Amber's back!

For now at least...my main hope is the other amber led's show up tomorrow AND that the fog 5k match the osrams pretty well.

at J and Austin

Oh man, nothing is here yet. Waiting for orange leds and HID bulbs to see the real deal
Side markers are nice though hehe

Orange leds won't give you the output of that amber bulb you have in there right now though (during day).... if it does, you are sending me the link

So wing spoiler is over, now lighting brothers huh

To the pictures... Gorgeous dude, colors are great and clear image.

Congrats on the camera, and Austin style backpack

Look how the oval shape of the rim spokes matches the spoiler

And the height is perfect. A little gap to see the sidewall, not too big not too small.
Fuh you

Awesome J Awesome

Thank you, Meko...
You dirty dirty whore..."oh no...don't do amber in your upper fog"...then I find out it's because you don't like that it's not bright enough!
Well, with the DRL module in addition to the USR LED module, I'd be shocked if it wasn't SUPER bright for me...and to be honest...the look is what I care about, I'm not trying to illuminate anything with it.

And guess what...the new dodge dart is what made me want amber DRL too...they have that and it looks awesome.

About the height, it's maxed but barely rubbing...and I agree...it's not budging, I love it at that height. Funny you mention the rims...that was one of the things I realized that I love about the car now...the concave of the wheels matched the csl REALLY well. Whereas the works were very angular and straight and matched the old spoiler really well. New owner received them in good shape yesterday, he was very pleased with condition and fact that I had cleaned them up before shipping. He's waiting on his project MU lugs too.

Let's see, hope you'll receive them today.
Not into illuminating something but want them to be visible like...

Thanks I know, because whenever I see a dodge dart, I try to get the car on my mirrors so I see the DRL ypu talking about

Of course he will be happy We know how you took care of those rims
and so true that shape of the works totally matched the wing too...

That last shot Can't see, I am blind
Tail looks so clean haha, could say this camera really is different than others, dunno if camera or lens but these pictures are like nothing I saw before

Wow Meko, thank you, man...I have felt like it was worth the jump up to the D7000 and I do see why people prefer the pictures a Nikon takes. I am in LOVE with it but it feels good to know that others can ALSO see the improvement.

OH, and that first shot of the elephant tusk...Betty gets photo credit for that...she was messing with my camera (which she claims to not care about )

Here's another she took

and here's another shot I took of the base reds I made this weekend. I posted them on FB for sale, but I'll likely put them on the black market. I actually find this hobby kinda therapeutic...

Wifey and manager wouldn't allow that. ONLY reason she's okay with my modding these days is the little bit of spending/dinner money I can generate!

Fuck my life that car looks amazing. I mean i love my CBP but there is just something about NBP all waxed and cleaned up that creates insane reflections and depth.

I don't know why, but I don't like that picture at all. I do agree it looks very reflective there. Trust me though...there are imperfections galore...the sun is my kryptonite.

J, get a circular polarizer...it'll smooth out all that heavy glare and make that NBP look wetter than I am right now.

well the picture content itself may be a bit too busy (tons of shit reflecting off the car which somewhat distracts from the vehicle) but my main thing is the car is well-appointed (wheels, clear headlights, custom fogs, etc) and NBP + detailing + sweet camera = awesome car. It's just crazy how much depth and clarity there is in the reflections coming off the paint in that photo.

The 35/1.8 takes 52mm filters and the 18-105 takes 67mm filters. I'd get a 67mm CP filter and then get a 52-to-67 step-up ring so you can use it on the 35/1.8 also. Otherwise you'll have to buy 2 separate CP filters. The step-up rings are only like $10.

John, thinking about buying the kits again. I'm staying away from the $10 kits...but I was pretty happy with the polaroid kits and they're not too expensive.

^Not bad, but the image is pretty soft. Not sure if that's from your image host or not. Also, if you want to put more emphasis on the flower, you should crop out all the dead space around it so the image looks more zoomed in.

I appreciate the feedback and delicate criticism...but again, I wasn't really trying to make it a framed piece, I quite literally had just gotten the camera, slapped a card in it and started snapping and wanted to see how small of a focused area the 18-105 was capable of.

So, here are the shots I took today. Not the best, but a few decent ones. I learned that a monopod DID make things MUCH better, but still don't replace a tripod for TRULY low light pictures.

Oh, and also, introduction of my new lighting setup...which I am in LOVE with. I guess I just got sick of seeing the 6K led/hid setup everywhere on the road. In some ways I felt like it cheapened the look...although I agree with swoosh that it did look pretty cool. You all already know me, the way I keep from getting bored of this car is constantly changing things up.
Amber LED parking, Osram CBI (approx 5000K), Ebay 5000K H11 inspire bulbs that match pretty well. Looks like a very bright white with no hint of blue at all. I missed the amber...got my upper fogs with drl module to work yesterday...one of the amber led's wasn't working so they're shipping another, but in the meantime, I soldered another wire and got the broken one to work. I'll post pictures of that in the coming days. All I can say is that NBP, the amber snake eyes look is awesome.
