Why?
I want something that makes it grab faster if fluid changes that

then get the Valvoline Dot 3&4....

the brake pedal feel of the wifey's Lexus is not good at all, so I decided to get a decent fluid for her car...didnt make a difference....from what I have been reading, the master brake cylinder of that car is what makes the brake pedal kinda spongy....

either way, I was running Valvoline dot 3&4 for almost 2-3 years and it did well

I see..
FX is soft too. Way too soft, softer than any other we experienced. Their comment is because it's a big car, don't want car to jerk too much when braked hard

Bremsflussigkeit
I think what that fluid trying to say is, Brembo Fluid is Shit

Meeks...I want to ask about Infiniti vs Acura on the SUV line up since you have both....

strictly from a maintenance and repair point of view....I am looking into both and am very confused on the SUV we wanna get....

the debate is between MDX/QX60/X5...and we all know, how BMW goes down the line after 4-5 years of ownership....am overall am confused....will call you sometime if you dont mind...

Thanks Will
Can't wait to install it, never had a good radar before

Let me tell you why I bought it really.
I started to think about buying v1 a week ago and a brand new one, since no one sells theirs... surprisingly Kurt posted the thread abou his dad's gift

Last week I was doing 135mph on a 55mph road, on the way to work.
I thought there wouldn't be any cops because it snowed that morning and roads were snowy.

All of the lanes are empty and there is one Audi 10x10 on the left lane doing 75mph. I was going to pass him but didn't and stayed at his rear, so he could give me a road.

He didn't of course, this is America, I passed to his right, floored it, with some spins from snow, I got up to 90's and there was another car in front of me, middle lane

So, the second I was about to get on to left lane, to front of Audi, and left rear end of the car in the middle lane, I saw the cops rear bumper all the way on the right side.

Why rear bumper? Because there was a bridge, he was behind the bridge, as the second we came enough close to see the cop, the car on the middle lane blocked the front end of the police car.

So my eyes went to right side and between the bridge's leg and the car on the middle lane, I saw cops rear bumper.

Of course I friggen floored the brake, dropped to 60s and continue driving cross the rear bumper of the car on the middle lane, so I could slow down without him seeing me. And I did

I know I am good at spotting those idiots in MA, I just know
That's how my eyes went to that corner, other wise I am doing 90 on a snow, got angry to a guy and trying to pass him blah blah wouldn't think about a cop at that second.

After that it kind of knocked me, one day I will not be lucky, I need a radar

Have to keep the record of not getting speeding ticket haha

I just added you on Facebook, wasn't hard to find hehe Nice picture

The V1 does a great job, you'll love the arrows. it's saved me a couple times between my RSX and TL. one time, the V1 picked up a cop from over 1 miles away and over a hill too.

Love this question

OK let me make it short here, then we'll talk on the phone later.

Shit this is tough. OK

------------------------------------------------

MDX
So cheap, just like TL, add the fluid go, I am serious.
It's at 70k, just drove it today again, and I was telling mom at dinner, why the heck you want x5 for, car runs great.

BUT!!! Ours is 07 model, you know the one that new grille and etc, smoked tails and blah blah, that car goes much faster.

Aha this one

Had it for loan, no DVD, no side bars, God it was fast as hell

FX
Full of BS. I am serious, this car is like German cars, so many computers behind it. Dude brand new car, rpm goes up and down at idle ok, it's so minimal but a good drivers gets annoyed.
Dad takes it to dealer, they say no problem blah blah, then later on they find out that there was an update on throttle or something, so they had to update it. No idea how

Drive belt had to change around like 30 because it was making a noise or something I don't remember.

And services are so expensive, way more than MDX.
Would I take it to them? Idk, but dad just gives the car, he doesn't care.

I used to throw shit at it's winter traction on snow last year remember? Found that tires were 2 yrs old.
With the new tires this year, she did sooooo good. My dad was on the way to NYC when the big storm came here this year, he can't finish explaining how good it handles and how good that wide stance helped.

Exterior interior? Perfect, sexy, hot, pulls attention, sounds nice, amazing car. There is a reason why he is keep saying that he will trade it with the new FX, when even prototype is not out yet

QX60
Dads friend just got one, top top top model has everything.
Dad got in it but not me.
He said if you don't turn on the turn signals, you can't get off the lane on highway
Steering pushes you back in to your lane
IDK if you could turn that off
Has so many features, big car but still not really pulling attention outside and inside
Inside of the new MDX is much how do you say it..... fresh, more room to breath. You got it
Trunk on MDX is bigges too I think. I am talking about the new MDX

X5
You know, we drove it and was about to trade MDX but couldn't since they didn't have any x5s left. Sold out
Dude you don't hear shit on the road
They said that they were going to reduce the road noise, they did man
New navigation is soooo big lol and easy to use.

