In case you see this before your PMs:

To paint the bumper,that bondo needs to be sanded down a lot more, and then have a little bit of putty laid on it to hide the scratches. Silver Metallic is an extremely hard color to match. Either way, the whole bumper needs to be scuffed(remove the clear) and spray color only in the area that the bodywork was done+then clear the whole thing.

I wish I saw this last week, I had a Painted rear bumper cover sitting out back that went in the trash.

For real...MEKO, after your first round, you should feel for indentations, generally when doing filler you want to sand down and apply a 2nd and maybe 3rd coat to ensure everything is filled.

Shoot, I guess I've been paying more attention to Nexson than I thought...

and after a coat, I did sand it down...

^ Jeremy's right, especially on silver and in that area of the bumper. You'll be unhappy if it's not fixed correctly and I promise you will notice it every time you walk out to your car. At least that's how I am. If something isn't right, I constantly stare at it so I'm reminded of what a Fail it is. lol

oh and also repainted the engine cover





So far so good I am happy with MPG at city
Moving at the end of the month...back to highways again

No Anil, waiting for gas needle to drop to count 40mph-60mph run

I don't want to do balance/allignment to my current tires that I will have to replace when snow comes in
Should I get new 245/40/17 today and go with it until next spring. Because I can't pay $1200 for both rim and tire today
18" tire is more expensive

I am graduating this August...and then full time work
Sooooo next year spring will be fun mods since I will have moneeeeeeeeeeey

Meko, you're getting your bumper painted anyway, why not take the opportunity to see what they'd charge you to pull the spoiler/weld and paint the trunk while at it? Might be worth the investment if you're serious about doing it. I really love you, but now that mine is gone, I swear, I cringe every time I see it.

Also, congrats on suspension, can't wait to see!

Also, 1 billion percent WAIT on rims, enjoy a smooth ride and cheap tires for now...wait for a good deal on wheels you LOVE not rims you buy just cause cheap.

I totally agree with Jeremy on the rims....ride the OEM rims for now (just get some all season tires) and next year get rims with some nice summer rubber and then you will have a winter and summer set.....That is exactly what I plan on doing....I might be getting the Pirelli PZero All Season in this week from Sams on my stockies and next year will be the year of rims....

I swear I will be done after that LOL
