Time to install the brakes
I remember there was a something like bed in procedure or blah blah I don't remember and can't find it
What should I do after installing the brakes? 50-0 and some light brakes?
Is there something specific, or naah just drive it

Ahaaa, Helltoe did it again

After installing new brake pads, confirm pedal pressure before driving car. On an open road with no traffic, make 3-4 heavy slow-downs, NOT complete stops, from 30-10 mph then fast
accelleration and repeat with increasing pedal effort/brake effort each time until just shy of ABS activation. The idea is to heat and maintain that heat in the pads and rotors during the
procedure.
On an open road with no traffic, make an additional 2 to 3 hard slows from approximately 45 mph to 5 mph applying firm pressure.Do not drag brakes or come to a complete stop. Engagement of ABS or threshold braking is not required but if it happens that is ok.
Now, gradually building heat into the brakes, I like to run up to about 80 and bring the car down to about 40 mph in a short distance with heavy pedal pressure. Do this 2-3 times. You may experience some fading if your brake fluid is not upgraded and you have stock brake lines.
Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down by cruising at normal speeds.

swoosh, doesn't the rear filter makes the cabin smell like burned oil?
I replaced it with a hose
Left one looks clean

Everything is ready for independent fog switch but can't find the spot to pass the firewall
I know it's those 2 wires on the top left
Red Blue goes to green wiper wire
White Blue goes to steering

GP? You there?
J.
Is the firewall cover that black thing???

Nohh I don't have any codes but it's almost there, I knöööööew because of 13 mpg

Drove the car, no more oil smell

hahah nice on the rims and suspension...
PS the 13mpg is not due to O2 sensors but most prolly due to your right foot
I am at 169K miles and still no CEL's from O2 sensors...the only CEL which I have is from EGR delete....you need to just clean your O2 sensors at most....Jeremy did a write up somewhere in his thread on the CEL...I like it that he documents everything and not like me, just go install and enjoy....he takes pix and does a good write up....
the steps are to just soak them in gas overnight and clean up and put em back on your car....you should be fine....return the stuff @ amazon and put that towards tire money

Oh maan.. just canceled it.
But some say it's 02 sensors if you see 13mpg. That's what I read
I am serious, it's not my right foot. Car used to do better mpg during city.
Wat do you mean soak them in gas? There is a liquid gas?

thanks Anil.2 things...
I think I did soak in gas the 2nd time, can't recall. The upper 02 sensors are actually air fuel ratio sensors...so they will affect your mpg due to changing and running rich/lean. In my case, they were running rich and the car was bogging and my mpg weren't great. I removed the uppers, and soaked in seafoam/gas for a full day...then I took them out and shook them to try and dry out the insides...set it on fire even, I think to burn it off. Anyway, plugged back in and for 5 minutes it bogged BADLY...then, got on the highway WOT and by the time I got to work it was good to go. Now, I don't think the CEL disappeared immediately...it took a while for it to cycle and then clear and I've been CEL free for like 6 months now...:fingerscrossed:
Meko...yes, that is the grommet in the firewall...take a small flathead, slide under the lip and use your finger to pinch and pull it out...don't drop it...it's perfect to drill out the center of it slightly so you can fish it over your wire you're running into the cabin. Use a hanger, press in and down and to the right and it should appear somewhere in the driver foot area. Some electrical tape, pull it through.
Thanks guys..
Will remove and check it, I'll take pics as well.
So I have to use seafoam and gas...
J. did it change the MPG a lot?
Swoosh, order is not canceled, received an e-mail saying I was late. So they are on the way
Will pass the firewall today

Hey MEKO,
The firewall pass is that black grommet piece.
I find an easier pass through is where the main harness goes through. It's right on top of the deadpedal. Can't miss it.

For the one on top of the dead pedal, you need to actually poke a hole through the grommet with a clothes hanger while the wire is attached to the clothes hanger at the end. Then just pull through.

I think I have manual transmission issues with anything around the clutch pedal...so I did middle firewall. For Austin's, super easy.
GP, like this?
GP, like this?

I can remove that middle firewall grommet no problem, but when I try to push the wire through, there's like a plastic impenetrable lining material blocking it. Was there one of those for you?