It's reasonable for us. Why?
Mom does 50,000 miles in 5 yrs
Well, that's with taking the MDX to every trip
BMW has 4yr/50k miles no service cost
That's why it's worth it, you pay nothing for 4yrs, after that trade the car, still a good BMW

And what really pulled our attention was the MPG
BMW and MDX new one, has the best MPG
F the rest, not even a small difference.

======================================

What else did you ask?

Think about tires too
There was like couple sets of tires on Tirerack for FX, I bought the best one, which was like 700 bucks
Because it wasn't the one that came OEM, car just didn't like it
Handling, noise, vibration everything just sucked.

You remember those days, tirerack then sent us a new set, still didn't work, and then AGAIN new set, their guy came and picked up the old 2 sets and blah blah, still same problems.
Then dad paid extra and bought oem ones Michelin, for $1100 something

MDX? Naaah she doesn't mind

MDX is the best for the price too, good gas, low service cost

Oh dad's friend was around NY this week. Came to Boston too.
He says the new X5 is $250,000 in Istanbul

That makes you say, naah it's cheap let's just buy it.

Merso S550, new one, $400,000, and his dad is getting it
His dad is a guy that buys Porsche 911 and sells it after a month because his back started to hurt.
People are crazy about cars there man

His small brother has a BMW Z4 new one, but that car is on the floor. I mean zero gap
But he drives an A5 1.8T lol and not happy with it. He said new Audi's reduced the quality, even for the ones for Turkey. Told you they send the best ones to us there. Uncle at Germany was telling that to me long time ago but now everyone knows.

Oh don't get a diesel car too. Well you prob won't but X5 diesel pulls attention being same price as the lowest model
It has 3 models, lowest is the one we are aiming for.
$59k
$67k
$69k

Looks like a poor town in Istanbul but car is good

What I hate about some of the people that mods the car there is... they love keeping the front too low and rear high

Ricers are everywhere in the world

Thanks Anil, can't stop now
One common love for all...S2K

damn....some nice cars there....

thanks for the tips Meeks...and WTF !!! doing 135 on 55 and with snow on the ground....you know there was a reason people were slowing down

well I like the MDX because its a platform I know...same engine...

I have been thinking of getting the older 3.5L ones and throwing a turbo in them bad boys...it will blow any X5 out of the water....

the fully loaded MDX was like 58K...fully loaded X5 was like 65K for the smaller engine and 75K for the bigger V8....

well lets talk more on the phone...we have been wanting to get an SUV but keep pushing it back LOL....so far its good...1 child seat and 2 big bums....but when either of our parents are in town, its gonna get tight....

I guess we will get the SUV when we are closer to the 2nd kid....Turbo-ed MDX for me AND Tesla S for the wifey with TL sitting on the side

Nothing Steven, Anil's just getting an Porsche Macan

Jesus Christ, he is the only person that I've know off that thinks about performance when it comes to a SUV
Hahaha leave it man

I know I will leave modding when I get married. But you don't
Since it's hard to mod those Germans
Yes go for MDX, same DNA as you know off.
Brand new one? IDK, our model looks good too

I am kind of against buying a brand new car. Too much money
Plus, you know how to take care of them

With 2 kids, SUV is ok, with 3,
Remember the new white Navigator? From summer vacations, trips
He is about to trade it with a new Oddesyeayayey... Honda van
3rd kid on the way, hard to deal with SUV when parents come over from home.
Wifey starts to hate dealing with high cars

Meko....I concur...Jeremy's pix are awesome....they have a great "pop" to them....no matter how much I try, I cant get that pop in my pix I might put a pepsi bottle next to my car next time...i will get all the pop I need LOL....

