LOL...all good, man! PS...guess who WISHES he could live in Cali!
THIS GUY RIGHT HERE...San Diego all day long. I wish...perfect weather, nice people, can drive to beach OR mountains. What more can a guy want? One day I have a feeling I'll end up there!
Ok, so today, backing into a spot at jury duty...I figured I'd hit the parking bump before i hit the metal pole sticking up...WRONG. MAN, I hit it hard...dented Aspec. Oh well, I've convinced myself that all these little things are just battle scars and give the car character!
Touched it up a bit so not too noticeable...also, noticed my right rear tire is eating up on the inside. Dammit...those morons at tire kingdom don't know what the f*** they are doing. Since I'm going to have to swing by again anyway and get it REaligned, decided I'd lower the car a bit more, just to see. I'm seriously considering removing the camber kits to have the car sit and handle the way it naturally wants to. Not sure about it yet though. Pretty happy with the drop though...lowered it about more than 1/4" more of threads. Sitting LOW now.
I'll get some shots soon.

If you tire is getting eaten up even after a camber kit, then taking it off will kill them....yes the car sits so much better, the stance is x10000 awesome-rrr....but the tires wont last at all....my falkens were bald, yes BALD in 15K miles....
Haa, we all wish we could live in Cali........where the cost of living is sky high and fuel is WAY over $4.00 a gallon. I just saw regular gas today for $3.65.
This has been a wet Spring. I just got new !uick Detailing Spray by Griot's Garage and it hasn't stayed on the Type S for more than a day....it's all good though. I love cleaning my car!
Come on Swoosh-KC isn't that bad. Besides, you'd miss me and Buda if you lived somewhere else!

also FL is higher than CA in my books coz of cost of living is less in FL but at the same time CA offers better salary and more opportunities....

Hell yeah! Good points...won't be removing the camber kits. Will likely see if there are any local acura techs that might be willing to check my alignment. Someone that knows what they are doing. I hate paying when I have a 3 year alignment paid for but if it kills my tires might be worth it. Thanks for the advice...
Funny thing...I moved my car 3 times before I parked looking for that PERFECT spot. I saw the pole but thought for sure I'd hit the parking bump with my tire before the bumper slammed into it. Considering how hard I hit, damage isn't bad at all. It upped my street cred.
Got a cool video of my exhaust setup in the parking garage I figured I'd share (also have one after I lowered the car more which I will post in a bit):

Ok, my neighbor and friend was outside and he's been asking to drive my car so I let him drive it around the neighborhood. Loved seeing it rolling!

also i love that part when you see ur car rolling....i was playing 1-1 soccer in the backyard with my friend when my girl thought she would take my car (as it was blocking hers) to walmart....i see a black car rolling and i was like fuck thats a hot car....just to realize it was mine

Seeing your own car roll around ftw. I'm always getting sick of the way my car looks because I never see the outside of it . I had my girlfriend drive my car a few weeks ago and I was like damn, that's a good looking car!
Jeremy your exhaust sounds great!

Thanks man...yeah, that light rasp when cold is what's kept me from going PCD. I don't want it any raspier. I'd like deeper but am not willing to give up the stock exhaust tips. Eventually I'll maybe go with mufflers and keep the tips...we'll see. I love how it sounds now, it has this gurgle. Also, it is a bit deeper when not in the garage, the garage made a weird resonance that made it record louder I think.
About the car thing...it's funny, I always think other people are so lucky to be able to see her rolling, I'm here I am breaking neck trying to see a reflection in a sidepanel or truck centercap. BUT, once you realized it was yours that's the bomb. Something similar happened to me but with my chick instead of car. I see a girl walking into the gym and I was like "dang...who the eff is that!!!"...then I realized it was my fiance. That's always a good feeling.

Thank you very much...
You probably won't believe me...but I've ALWAYS said black on black sucks. I mean, I've seen the occassional Lambo or Charger or something that is lowered right and has black wheels and it looks pretty good.
BUT...great deal on Stepdad's TL lease buyout and BAM...stuck with a black car. Then, great deal on some WORK wheels that in the pictures on the forum looked like a dark gunmetal...turns out they get here and they're as black as can be. So yeah, I worked with what I ended up with but NEVER would have been my first choice. I love color...my last car was a blaze orange metallic RSX. I would have chosen carbon bronze pearl with some gunmetal wheels...BUT, too expensive to change now so I forced myself to love what I got!

