J. you have the clutch attached there.
You don't have that firewall as I know

Will try that GP, because seems easier.

Honestly, on MY car, I never noticed the grommet and went thru the rubber of that huge wiring harness to the left of it...
With Austin's I popped the grommet/plug out and reached in with my finger and felt something, but it moved out of the way, my first push down toward driver footwell absolutely went right on thru...
it actually scared him cause he was in the car and he felt something hit his shoulder.

Deadpedal one seemed hard to pass through

I did the independent fog light

I got the power from the airbag cable, it was green
then I removed it
and tapped it to ather green wire, which was the last green cable

Came out to be VSA cable

What the hell

anyways
Fogs doesn't work. Red/Blue one is tapped to VSA cable

+

When I turn on the switch, fog indicator turns on. I thought it shouldn't

---------------

I got the cable from the mid firewall

Took that switch off, one with green tape
Don't have a picture but used the white/blue wire
The blue that was light blue. NOT DARK BLUE

2 Green wires
I know I have to tap it, I don't know why I cut it

It was like light bluish
should I try the other one?
I didn't check the fuses though

Waht the heck did I disconnect

Here you go...still can see the fog indicator

Dammit I reread the text on facebook Austin. You said it was the dark blue

MEKO, does your independent fog light work?

And yes, for the wiper motor wire, you should have tapped it, and not cut it!

No it doesn't

Probably have the wrong wire colour.

Try the dark colour!

Nah, that was a mistake.

Do it like his, with the right colour!

Btw, what is this green VSA wire you're talking about that you tapped the red/blue to?

Okay will do this with the dark blue

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...E/P1140173.jpg

VSA?
I don't know, after I cut the green wire, VSA light and VSA symbol came on.
Turned off after I tapped all of them together.

Tried another green wire, and then airbag light came out (after I cut the wire)

Yeah, it's gotta be dark blue since Austin confirmed.

As for the green wire, it should be the wiper motor wire that you tap into.
I think you're tapping into the wrong wire since it should not affect the airbag or VSA.

Ignore the captions, but use as a visual aid.

Yes!!!! Wrong harness dammit
Pictures suck at that DIY

Yeah left the airbag and VSA alone Tapped it to wiper motor...which is Green
Steering? Yes it was the dark blue one

Couldn't figure out what the light blue wire was for but only thing I forgot to try was high-beam. Might be for that

I was at school, fixed it there. Just came home and here are the pictures.

Thanks for the help GP and Austin

Right top blue....why can't people say than in DIY
and that first picture is wrong. The guy used the light blue wire

Benefits of having tinted lens cover and crazy LEDs behind it
Just taking one cover was enough

Same with yellow fogs if you ask me..

Thanks dude...was the first mod that freaked me out how the heck did I find airbag and vsa

Got both upper o2 sensors today..will check tomorrow. I might just install them instead of dealing with cleaning the current ones and returning the new ones

It was hard to open that harness too.
Can't see the one right in front of me
anyways

Yes take out the 3 screws
and then punch the covers
you will see it will not work
and then you take a flat screw driver
stick it in the middle connection line
pop the left side
pull it up with your hand
left side pops by itself

nice avi by the way

MEKO, put the wire cutters down and step away from the vehicle....

holy fk...you so calmly, oh I cut this wire and that wire and my vsa lit up and my airbag lit up. Like it's totally normal.

FKKKK...

Either way, looks good.
If glare and 'crossing the beam' scares you I'd highly recommend you keep your fogs and lows the same color. Changing that will make it more apparent.

What I'd REALLY love to see is a mod day where it's just you and Austin modding and doing electrical on BOTH your cars. That would be a hoot.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:53 AM.
