Tein Flex and Advan RS II. 18x9 +45. 235/40/18 Pilot Sport 3.
Guy who had them had the michelin painted white and failed miserably in removing in as its still all brown, any ideas on how to clean that up? just pump the tire shine to it? lol
Maybe it's the pictures but I'm almost positive those are RZ and not RSII. RSII are evenly spaced AND have these grooves carved into the sides of the spokes.
Either way, they look great!
I'd say take a sharpee to the raised letters...or try something not too aggressive like mineral spirits...or get some black sneaker dye.
^yup you're right j. They are indeed RZ. I looked at them more closely today and concluded they are not the RS2. They are very similar tho eh? Like you said, either way, they are a nice wheel and they cleaned up very nicely after I spent some time on them.
I took wax and grease remover to the sidewalls and it took all the crap off and they look mint now
Yes sir, they are awesome, Jeff. Congrats again, man!
Let's see some high res pics of them cleaned up in good lighting sucka!
Looks like the factory gunmetal finish too...you can't beat it, that's the best.
VERY similar...I actually don't like the RSII...the grooves cut in look too busy to me.
LOVE yours...I personally like the look of the evenly spaced 10 spokes...but for that deal, I'd have been able to love the split 5 spoke too (like the Tc105N too)
Thnx man! Yup they are original finish, I'm just in the in the middle of touching up all the little nicks here and there on them but theyre in incredible condition.
That acura anthracite metallic touch up pen works wonders on these gunmetal wheels for small areas
Heres a pic of one cleaned up, the lighting in my apt is shit so the pics in here dont come out that great lol. Once the weather warms up a little more ill bring em out on my deck and clean the inner barrels

Wow, crazy good condition, man...love it.
Congrats again.
Yep...I found that that gunmetal honda or am acura touch up are a perfect match!
Mine have that finish on the TL, but not the ones on the S, obviously since I had them PC'd. I love that color...previous owner of mine machined the double outer lip, which I dig.
doing the small touch ups today as I only had a half day of classes and they are looking good so far....
I can't afford to keep the Type-S wheels too so ill be selling that setup come spring. I will def miss those wheels, theres something about them that work really really well with the TL.
I agree, I'm also waiting for spring to install my wheels. Hoping for March to be nice enough to put them on though.
I know the winter tire laws in Canada start in Dec but do they end as late as April/May?
Err I'm not sure about New Brunswick but for us in Ontario winter tires aren't mandatory. For that matter its 14 degrees celcius here today and I seriously wish I had finished my Advans earlier because I could be driving on my Conti Extremes right now lol...

I think you found the perfect wheel to fill the hole those type-s waffles will leave. They are very similar but at the same time much more sporty and an upgrade to both performance and looks.

Ahh ok I assumed it was all of Canada lol. That's a nice day for February, I don't think its that warm here in MD

Yea its been super mild here this winter. today is like +8 and its february haha
Ok nice. Are you able to install the coilovers while its in storage or is it gonna be a busy Spring?

Thanks for straightening that out for me, like I said I was under the assumption all of Canada required them
@jon. Yes I think they are the perfect wheel for me, although I also like the AG M310 but I think the Advans are a much better wheel. These things are super light even with the tires mounted.
And yes Quebec is a bit strange in regards to vehicle laws... But in Alberta and BC you dont even need a provincial inspection if my memory serves me correctly. I think thats pretty fucked up.
@teggymike. The guy who owns the warehouse says to working on cars in his warehouse, as there are multiple corvettes, mustangs, BMW, Benz, etc parked in there so I can totally understand where he's coming from on that front. So yes Spring and Summer will be busy in regards to installations and fine tuning! But I'm excited for it
Quebec has some stupidly draconian road laws. Absolutely 0 tint, absolutely no "stance", any kind of tail-light tint and you get a ticket, etc.
Wow that sucks. Seems like they actually enforce it too then? Here in MD I have no front license plate and 20% tint both of which are illegal here but never had a problem even with getting pulled over a couple times.
there's an icon 3rd from the right that has a little paper symbol and a green box with a plus sign. you click that for each convo you are quoting and on the last one you hit the "quote" button. it puts all into your response box

That's a good busy though, should be a lot of fun!
Seems like too much work to do it legally, I'd rather run the risk of getting a small fine lol
They look similar to me. Not strikingly so. But similar.
Same color
Both 10 spokes
Both "split" 5 spoke design
To me you could take the waffles and pull the hub in tighter around the lug nut holes which would make the advans.
You don't see it?