^I hear you on that. I've been thinking about parting out my car and getting a KBP Type-S but I would lose too much money in the process. I've just gotta learn to love what I have.
#420
the funny thing is that to someone else...we DO have what they dream of.
I found a CBP at the nearest Acura dealership...07 type S...manual tranny. new clutch...(at 41K miles?) and i could tell the car hadn't been detailed or cared for very well and they weren't willing to budge from the $28K asking price. I was down to 11K on my 04 at that time and I finally decided it would be a really stupid move. Almost the same car...and owing that much more. For that, I'd wait and eventually get something RWD with a little more power.

Yeah, eventually I KNOW I'll end up PC them. Probably next time I have to get tires. I figured I'd enjoy the black on black theme for a while and then pick a really cool color to PC them. Nothing too loud though...some sort of silver or gunmetal.
#425
Well...THEN you go and post up that picture and I think...I'll be keeping them black then!
At least black reflects EVERY color so I don't have to pick one. Also, in watching the video of my car rolling, it does look DAMN mean...low to the ground and looks like it's just floating until it passes and then you can actually see the spokes spinning. I love it. If I picked a color to PC, I'd probably want an intense one...and if I had an intense one, I'd get bored of it. If I did gunmetal or silver, I might as well have kept the Apecs on.

dude, you're the man...what program do you use to touch them up...if you don't mind me asking? that interior one looks like a factory Acura picture. AMAZING. Thank you...
I was going to send you more of them, but I didn't want to freeze up my email by sending too many 2.5 meg pics!

i actually use flickr pro, and picnik pro. they have lots of fancy little features. overall it ends up being about $50 per year to have it, but i have "photoshop" on any computer i choose to use.
send me more if you want, especially if you have some ones that aren't in a sunset type of light. there's a couple cool effects that look awesome but with your black car with the orange tint it's just looking really grainy (one of them which i didn't post in particular, i'm sure you can pick it out)
i'm no photoshop master, i'm just trying to get the hang of things and you used a lot of edit's that made me think we have similar tastes so figured i could help out a bit...which we obviously do LOL
edit, here's some examples of my own car and what i kinda want to do with your pictures
plus i'm a picture whore. LOL

YOU'RE a picture wh*re?!?!
I am too. And yeah, we definitely like similar camera effects...those 4 you messed with are a perfect example of what I love. To be honest I messed with picnik myself and was about to pay for picnik pro because it's an amazing tool and there are constantly more effects available. My fiance actually might be picking us up a copy of PS but if there is an easier and more readily available way to tinker...I'd opt for that.

if you plan to take it really seriously, then you need photoshop for sure. but if you just want to tinker with your photos or edit them, it's more than enough.
i altered the contrast and color but <10 on their sliders. that's why i was saying keep it simple. you make small changes on 4-5 different things and you can't tell much if its the camera or the edits. then you add effects and its noticeable. premium picnik is definitely worth it if you like picnik itself.

thanks man! i know its really flashy and most just hate on it. but it was my baby/dream car. was making about 420awhp and 430wtq when i sold her. which i regret.
and this is my favorite picture. the color's pop.
fyi, the wheels are a candy powdercoat (purple but more "blurple") and you can tell how much more lively they are than a flat/gloss/satin color and that's really how vibrant they were in person (unlike unedited pictures)

Yeah, that's gorgeous...I'm guessing Nitrous' last set of wheels were just normally coated as they didn't flash as much...I like both looks though. Intense color choice!
I am always thinking about changing/selling cars etc...but I've ALWAYS regretted CHOOSING to get rid of past cars and i KNOW I'd miss the TL in a major way.
I'm making close to that WHP and WTQ too btw...and then normally Ill wake up and the sheets are all gooey.
and when I drive in reverse it's RWD.

sooo...been messing with my drop. lowered the car to basically all the way down on tein ss. Looks cool...tucking tire but MAN, does the car drive like shit. I mean, I could get used to it, but I feel like I'm getting to the point where I appreciate being able to enjoy the ride moreso than have to keep looking for pothole or freak out every time I rub or hit a crack in the road (that makes the car make that sound that makes your skin crawl).
decided to mess around and put it to 3/4" on front and 1 and 1/16" on rear and drove around the neighborhood, wow...car is so much more responsive when slaloming and I took a sweet curvy road near my house much, much faster without the car feeling squirrely.
since it's never low enough anyway, I think I may get realigned at this height. settle for low enough and drives great all in one.
I was messing with picnik and see what you mean about easily OVERDOING it. Toned it down on a bit. Also, this is how she sits now.
