There is a saying inTurkish.
Take my life if you want but be honest.
You know me well, as long as it is a nice and clean job between two, I don't mind.
Takes a second to understand a person's personality.
Enough with gay talk

What are we buying to you? Bmw 435 pleeeaase?

LOL...I'd probably make the drive for such a good deal.

Well, have you driven a fkn S2000 yet? Remember, you're making an emotional decision, and that should never be the driving force for such a large purchase.

Slow it down, kokonuts...the hunt for the next car is part of the fun

He is on the way right now

I got soo good deal on BRZ. There is another dealer with Black limited also. Could go and get a better deal too. Really tempting but you guys are making me stop.

Selling the TL for sure first of all. I want it gone and out of hand.

Then what?
Friends say go get a 428 but even with M pckg, thing goes upto 45k

Used S5? I dont want the old front end

What else?

Oh no, havent driven a S2k
I dont want S2k. Ill drive civic instead of paying 20k to those smartases

I thought you were pretty sure about the BRZ, whats making you change your mind?

I think having fun while driving is the most important thing. I love how my TL drives and cant imagine parting with it...how ever doesnt make sense that I have 2 seats in a 4 door car and makes it kinda unusable when I want to go out with the Saritha and Sid...its only for when I go out...hence I have thought of selling the TL or putting at least the rear seats back in...

this is the only time, you will be able to enjoy a 2 seat, 2 door car....down the line with getting married and having kids, you wont be able to attain OR even if you have a 2 seat car, you wont be able drive/enjoy it with the family....

Ok exactly what I needed to remind myself ^^^^

Idk people say its a slow car
Well the car has enough power if you ask me
Weight to ratio is same as MT TL in HP
Havent calculated the TQ

I said it, fast car but won't go high as v6 of course...

I want to expand the list but cant find any models better than picking up the BRZ

well ask yourself some questions...

do you want fixed roof? or convertible
will you sacrifice a little weight with more power?

you have many options 350/370z (higher weight but more power and also in convertible), used clean S2000 (we all know how fun to drive that is), FRS/BRZ

I think you will get the best value with the FRS/BRZ coz, you can get one for 22-25K AND it has warranty....a clean S2K, you are looking at 17-18K (so for 5K more, you are getting a 8 year newer with warranty car)....

the 370z looks and sounds awesome too, the convertibles look ugly though...

...just get the BRZ

We're playing the devil's advocate, but your responses tell me you already made up your mind. You just don't know it yet.

Hey, he works in instances in time...
but you can tell when he says he's unsure, we give him alternatives and then he comes back to defending the BRZ. I'm no professional shrink, but I can read the signs.

So Anil you saying BRZ is the best shot as well.

Only convertible I like is J's car
Thought about Z too but meh nothing is special as BRZ in the level of driving. Idk I just want it haha

True J. I guess haha I think I am trying to convince you guys on it too.

Exhaust is swaped.
His first comment "OMG shit is loud!"

They charged us too fucking much for the swap. 400bucks
I basicly made 350 lol anyways

Damn that last post of Jeremy!!!!!!
True hahahahahahahahah

My plan is to be calm and do zero small stupid mods to BRZ....none noneeeee
And save up for SC lol

Rip off is not the word. Mofo took 45 min and charge for 1.5 hrs. I HATE stealerships! From now on I will make sure they never eat from my wallet.

Re: the exhaust. Shit is loud and drone is the entire ride home... 3 hrs... Was the worst. Start up and cruising around town is tolerable, but hwy driving was torture... Kept telling myself "what did I do!"

Btw, thank you Meko. U r a stand up guy.

It was a good deal. if i had to do it again, i probably wouldn't have. too much of a hassle, but it was a fun experience. I did it on a limb, kinda like Meko is doing with purchasing a new car...
He is a great guy tho, very honest and stand up.

Imagine if i would have let him pay for the swap... he would have made a lousy $150!

