Cool. I meant more looking through the pipe. Any chambers or rifling to it? I know the mid muff was straight through, just with perforated pipe, like a "turbo" style muffler. I have a Magnaflow resonator camping in the garage, but liked the way Jpipe, cat delete, mid muffler removed (Stage 1?) sounded, and didnt want to mess with it further.
That was my original setup was as well. RV6 V3 Jpipe (this pipe deletes the 3rd cat) and mid muffler delete. The sound is very suttle, but I wanted a little bit more. Messed up and went with the 12" dynomax resonator which added a lot of tone, but rasp as well. So I took out that resonator and put in the 18" dynomax resonator I have now, and perfection. If you check my progress thread I have some videos posted in there of what it sounds like in case you do ever go that route.

BIG difference...jpipe and hfpc with the 12" resonator or the magnaflow was raspy death. at least for me.
Stage 3 with this longer pipe is the ticket...
If you're going to Stage 3 with no other upgrades, then you can get by with the shorter one...but why bother...get the right one to begin with.

^^ I agree. I would like to hear a comparison in person between the magnaflow resonator used in stage 2 and the dynomax resonator John and I have installed to see if there is a big difference between the brands.

Thanks Veggie thats what I was asking!
Yep that is exactly what I have now, Rv6v3 and mid muff delete. I will go find your thread, sounds like what Im looking for. Mine sounds awesome, but only from 2-3k, and you have to be on it, and having the auto, that doesnt last long before it up shifts. Bwah first world problems.
Nah sorry I don't have any pics looking straight through it, but it's basically the way the dynomax looks. You can just see the mesh in the resonating chamber and yes it is a straight through design.

Hi, a little off topic but I was looking into buying the same LED lights you have for the inside of your car.
I found the license plate holder LEDs but I cannot find your 194_5_SMT_W_6K
I Found -194_5_3C_W_6K (a 3chip?)
http://www.v-leds.com/6K-WHITE-3-CHI...-p9594388.html
I read the tutorial FAQ about brightness but none of the LEDs I saw read SMT or SMT-M...
Do you know if these 3chip bulbs would be just as good as your SMT bulbs?
By the way, your car looks amazing. If I had the cash, I would mimic your look. My next mod after I finish the lights would be a black roof wrap or your switchbacks.

Thanks, I would get these: http://www.v-leds.com/6K-WHITE-4-LED...87987-1-2.html
Thanks! FYI, you don't need a 360-style LED because there is no reflector in the license plate bulb socket, so having side-emitting LED's is pointless. You just need them the shine straight down. The ones I have look identical to the link I just posted, but mine only have ONE LED at the tip. Even with one LED, mine are super bright, so the ones above will probably be crazy bright. Plus the built-in heat sink is a nice touch.

Just read the entire thread. You've done a marvelous job on your TL. One of the cleanest I've seen. I agree with members saying your winter setup smashes on most summer setups. I can't wait for future updates. I love the puddle lights idea.

So getting these plastic covers attached to the calipers is a pain in the ass. The actual area where the cover makes contact with the caliper is literally about 1/4" wide by 1/2" long....AND you can only secure it on the left edge of the cover, so even if you were to get the JB Weld to hold, if you applied enough pressure to the other edge, it would likely just pop off completely. So I bought some "hanger tape" from Lowe's and made a custom bracket that attaches to the inner "piston" area of the cover and then attaches to the OEM caliper. The hanger tape is meant to hang ventilation ducts in houses, but it's cheap, strong and flexible, so it's pretty versatile. So far, the covers seem very secure (famous last words hehe).

Just quoting this so I don't lose this info. Planning on hopefully putting mine on this weekend.
