I meant I wasnt reading
LOL @ painting the parking spot! I do my work in my garage but Im not the one who typically gets the garage so the room mate is stuck in the driveway when my car is stuck on stands. Typically though I do any real work at my buddy Marc's house as he is a mechanic for Mercedes so he has a ton of tools I dont want to make him bring to my house as its awesome he's lending them to me in the first place.
I have once had to leave my car there on stands when my axle kept popping out while installing my springs. His gf was not thrilled.

Nobody cares about being wrong, if we actually WERE wrong, no problem. But boy do you have a hard time swallowing that maybe you are.
This is the gold I thought...wanna call it fuscia? Or maybe Taint? I don't give a fuck but what you posted is not gold on this planet.
Small man syndrome, I tell you...
thanks for the tips..i think i'll redo it this weekend when i do the brakes. did you take off or sand your previous decal, or did you just paint over it? i'm thinking i can get most off and then just paint another coat over (or do i want to sand it all again)?
my only problem is that i really can't have my car up on stands for 2 days because i do all my car work in a parking spot in the back of an apartment complex HAHA
the first time i did it, i did it in my specific parking spot and got blue all over the ground...BUT luckily they repaved a week later so there's no trace haha. this time i'll move to a guest spot
sorry for thread jack OP

Sand the whole motherfucker with 400 grit...wipe it down with water/ipa...then dry paper towel make sure it's DRY! Then apply your base color, won't need much since it's going over your previous one...you can probably do 1 or 2 coats...wait 50 minutes after the last coat, apply your decal...then apply your clear repeatedly. Done...
in a way, if you don't burn through the base color upon decal removal/sanding, you can just put your new decal and re-clear.

I google search Gold Brembo and that came up. So if its not gold my bad. Google said so.
After you said something I went back and looked and the people that made the wheels where the ones who posted the GTR and they said flat out in the post that they painted the hardware to match the brembo gold.
I further searched and while the GTR brembos look a tad darker they still, to me, look like the same gold.
http://www.gotitrex.com.au/home/imag...s/brembos1.jpg
http://tmck.weebly.com/uploads/4/3/6...481555?7425242
The gold you posted is the same gold on the GTR.
Same color. The darker alloys and better edited in the GTR pic is throwing it off but its the same color IMO.
If not and if that can be proven I have no issue admitting I am wrong. To me it looks the same and the poster said it is "brembo gold" so thats where I came to my conclusion.
Whats this about little man syndrome? Was that at all needed or are you just antagonizing?

I have nothing left to say on the matter unless I can be proven wrong.
Edit: Because whats the point. Im done.
Why dont you leave the calipers KBP? Are the two blues that off? Maybe just go black or a nice gunmetal.
Gunmetal with a nice white lettering would be nice.

you were proven wrong...that's not gold.
I didn't say the website you chose to link to doesn't call it or not call it that.
But why are they a more credible source than your own two eyes or the guys you chat with on here.
And yes Kinetic Blue Pearl and Abyss Blue Pearl are worlds apart, color wise...although I too would be curious to see how they look before you remove the finish!
Just got off the phone with Mr. Brembo. He agreed with me. He says that's a burnt copper.
There, Jon. Satisfied?

from what i know about editing is that small adjustments can throw off how it looks in person.
the GTR shot is quite a professional shot, probably taken during the golden hour while the 350z shot is in broad daylight in direct sunlight, taken with a cell phone and unedited.
just throwing it out there, they could be different, they could be same.

Handled it...
You don't want to start playing that game with me, boy.
Thanh, right you may be. I wasn't really trying to debate any of this...but it pokes the bear (repeatedly, in every fucking thread...and makes little snide comments if I venture into ILX threads then comes and whines in a TL thread)...it puts the lotion on the skin.
Anyway...point was...edited or not, that doesn't LOOK like gold TO ME. There Jon, you can sleep tonight.
Jeff, sorry for the derail...
Let's get back to picking a caliper color for you.
Silver popped!

lol I got a kick out of the I just called Mr Brembo comment. No problem guys I appreciate everyone coming in here to look at my car and talk and what not!
Jon, visors wont be installed until spring. Its winter here mang, car is put away. If I were to leave the calipers KBP it just wouldnt look right at all IMO.
Jay, the car is Royal Blue not Abyss but in any event KBP is certainly a different blue than those tones.
Man I dig the silver, I really do, but I dont think it'll pop behind the waffles , which like I said if my gf and I end up getting a house next summer ill have the waffles on the TL for a little bit for sure. At least until the tires are shot which will be a while as its a strictly spring/summer car.
I guess I'm just trying to learn from my mistakes with the red, I def jumped the gun on doing that, at the time I didnt even know there was such a thing as RL BBK swap haha.
Im trying to picture the white and all I can see is great things! Lol.
What you think of white with a blue pearl in it? Or just go flat honda champ white?
white?

White works!
Powder powder powder
Can't wait!
Why did you get a kick out of that comment? He won't take your calls? I have his personal office line # if you need it.

The only thing I'll say is be cautious with aluminum lug nuts...it's crazy how much trouble you can run into if your threading on your studs isn't perfect. I bought a thread chaser for this reason and run it before putting them on every time.

Steel is nice but hardly ever comes in cool colors. Yoy can typically fimd steel buddyclubs in like black, chrome, maybe bronze.

Dude, that's why that electronic brown something or other torque wrench freaked me the fuck out. Set it, then it beeps, then it doesn't beep...like, you motherfucker i know i'm hitting this thing with more than 80!!!
Anyway, with my teal work lugs...I stripped 4 of them, 2 on each front wheel...I did them by hand, but originally put on with a long 1/2" socket breaker bar...felt like I was putting no force and it ripped them right on. Went to remove, just spin and spin and spin. Never had that issue again after having to get them drilled off...but it was enough to make me VERY leery. I do run those orange NRG but again, I chase and then add this teflon dry lube on every single stud before putting them on and still have oh shit moments.
Jon...that's why I've been so hellbent on the mu lugs...7 sided, nice and small, steel...pop of teal. Actually, I also have this gold set that's a knockoff of them from China...decent quality but the gold looks more like rose gold so it doesn't match. more companies should knock off this style of lug!
