Oh Sickest TL's '06 Royal Blue Pearl
Coming from a 2002 TL type s which had its issues and over 310km on er.
I recently picked this 2006 Acura TL up for 8k 200,000km on it.
Was bone stock except for A-spec kit!
Put a injen intake in it. Love the sound it gave it! Bought the Type s rims brand new. Loving that look the rims are AWESOME. VHT sprayed the rear tails and side markers.
Will post another pic soon of painted engine bay. That ugly black plastic needed to painted!
Putting on brembo rotors and pads soon along with NGK plugs. Going to really consider the type s front sway paired with the progress rear sway.
Let me know what you guys think! Thanks

Wow I don't ever recall seeing a TL in that color. Looks really nice, good pickup

Nicely done!
I would put the tails back to stock; you don't want your car to look like a big bruise going down the road

Update! Painted engine bay. Nothing too crazy just a quick DIY job. The lines were kinda tricky for me. Not a direct match to my RBP its a diff shade of blue but I don't mind
Going to focus on suspension (coilovers) and exhaust for next upgrades

not feeling the VHT sprayed tails, but the rest looks great!
consider extending the exhaust tips out 2 inches...will look great being more flush

Your car looks great.
As far as the taillights go, the 3G has a very unique taillight that can be customized to pretty much anything you would want. Why cover it up with nightshades?

^^ yea lol , whatever they decide to call it, its really nice either way
Cant wait for april to come around to get this exhaust on! got full brake package ready to go on. Brembo rotors and pads, bought new stock calipers and powder coated them red! bought blue interior LEDS, license plate LEDS, 5500K HID headlight bulbs.
Before I put it away I noticed my front sway bar had a minor fracture in it, so bought new sway bar along with end links and bushings and all the misc hardware.
Got all new emblems for the rear and the front "A" going to black chrome those and see how that looks.
Next up is progress rear sway and going to do full timing belt job along with the xlr8 lightweight crank pully. After that it'll be coil overs then just misc cosmetic stuff like replacing tails and markers, them rdx caliper covers maybe.

Nice TL dude, love the color
Did you add that tab yourself between the two pipes, or did it come that way? Curious because I had rasp with this system after doing the HFPCs and discussed the possibility of a tab to try and tone it down, but never actually tried it. The two pipes were touching on mine so I thought maybe some of the raspiness was actually a rattle between the pipes.
You shoulda got a type s front sway bar. Goes great with the progress rear.

Thanks steven!
@ Family Guy, thanks! that is how the j pipe came. Manufacture date of sept 2014 I believe.
And the type s front bar I was going to get but did some reading and need to do some modifications so I dunno I wanted to keep things as easy as possible.

Looks good, like everyone said if you went to some sort of custom tail light setup like the one posted above that would look killer on your car. Other than that I cant say im a fan of painted engine covers as it just cheapens the look...IMO anyway.
As for the wheels there are some touchup paints that match the OEm Type S gray finish pretty closely that will help cover that up.

@JTS, those are MY taillights I just got from bruce so those will be installed come spring and yes they should look killer!
Engine covers.. meh, i think it looks okay I def fucked up doing the lines tho lol, was more a less just something to try out. Can always take them right out.
Wheels... I have the anthracite metallic touch up paint but I have the dark batch of OEM S wheels so its not looking to be a great match, I honestly just want to get them powder coated as I've heard great things!
