I don't mean the engine covers I had those painted and they turned out real tacky so I don't rock them anymore. Im talking about valve covers.

Family Guys engine bay is my inspiration LOL, that is clean as fuck

I know what you meant.
I was referring to a loud color you might outgrow that isn't easy to take off and expensive to get PC'd.

to each their own but remember, Ivo's engine bay looks good because he used very neutral colors.

He said 150 for the valve covers , 50 for the top plate and 50 for the strut bar (mine is rusting on one side) so 250 for the works isn't bad at all IMO. Leaving the 3.7 mani alone

Yea I checked out his bay after your comment sickest... His bay looks nice but really it looks stock because he choose very simple, near oem type colors.

My bay is entirely NBP. Looks svelte af

LOL I was about to comment and say "Holy shit what is that a 6" intake?"

Then I thought...wait a minute...that kinda reminds me of Anal's car.

Then I scrolled further and saw the swoosh watermark. LOL

Ahh, good times.

Edit: BTW our bay does not look sexy without a cowl.. just my two cents.

^ yes thats the other option I was considering. I just don't want too much blue going on as my car is already blue and it would end up being a diff shade of blue and might look weird

do you mean the front plastic piece? was thinking of getting that piece colour matched to my paint. I currently have All engine covers removed and without that front piece it looks really bad lol

I wouldn't do that. It'd look weird IMO. If anything I would paint it black and then put a satin clear over it. You want the eye to stop when the hood does.

Edit: Yea see Family's looks good because if you've been in the Honda game for any amount of time you're used to seeing that color/finish on all the red tops. The rest could pass as OEM.

Why did he go braille? Just weight savings? Seems like a waste without any other true purpose...

Chad, you have me blocked too?
That's exactly the same reason I said Ivo's (FG) engine bay looks great!

Anyway...I concur, if you're hellbent on doing it, I look forward to the outcome. I do still feel like the $250 could be better spent elsewhere though. Stock with all the nicely treated covers looks fantastic. If it's corroded, sand and paint with high temp yourself...it'll be cheap and you can change it whenever. Shoot, if you want it to look different you can just do the top plate that unbolts (do all 3G have that?)

and yes, his braille gave him troubles so they replaced it and he was selling one.

If I cared about weight savings I'd probably start by shedding some of the carbs I eat...

well the install went good. was a little bit harder then I thought it was going to be lol. had to relocate the horn to get bumper back on and didnt think to test it prior to putting bumper on and it doesn't work lol. finding a spot to mount the HID ballast for the fogs on the pinger side was a bit challenging, and the I jam toy LED DRL harness was confusing as shit but all went good and no scratches on the car LOL. She's filthy after a tough days work

yup I agree. Instead us owners have to compromise and do some crazy ass retrofit lol

And in my opinion they flow with the headlights very well, I like them a lot more than the circular 07-08 fogs and the retrofitted accord fogs as well

They match the headlight shape perfectly...
I had accords...once I helped Austin do his inspires, I knew I'd order a pair too. Haven't looked back either.

Funny how everyone differs. I think the round looks much better than the 'headlight' shaped Inspires. Lol

And no not blocked J.

I take you at face value. Others not so much. You'll always be safe.

And yea it's good to have options. And I'm sure the Inspires are easier to install. Cutting the accord housings was a PITA.