Meko truly is a great guy. You want a guy like him on your corner lol.

the exhaust is my first mod. i had plans to do hfpc, j-pipe as well. But with all this drone, i am having second thoughts. my bro-inlaw had an m5 with an rpi exhaust-sounded sick. atlp reminds me of that except minus 300+ hp. I also didn't have to drive the m5 everyday, so i was able to enjoy it. TL is my families DD, i can't have that. hopefully getting new gaskets will resolve the majority of what i am experiencing. Else, imma have to slap a resonated on that biatch

LOL, actually, considering you were the one getting the full deal, I thought it was kind of him to even split the cost of the labor Normally it's on the purchaser to figure out swapping when the price is so low. Either way, you're probably only a vibrant resonator away from getting rid of the drone, Anil knows more about that though.

I'm sorry it wasn't totally bliss though...

Well i guess i missed that chapter on the unwritten rules of car part sales . That was his proposition, it was kind of him but i was totally against it. Just shows how much of an honest and genuine guy he is.

the install could have been much cheaper. but given the circumstances, it was what it was.

no apologies needed, with some tweaks the exhaust will be perfect.

LOL...I'm sure you'll be happy, I don't even want to share the mission I've been on to find nice tips for mine...at least you got the LOOK dead on. My advice would be if you're doing Jpipe or anything else, do that first to see if it helps...maybe increasing flow will move where the drone is heard in the rpm range and even maybe move it from being right under you in the driver seat.

Yeah, Meko is a cool dude...he cares more about the passion than the money.

PS, I'm sure a big part of why it cost so much is they had carte blanche with come on by and we'll handle it without anyone putting in writing how much first. Fkers...given the circumstance and the hours you drove, they knew you would never say DON'T do it...

but alas, it's just money. Fk it.

Exactly, at first they were like - its almost 4PM. First i was like, who turns business away! Second, they had a good half hr to knock it out instead of bitching its clock out time. i had no space but i would have shopped around the area, but i didn't know the area.

Agree - alas, its just money, fk it; what is done is done.

So Meko - what car are you getting!! LOL

^ I am surprised that, ^that comment came so late from Jeremy

You guys make me
I wanted to be fair, and put in charge of him driving all the way from NYC

I still don't have the TL
First time I drove fast and crazy this long. Did 42 miles in 25 minutes after work yesterday in rush hour to pick up the car.
Of course entering to Boston on Fridays is just not possible. Stopped at traffic.

Did make it, but the guy was closing the gate and I just drove in
He is like wtf

Will go and get the car now.
I hope it won't feel like I am driving the TSX, quiet as hell
I still have hope because of the cats but let's see.

Guy didn't call me to meet, I didn't call him too.
His mechanic was going to check the car today but, we'll see..
Gotta take off the radar detector to

-------------------

Bro as I said, get the front two gaskets replaced and see.... if they really said they messed up the gasket.

JnC had the stock cats on the car, said it was perfect.
I removed the 3rd cat when installing the ATLP, drone was there like crazy.
After that it really reduced (thanked JnC for not letting me throw that vibrant resonator there)

After getting the HFPC, drone really really reduced, which is what I was expecting.
Friends told me the same thing too, even they noticed it. Not a car freaks.

And lately, now I say how come it's f.ing crazy loud outside and so quiet inside.
And we are in winter. After you heat up the exhaust, you even notice how quiet the drone gets.
Summer will be perfect.

DON'T add resonator

LOVE YOU GUYS :gheyhug:

I guess that's what will happen Steven
BRZ

I mean yes I really want it guys, will happen.
I started to see BRZ since 2 days, never used to see them before
That's a sign hahaha they really look great on the road

Nissan fast but fat and 2 seats and expensive to mod and low MPG
Meh no excuse, just want BRZ

TSX is a really nice design too. Sits perfect
But just not fun to drive, slow

CBP, I agree with Jeremy on all counts and hence asked what mods you were planning. Remember that jpipe and cats change the flow and hence the sound of the exhaust. I suggest living with the drone until you figure out the mods...

Get the hfc and jpipe, then add a resonator to quiet it down/shut the drone up....I again give Jeremy a +1 on the choice of resonator, that is Vibrant
