Shooting in direct sunlight is difficult, no matter the color of the car and with that said, those pictures turned out great
I really wish the threat of rain here would go away so I could clean my car and get some pictures

About the airbag...just have to keep an eye on it...most soaps end up drying stuff out...I'd be leery of advice given by anyone that doesn't truly understand the problem or blame the old silicone in the armorall that was an issue in a formula they had in the 80's or 90's.
At home, my car was always garaged, but at work it just baked in the sun all day. It's also good to note that the car gets so hot that on my drive home it would take the car a solid 10min to start blowing cool air (no highway driving on my route). Also, I have NEVER used a sunshade.
The only products I have used are:
- First year - I used the Honda/Acura combined cleaner/protectant. When they changed to separate products I stopped using it.
- After year one and until now I have used a combination of 303, and Meguiar's quick interior detail. Nothing else.
So far, the car I bought on Dec 26th, 2005 has not had any dash issues. I know it's time to reapply protectant when I start to see the the lines showing through. And because I am posting this I am sure i'll walk out to my car and see a cracked dash. LOL. That's just my

I generally coat with whatever I wax the car with. Honestly...if they get tooo bad, I'll either have them painted (as suggested), or lose them. I bet they leave little ridges in the rubber though...and then no more leaving windows cracked.
I know this has been a discussion in your thread lately and here is my experience. First, know this. The first 5 years I owned my car I lived in AZ. For those of you that do not know. PHX, in the summer is notorious for having 45+ days in a row of 110+ in mid summer.

That's identical to my life...first 5 years the car saw NO sun actually...under a shade tree at home and awning at work. Then next 4.5 that I've owned her...garage at home and sun shade at work while in full sun. I treated the dash constantly did 303 and kept it looking good, meguiars...and cracked. That's why I think it's more about keeping the ambient temperature in the car down than it is to keep the sun off of it or keep it damp. Either way, I hate how dry it looks so I'll do what you suggested!

First I have to say I really enjoy going through your thread the car always looks amazing!! What bulbs were you using in your fogs/DRL to give you the "snake eyes" look? If you don't mind me asking

That color? GTFO! NBP 4 LIFE!
How much rake do you have J?

I don't know...I rike it very much though!
I'm maxed and camber is -1/-1.5R so that's just how the car sits with no more adjustability front/rear. I'm sitting right around approx 23 7/8" all around, but the bottom of the car still has the rake. John Linn got rid of that but it requires tucking more rear tire, kinda like most BMW's.

I've got too much right now. I'm going to go all the way down in the rear I think. I didn't when I went lower earlier this summer. I'm maxed in the front but can do another half inch in the back.
Car just looks odd when the rake is too high....
Edit: BTW the front plastic under guard piece or whatever looks like it's touching the ground in the last pic! Lol

I agree Chad...I had 1/2" in left on rear and front maxed with the works. From certain angles it looked good, but otherwise looked like "face down azz up".
Chris, I only surrendered title because it seemed like it was REALLY important to you to be the one that had the batmobile. Small victories, I always say...

Jeremy, remember our talk about why mine was sitting way lower at the front than your TL, even though we have the same coils?
I am going to ask you something. How about your MT and my AT weight difference?
That brown stock TL again Oh my god leave him alone for once, he is sick of you making his car look bad... gosh
#8473
Funny enough, that's my buddy that only likes chrome 20's.
He doesn't even like my car! How much of a weight diff for the MT? I'm not sure, man. My car sits low!
Anil, I have a small army of people that detest me. I keep adding to it on a monthly basis. My mommy tells me their the problem though.
TLGirl
Thank you!
Steven, you're the bomb. Tireless thread title updating job. You're the best!

I am not someone that likes discord with people. In general I don't mind admitting my faults and apologizing for my part in things. But I expect people to be the same way and MOST aren't. That takes me back to getting picked on in middle school and maybe not always being able to make my Dad proud and then I get nasty, defensive and ruthless.

totally understand where you are coming from....most people resort to humor as a way to hide defensiveness...
and Dads will always have high expectations from their kids...you will achieve some, you wont achieve some....but i bet he will be proud of you no matter what and where you stand today
I was a total tool in school and college....didnt give a shit to anyone and any of their feelings....but well as I age and look back, I tend to improve myself, and be more watchful of others feelings and try to 'stay calm and browse on'
and since you are opening up, my Dad did expect me to graduate from MIT with a full scholarship....he thought I had the potential, but I was a lazy FUCK LOL....well I didnt live upto his dream/expectations but I bet he is proud of where I am today and makes me happy that he is proud

^^^Well, your background dictates very high expectations. Indian and Asian cultures generally expect more from their kids...which isn't a bad thing. My Dad is a hippie massage therapist. He gets mad when you don't respond to every one of his feelings or emails. I'm not sure how much more proud or not proud I could possibly make him but it's never enough.
In Elementary and Middle school...I got picked on. I was the European kid with an earring and weird clothes. Kids are ruthless...in HS, I was popular and I was a mean SOB to people to mask my insecurities. By my mid 20's I started to love the person I was and have strived to be the best person I can be. I slip often, but my main and only goal is to be a better person tomorrow than the guy I am today and NEVER expect not to fk up. Because I do that often. Liberating when you allow yourself to be human and STILL love yourself.
Sorry, that ish got deep.

hey its all good....
its always good to learn the other person on a personal level
sometime it does feel like "how much more should I do to make him proud" but trust me, he is already proud of you....some parents just dont know how to express it
