I'm really interested in having a convertible.
Funny you mention the S and TL...I felt like they both were good at individual things...S2000 shifter feel is like no other I've driven...just feels so solid and perfect, the car felt light, the convertible made me smile. The TL has bass and torque and looks unique...
but sometimes I felt like I was driving two cars that were lowered and had wheels and I couldn't park just anywhere. Sucked.
I'm really torn...I'll wait it out and see if my friends that are original owners on this one S2000 decide if they want to sell it. I'd highly consider buying it. Other than that, I've thought that if I was going to delve into German engineering...I'd start at a Porsche.
I'm iffy...the red and blue makes me think nope...then again, I'm 35, I'm getting kinda to a point where less is more for me. I liked the white BBS much better.

I would actually buy an S2K over a Boxster. Way more modding potential and a hell of a lot less expensive to own I think. With a used Porscha, invariably stuff will have to get replaced.
And yeah I had a facepalm moment when I went back to look at the wheels. Red with blue is a little much lol
Last photo makes me think of a panther at dusk

Funny you say that...that's KINDA what I'm leaning toward too. It's NOT helping that I have a fucking 100K 911 sitting in my garage right now. Shifter feels awesome...powerful...head turner...smooth drive.
Yeah, no red and blue...get the fucking white ones already!
S2000 will continue to be my focus.

I mean my dream car would be a Cayman S. I've ridden in a Carrera 4S before, as well as the base Cayman and while the Carrera is an amazing car, there is no way I could justify buying one, even used. The Cayman on the other hand is at least an inkling of possibility.
Your dream car should be something unattainable...like the 911
The Cayman you can afford...look up prices on Cayman S's. You would love my buddy's then...the red one with the aftermarket turbo setup.

Ok dream attainable car haha. I have a separate category for "unattainable", and that's littered with wet dreams about owning a C63 Black Series trak pak or a twin turbo Gallardo
