Sorry, but the only differences I can see between this and the 04-06 TL-S 6spd are the additional crank sensor in pic 1 and the shift linkage attachement point on the large select lever in the last pic , if you look you will see another hole in the arm, this is where the attachment pin would go for a 3rd gen TL or 7th gen AV6. Both tranny shafts are just as hollow as the 3rd gen TL and the gears, ect do not seem to be of any better materials or hardening.
hmmm, interesting paul. so no differences with the shafts whatsoever?

^ this i found out the hard way once we put everything back in. all my gears were reversed LOL. the one thing that puzzles me, is why the heck would they reverse if for the later models?? that counterweight on the end is there to help throw the shifter around easier, since its weighted. i noticed a huge difference in shifing once we located the pin of the same side :/

On some of the old bodybuilding/power lifting forums there was a guy that went by the name "bert." since early high school, all of my friends called me bert since its part of my last name. When I tried to register to all these forums back in the day (maybe 1999 lol) I couldnt make my user name to be just bert. So I figured since I live on long island, "li", ill make my name libert. the 69 is just because im sexual deviant

talk about off topic lol

Was any comparisons done on the dyno with the spacer vs no spacer? Just curious.

no. It was a fitment issue from yesterday that mades us realize that the pipe running from the TB is too short if you do not have a TB spacer. We were just trying to come up with a time frame of how long it takes the kit to be fully installed and running. The TB spacer is only about and inch in thickness, so a longer coupler will be the solution.

I just heard from Rodney. They are modifying the downpipe to make the clutch change easier. I was told that HiSpeed should be getting tracking numbers by Friday and mine early next week.

I also asked about the boost control and they are just using the wastegate to control the boost.

I just realized that you were the TypeS donor.

Rodney gave me the status on the progress there but asked I keep it on the DL. Seems there is a lot of work they are doing with the TypeS that may not be possible with the base TL.

Well Rodney got a few things done while we had the Type S for an extended amount of time... the kit was bolted to Xiomaro's car to see if everything bolted up fine on another TL and also because it was a Type S. Rodney will more than likely give a detailed update on the differences for the Type S.

We took advantage of installing a kit on the type S , while our car is down , everything worked well, the base kit will work on types with a few adjustments , and of course after learning a lot about the jseries from doing the base kit tuning went without a problem purely in part to our experience with base model.... Only mods are full catback exhaust..

We dynoed first at p2r dyno which the car made 333 whp and 350 lb tq , which was @ 4.5psi but we knew there was a problem because during the runs boost would not hold kept falling off ... We did what we could but of cousre time was a factor so we packed up and decided to go again next day .....
We went to Aljaps first pull was 323 whp , second was 311 whp uhhhhhhh!!!!!!! . Yep that's when we started checking and found culprit to be loosened bolt around wastegate , so after tightening up bolt double check couplings it all came together running of the wastegate spring which is what we've been tuning on , motor came alinve with 384 whp & 364 lb tq boost gauge recorded a peak of 5.75 psi , Silva types has a few small videos to post ....

turboed reliably, and tuned correctly using fi/c the 7th gen has not been done yet, however that 6th gen looks amazing. a 7th gen twin turbo setup was done by a member of v6net named sunnycali, originally located in california, he made the first twin turbo charged 7th gen. However due to some difficulties in engine managment, he wasn't able to make more than 300whp @ 5psi. his car was a show car and recently was featured in a car magazine where they inflated his hp numbers to 400hp .

this is the thread where he says he explain his feature and real hp #--> http://www..net/forums/showthread.php?t=200425

I liked how the magazine said an "estimated 400whp". Then the owner of the car admitted the mag lied and he told them it made 300whp. Then one of the posters defends this because "properly tuned it should make 400hp". Wow. I have my built engine on the stand right now. It should make around 800rwhp. I need to change my signature to "estimated 800rwhp" because it has the potential to make that once I install the new engine. Some of those guys amaze me.