Steven, still in planning phase....you will be there when we buy the car....who else is gonna pay for it

Meeks, TESLA is definitely in our price range (in a few years)....they way I configured it, it was around 80-85K and the KS tax will give us $7500 back....but I will definitely not be getting the rear child seats...if you get rear ended, the kids will loose a leg or 2 LOL....dont want that....

also we gonna stop at 2 kids....unless the next go around we have twins...in which case I might sell one kid for a ferrari....

yeah I am not for buying brand new cars....I hate taking a depreciation value hit...for the MDX we might look for a 2-3 year old, ~40-50K miles or less...so it will still have some factory warranty (CPO) and as i get it, you know all the oils/engine/brake is getting serviced

POP

He takes lots of pictures idiyot, unlike youuuu!!!! I barely see you car, and then say... oh wait, his car actually looks good

I don't know what you do J. but it pays off well
Snow snow snow, with that TL and S2k, you should pray to not meet with Mr. Snow heehehe
I am keep f.ing my car

Sell one of them Anil
You'll make another one Russell Peter

True, didn't think about getting rear ended. Damn I am not ready to have kids for sure lol

MDX is a fun car but not for me. It's like, just for purpose.
I am not that guy you know it and nor you are
When you say SUV, this is what I would have fun with, even driving in summer

Why don't you get one of these?
I would when I get married or something but since I got FX on the way, can't

I remember when my dad brought home his friends big ass range rover one day. This was in Istanbul when I was a kid
I still remember the height of the suv and the felling it gave you when you sat in it
And one thing I don't forget as well is the engine sound of it

MDX is like a sedan car
I bet x5 too but I am sure it has some kind of different fun style. Even I liked the cabin being so quiet. Different car

What the..
I thought I replied

Not much of snow Steven.
Roads were open by the time it was morning
Didn't even had to use brush for the car Powder snow

3rd April fools this winter Mother nature
Sad thing is that I can not describe how bad it looks on the car.
Salt is ok, but when it's frozen with ice on the car? Man you don't want to see that, I am serious first time in 7 years I felt this sorry for my car and you know me, I don't take care of the exterior like you guys

Brother, you can HAVE all the snow.

This is not prime-time Corvette weather for me. That car needs to be out-stretching it's legs!

Hell, even if I didn't have the Stingray, I wouldn't be fond of this weather. Actually, we've been lucky so far here in KC. We've only had 3-1/2 inches of snow so far. It's just been very cold at times.

Hell, even if I didn't have the Stingray, I wouldn't be fond of this weather. Actually, we've been lucky so far here in KC. We've only had 3-1/2 inches of snow so far. It's just been very cold at times.
Feels like 0 here and that's during the day Don't want to check the weather right now
Yes yes enjoy the C7
I wonder if I bought S2k right before winter, would I drive it in snow? Yes I would
May be not

I actually just hard wired in the S2000 too to a visor clip...that way I can easily swap over to each car.

Glad you got it Meko, hope you enjoy it!

That big mess of black phone wire could certainly be replaced with a shorter wire. When I was installing mine way back when, the shorter wire I had was the wrong type of wire, but that super long one worked, so I just shoved the rest of the bundle up under the dash and forgot about it.

Look, Will !!

Or I'll drive to your house and make you do the stuff you did to your car to mine as well.
I'll be like, go to your thread, go to this and that page, install them to my car

What is it dammit
Bumper? Cleaning?
This time it's axle Actually I don't want that anymore since it only happens when it's cold
What else

That spot is too tiny, I don't want to play with it.
Kurt sent me the wires anyway, I will hard wire it BUT I didn't even remove the hard wire cable of Cobra, because no interest on opening those spots and dealing with wires in this cold weather.

Tested it today for 200 miles
I caught one and he was just cruising on the reverse bound.
No lights no sirens were on but it caught him, and from wayyyyy far away, plus when you put in the count of he was also driving 75mph on reverse bound too me..... it got him so early I love it

But did 200 miles full highway with 75% tank
Wonder why hahaha

Edit: Oh Oh what happened today,
I am driving on highway but like 135 mph or something and RPM is like high up 4th gear
I am about to pass from a rest area, gas blah blah on the side of highway.
My eyes went the rest area and I see people walking and turning heads to watch what's passing They were far far away too
I love this exhaust

Oh yeah I do KJ
It's so small to, stays so neat up there.

I read the manual too but I didn't get what that small adjustable know is for. One behind the big one that turns as well.

After I hit MUTE, it lowers the volume to where that second knob stays at?

MUTE button on the secondary screen or on the unit it self?

Yeaaah, don't matter, plus you sent a stripe to keep the extra wires together too

Thanks again Kurt. Glad that I got it on Friday
