I feel pretty strongly about the stickers on a car, but it doesn't look TOO badly with white on white. I just like plain jane no stickers on the car (especially since you take so much time to make it look simple and aggressive and clean looking).
About the wheels...honestly, it's not THAT bad and last time I swapped, I ended up swapping back cause I missed how the car LOOKS with 19's. lol.

Do it.
I hear you on that. I can't wait to get my wheels back but I know I'll be swerving around potholes and curbs just trying to make sure I don't scratch them up.
How do you like those V12s?
I feel the same way. I never thought I would put stickers on my car, I don't even have the "required" school sticker on there lulz, but I like the Acurazine ones. Simple yet effective.
I noticed the same thing. I bought my car with a-spec wheels already on it, then went to staggered 19's, which are sitting in my office right now . I bought a set of stockies and I love them. Definitely lighter than 19's, and a lot less bumpy. Now I don't have to have to sit on the edge of me seat, staring at every imperfection in the road, wondering which one of them will be the death of my rim...well at least not as much Even bought a new set of 255/40/17 Hankook V12's for them Giggidy

And thank you sir! I'll be deuce-deuce so nothing exciting really. I'll be going out to dinner with my parents and my girlfriend and that's about it!
Back on-topic, I'll be contacting my wheel guy on Monday and seeing what the status of my wheels are. I DO plan on doing a shoot with the stockies on but I'm not sure when that will happen.
I would like to rant for a second though. I lost my WDP paint pen so I called my local (dipshit) Acura dealership to see if they had one in stock. He said they were all out of WDP and would order one for me. He told me that they changed how the paint pens work though. You have one pen/bottle for the base coat of paint and then another pen/bottle for the pearl, therefore you have to buy both. The cost you ask? $24 + tax. What an effing rip off. I'll be destroying my room and garage tomorrow to find my original paint bottle.

And really? When's your birthday? And I wouldn't consider myself lucky; I'm still in school, have a part time job, car isn't paid off, and still living at home. Does that make you feel better?
Good to know! I'm considering throwing some sticky tires on the A-Specs and then putting some all-season or winter tires on stockies that I plan to purchase.

This Friday!
Ummm...I'm getting gray hair, am upside down 100K on my home, do have a good job, and often find myself saying "remember the good old days" and people are starting to call me "sir". Lower back hurts for the first 2 hours of every day.
NOPE, don't feel better.
I would NOT like to have to relearn all of life's lessons...but 22 is the PERFECT age!

I'm 22, and I've already got back and knee issues I keep a cane between my driver seat and door at all times. My "good old days" were back in the early childhood, before I knew the definition of stress. 22 is the best age to make the funnest mistakes you'll ever make

I guess I'm just ready to grow up. Referring to our house discussion a few pages back, I'm ready to get a place of my own. House, townhome, apartment, whatever.
It's okay buddy

How well you know yourself, and what you love (ie hobbies, friends, sig. other) really are what define the term "growing up". Owning a house, is just a false sense of security.
THAT said, I'm just bitter because I'm not in a good situation...I'm sure landing my dream house at a reasonable cost right now would put me in a different frame of mind.
Anyway, back on topic...what's the dilly with them there Aspecs?

I didn't get around to contacting my wheel guy today but I will tomorrow. I have other priorities though, like sleeping
Ugh, don't remind me of other shit that still needs to be done.
Looking back at it, I should have gotten the black stickers so they flow with the tint and don't stick out as much as they do. BUT like I said above, live and learn. I'll donate again this year to a good cause and get a set of black stickers out of it

Like the sticker placement man...I put one on the driver's side small window. Just one for now, I like how it looks that way. Got the dark silver ones, they look good IMO. Waiting to see those aspecs, they're gonna be tight!

I understand what you're trying to say! I'm the same way quite a bit. I'm not really angry about something but I'm so used to being that way that I act like I am.
Anyways I'll be getting the wheels between 12 and 1. I've just gotta decide if I want to eat first or not

You'd be surprised how much snow we got this year. But overall, yes, we don't get too much snow.
Haha sorry man! I tried!

Thanks Aaron!
Spank you sir
Soooooooooooooooooo I didn't get the wheels today
I went to the place and saw them. I LOVE the color but they are more of a matte than a gloss. Also they are closer to the original gunmetal color than the Type-S color. My guy is going to bake them again using a high gloss to make them more shiny and it should also make the color a bit darker than it currently is. I'll have the wheels back tomorrow after class. They aren't exactly what I was shooting for but they are a helluva lot better than what they were before. Nothing is perfect in life

Brother, you are probably paying GOOD money for them...so make sure you are HAPPY with them!
Hey, if they end up being lighter...get yourself the correct color center caps. NOT knocking the Type S color...BUT, something about the 04 Aspec wheel color...when clean it's just visually tantalizing for some reason.
Anyway, you'll be anticipating disappointment tomorrow so when you go back and they are GLOSSY you'll be happy...Plus, if they're close to the original color...people won't think you took a spray paint can to your nice wheels
PS...Happy Le Birthday! AND BTW...since the black roof has become so popular with ALL WDP and SSM TL's...it's now considered a mod to leave that motherfuqer WHITE!

Thank you sir!
I got this e-mail earlier today:
Awwwwwwwww
Thank you sir! I was pretty disappointed when I left the shop without the wheels, actually I was furious, but it's all good! Like you said, I want them to be done correctly and to my liking. I don't want to have to "put up" with wheels that I'm not happy about.
I only have 2 of the original Gunmetal centercaps but they are already in the car to bring to the shop tomorrow. Sadly I have class from 9-2 so I won't be getting there until 2:30 or 3. Both my girlfriend and I think the original centercaps are closer to the color of the wheels than the Type-S centercaps. We shall see tomorrow!
I got this e-mail earlier today:
Hey CLtotheTL32,
All of us over at AcuraZine are just taking a minute to wish you a very Happy Birthday!
However you celebrate, be sure to have fun and drive safe!
Your friends,
Robb, and the AcuraZine Team

Oh and about the black roof, I want it, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I'm going to wait until I get an aftermarket set of wheels to get the black roof. Those Works would look good on my car

And thanks
I can't lie, I like the whole craze with different colored wheels. If I were to get a set of Works I would go for a color like this:
But to make that happen I need money and that's one thing I don't have much of. Ugh.
The black roof will happen but since I'm on OEM wheels, I sorta think it will look out of place. Not sure though.
I ordered that stupid paint pen from the local stealership and I'll be picking that up this afternoon. I really don't feel like paying almost $30 for some damn touch up paint but I can't look at the scrape on my front bumper anymore. I wish my dumbass wouldn't have lost my first paint pen. Knowing my luck, I'll find it as soon as I use the new one.
The A-Specs will be in my possession around 2:30 this afternoon. I wish spring break didn't end yesterday

So after you pay this rediclous amount at your local Acura dealership...
You take possession of this wonderful box which has this sticker on the top...
Inside of the box are these paint pens...
As you can see, one pen is the base coat and the other pen contains the "pearl" part of WDP. Remember what my lip looked like a few pages back after I scraped it against a water drain-off thing? Here's what it looks like now WITHOUT the pearl top-coat...
Looks much better I think! Well worth $24
