Well fuck me sideways, MAS. Thank you! That is a very big compliment...coming from you, really? Do you really think it would be mag worthy? I mean, I love them but it's my car and my work. Thanks again, man.

I'm a new member to AZ, just picked up a 2007 WDP TL last month.
I literally spent my July 4th weekend going through your whole thread....amazing is such an understatement.
You'll definitely be an inspiration when it comes time to mod my car.

Side view....low slung, raked wedge shape....check
Rear view.....great spoiler combo, impeccable tails, quad tips.....check
Front view....amber/pure white/nbp combo perfection...check
You sir, are at the top of the food chain.

Now I know you don't agree with what I'm about to say but hear me out for a second.
In my opinion removing the tint will take you over the top and I'll tell you why.
Think about the improvement you recently made when you changed your wheels. I contend that the reason the new wheels took you to the next level is because you gained contrast you didn't have with the other wheels. Now from any angle you can appreciate the shapes and geometries that you couldn't before because it all was the same color and looked the same.
If you get rid of the tint the contrast of the interior shapes & lights and the contrast from the background coming thru the Windows will take you to the next level.
I know it ain't easy, especially here in Florida but I firmly believe you will increase the sexiness as much or more than when you changed the wheels.

Maybe I'd believe the trick photography if you didn't say none of the shots were edited Even if the car isn't as clean as it is in the pics, I bet it wears its age well. Like a war veteran, or Jennifer Aniston.

Jeremy, all new shots are awesome.
The one that struck me the most is the reflective wheel/tire shot.

Well, I DO appreciate the time you took to plead the case, MAS. Seriously! The idea is well well well thought out. There are 2 things for me. 1, you're right about the Florida heat. More than just for comfort though...having had a dash crack and replaced...I'm petrified of revisiting that issue. I use a sunshade, crack my windows (visors for rain!) etc to keep inside temps down. I could not give that up for a look.
In addition, when I first got the car on 09, I did consider not getting tint..it did look nice and pretty. BUT, that said...I did like the contrast but didn't like how "busy" the car looked when you could look in and see the seats and cd book, planner on the seat etc.
To be honest, I roll with windows down almost always anyway so really, for pictures I can "create" either look.
Thanks Steven, that's my phone background now.
Thank you, bud. I appreciate it.
Right on, my friend...you got it. Thank you!

Jeremy great new shots....
I did get a glimpse of them on flickr and yesterday was a busy busy day so cudnt log in and comment....
The shots look awesome....I wish your upper fogs and the indicating LED's were a tad bit brighter...the chrome seems to pop from between the amber....
But I am loving how you are handling the new tool....a camera is very very capable but a good photog will take it to the limit....you are doing great....
awww
here you go Ty
PS: you look so sexy when you mad

Know something funny, Kurt? I didn't even plan that...I was done shooting and the puddle was very small and only near the car...so it wasn't till I got up close and saw that there was a reflection in the water!
THank you!
Dennis, THank you, brotha!
Anil, thank you so much, man...I promise you, not sure if it's because it's LED, but they look bright in person. Maybe not as bright as with the white ones...but I'm happy with it!

How about some more rolling shots and vids to better appreciate what that thing looks like driving down the road??

J, I can't say I love the return of the amber, but I don't hate it either. It's a nice change though

Roller shots? From Adam?
My pants just moved...I hope so too.
Thanks Meko...that's pretty much the only rolling vid I have with the new wheels. can't wait to get some good ones at the next meet. We should pick a day soon.
Tyler, thanks man...I know what you mean, but I do really love the amber. On NBP...it just looks very sexy, the contrast.

We miss him, when is he coming back
Blame the car, you would've done the same thing if Betty didn't said no and take the keys
Ok I am a little crazy
LEDs are not bright but they really do match to parking bulbs right Jeremy? OK if it was bright we would've noticed them better at day time BUT!!! at night guessing wouldn't look like a snake eye (by being brighter than parking bulbs)
Contrast matches perfectly right now
Why does it say "receiver" at the bottom of the page, tags section

Well, I'll start with saying that both Anil and Tyler were right...I immediately felt like I'd taken a mod step back. And Meko was right about the ambers being MUCH more dim, which annoyed me since I look for the reflection of the front of my car in other cars and I couldn't see them...during the day, you could barely tell they were on.
Anyway, needless to say there was some soldering and working on the car today. Pictures are on the way. They 6K switchbacks don't match the CBI when shot digitally, but in person looking head on, they flow well.
Here are some vids of the CBI Osram in action on the highway at 445am the other morning.

Probably just the video...I ended up getting the Osrams that were "up to 5500K" but they're very white and not blue so it's probably lower. The original CBI's I had gotten were the brightest but they were 4300K and no way in hell was I willing to go that yellowish.

Thanks, boys.
SO, my next mission is what? Figure out if I want to resell the CBI and go with some morimoto 6K that match what I already have. Or try and figure out getting a switchback that looks 5K rather than 6K. Hmmmm...
It's an obvious discrepancy in the pictures. Went to a site of where this rear deck/bar fell into the bay a few months ago during a Heat game. It's an old famous hotel bar called "shuckers". Looking like they aren't making any repairs just yet!
I also spent a few hours working in the wheel wells, reworking some connections and rewiring the blinking sidemarkers. The use and reuse of t-taps had left my oem wiring in poor condition, both my signal wires were being held together by 3 strands of the wire so I cut, ran the sidemarker 18 awg and soldered/heatshrunk for a solid connection. Swapped out my DRL LED to another set I had in the attic (the USR one I had, needed repair and these looked a little more 5k ish).
J.
I'm really in awe of what this camera can do. Even full sun came out pretty well with zero touching up. I hadn't put my CPL on yet, but I will.
My favorite fiancee
Up close, you can see the color discrepancy.
2 reasons why I ended up going back to all white...1, Meko was right about it being very dim. During the day, you can't even tell they're on. 2, the amber accentuates the imperfections and yellowing in the lens where the white hides it. 3, I felt like I took a modding step back. I enjoyed how my car felt like it looked like a white wall of light going down the road and didn't look like any stock TL you'd see. I just built up my collection of lights, LED's and HID bulbs in a major way.

Whaaat, swapped sidemarkers too... don't you ever get lazy?
1- Don't waste time with matching them, fuh it just leave it and run orange one week, blue one week haha
2- Is that a LED or HID in upper fogs? If it's an LED I want the link right now
3 - Interior shots for me? Thanks Awesome shots
but why you no close the covers in front of the shift
4- Thought you had blue footwell lighting. White looks perfect
5- Has anyone tinted the non-nav screen? So it looks like UA7 or much cleaner???
