OK....took me two days there....you mean the THEAD about it....not the THREAT about it....got me thinking somebody had threatened something there....Whew! OK....now that I figured that out....thats a great read...thanks for the link. As for the warrantee....I see what you are saying there....but we are gonna have to assume the guy can weld or I wouldnt have put a deposit down in the first place? You do bring about a good point though....

i'm taking out the supercharger.. it is the fuel pressure regulator. after driving in your car, i decided to save the money and just get the header setup.. it's plenty fast with that, without the risks of the charger..

HT did a dyno of a stock 6sp TL and they pulled it 3 times and came up with a baseline of 215hp and 194 lb-ft. The bolted on a injen intake, comptech exhaust and a sun voltage and ground system. After all that they said it pulled consistant pulls in the high 230's and topped out with a pull at 245hp....lets say the voltage and ground sys made 5hp then it brings it down to 240hp...Nitro made 261hp...thats a gain of 21hp...

Im not sayingg everyone is going to get 21HP, every car responds differantly, some of us will see higher gains than others, but after stumbling across this article again im sold on the cat and am puttin my deposit tomorrow...Another thing to look at is differant dynos and settings will give out differant readings...but i hope this loosens some of us up alittle bit and i know this made it easier for me to pull the trigger on this mod.

ONLY compare the same car on the same dyno settings on the same day. Nitro's car baselined at 235whp to begin with (w/ catback). like i mentioned before, diff. humidity, temp, drum/dyno settings, dyno brands, tires, wheels, even BBK etc etc. will give HUGE differences. it can only be viewed as references for mods you did that day. no value at all to compare different cars on different dynojets across country or what not unless you just want a result that fit your thoughts.

I understand to compare the same car on the same day but no one else was doing that...u guyz were comparing other peoples dyno run with nitros run...obviosly not on the same dyno....i DID say every car will react differantly than others...this was merely a way to help ppl put numbers into perspective...i helped me and besides a 1000 isnt that much....i'll be happy if i get 10-15 out of a "header" system.....i do know differant dynos will produce differant results...i dynoed my boosted civic at one dyno and i put down 535.3 whp and another i put down 575whp...

hey it's not a knock to your tuning ability or what not but you did compare other people's 240 result with nitro's 261 final. that's a no no.

you can use the differential value to estimate based on a new baseline, for example,

car1 + dyno1 from 200 to 220 before/after

therefore same mods roughly speaking on a similar car you should "roughly" get

car2 + dyno2 from 210 to 230 before/after

although dyno results are different, you can "roughly" say this mod produces "about" 20whp. just a reference/estimate.

now if you compare, in this case, 220 ( dyno1 after) and 230 (dyno2) + another mod = 250 and concluded that 250-220=30whp for this "another mod", it's a no no.

they claim that it takes about 2-3 weeks to get all the parts. I am unsure where they are getting the cats from but I think it is from the far east. That sounds about right plus the production of the cat itself.

I love the idea and I am down with a deposit as soon as we can see a before and after dyno on a stock car. Seems the info had a lot of variables. Again great Idea great product just wanted to see a second dyno before dropping 1K + dollars.

Guys if he is getting parts from out of the country the lead time by boat right now is crazy. I found that out the hard way. Now on top of that copyright issues"As far as some of my products". So bare with the guy he will come threw as fast as he can i am sure. This process is a very long one and is not that easy I am sure RonJon can second that. Also you would think there is a ton of profit envovled by the time your all done there is not. So again give him a breather.

Everyone car is different remember that. What is there to believe the car made 21whp without any issues at all that's well over 300hp at the flywheel. think about it the supercharger makes only 30 more than what i have and it's 4k not including install. Hey i had blkynpanaman in my car for the forum and he loved it.

I dont think that its a problem with beleiving you but I think others just want to see numbers from other cars before they spend the 1k on the system. me i just went out and took the dive to buy it. I beleive that it will give the increase i need. i am holding off on the S/C becuase I want to give it a couple of months to see if there is any more issues before i install it.

He came for a dyno we found out the car was running WAY to lean he has to get it fixed. We are going to try and hook up again Friday if he get's it fixed. Comptech has a shitty way of rasing the fuel pressure they tell you to crush the regulator to raise the pressure. THAT'S A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. Had i not told him to come for the dyno he would ever blown his car up for sure in a few more day's. Comptech needs to come up with a better regulator instead of this crushing crap. His car was making no power at all like 215who at 5800 but the car was running out of fuel that was the problem it will make a lot more than that once he get's it fixed.

omg 17's under full boost?wow,
That happend to me before on my turbo sentra but i got wideband gauge so as soon i saw my numbers 15's i let go of the gas. Having a wideband gauge on any s/c or tubo car is a must.

why is it that blkpanman is the only one with this problem. A few others have the supercharger and they are not having fuel reg problems.

Im in the same boat but I have to look at the damn thing every day in my room. its so hard not to just say screw it and throw it on but I just want to make sure that when they dyno my car with the headers that it is not to much leaner and that it will screw up the A/F ratio.

why don't you ask bklynpanman.. why don't you all relax and wait until i get it fixed. I will find out thursday what the problem is.. something small with the regulator or a defective black box.. most likely the regulator.. hang tight

good luck with it, hope for the best! You are lucky that you caught the problem before any major damage. But I hope it is a defective box, other wise comptech has some problems, to deal with. In an earlier post somewhere you said that it looses boost at a certain rpm, is that the jerkin issue?

I have 1100 miles on my s/c and don't have the problems that bklynpanman is having other than the occasional surging in 2nd and 3rd gear. The surging isn't a big deal IMHO.
