I don't think you guys realize that I'm up in Portsmouth, NH while my car is in Groton, CT; so it's kinda hard for me to do anything with it.

Blackura_NY, you selling the ride soon? If so, why? Sorry to get off topic but Allon said something I never thought he would.

nah, not definitely.. but i have become a power-whore..... and i need more power... if this kit bolts on, and makes ... say... a fair 50whp, with a safe a/f ratio (without having to tune it) i am gonna buy the kit and install it myself....

Its mostly my own fault.. i modded the type-s WAY to quickly.. and now im f*ing bored with it !!! there is practically nothing left i can do to my car... unless i start spending the BIG bucks (s/c, f/r BBK, 3pc wheels)

you'll always find something else to do... trust me.... just when you think theres nothing left

i was gonna get a front and rear BBK (14" 2pc up front, 13" 2pc rear 4pot) but its like $3600 shipped.... i would rather spend a few hundred more for the s/c..... but i REALLY need to see whats good with this guys type-s... does it make power, is the car running safe... how close to knock is he getting??

just an FYI to the OP and installer, i would definitely install a knock warning light or something... after reading about types-09 blowing a rod through his block..... most likely from detontation .... it worries me

if he can put down 320-330hp with his 6spd, safely..... i will buy this.... and shoot for 330whp with my 5AT and all the mods i have with it...

Funny, I feel the opposite. I'm actually satisified that I'm almost done with mine.

A/F gauge, custom SC CAI, and that goddam front motor mount (under the SC) is all I got left to do.
I might do a black painted roof and CF hood, if I can find one.

Anyway, it's good this way... All my spare cash has been going to firearm and ammo purchases, hedging an antigun administration may have thier way with our gun laws.

Anyway
Has this 3.5L S myth been busted yet?

holy crap!! where you been man??

We dont know anything yet! He said he installed, and heard the "whine" but no updates since.. i've been following this thread for months hoping to get a solid answer as to the safety and reliability of the this blower.. and the power it makes

we all know the M62 is barely enough for the 3.2L.... will it even make decent #'s on the 3.5L ?? Thats what im trying to find out!!

Mad work, seriously, non stop since October. Won a 30M account. Big deal for me. Lots of certification tests too. Then holidays, then dad with a heart attack... It's been one thing after another.

Things are finally settling back down, and warm weather coming. Time to spend some time in the show and shine forum.

Link me into Type-S09;s blown motor, what happened?

the regular pulley may not even be making 5lbs of boost on the engine.. most 3.2L owners varied from 4-5, so its possible you might only make 4lbs....

make sure to install some guages though, seriously... 04accordcpe mentioned it before too... monitor that stuff just to be safe....and a boost gauge would be a nice touch too.. maybe even oil/water temps....

im real curious to see how this cars a/f runs.... make sure to get a/f readings from the dyno...

so, did everything bolt in 100%? including the main bracket that bolts to the transmission mount?

has his vtec engagement point been lowers with the ACM ?? i believe its supposed to go from like 4700 to 3000 or something

oh and for dyno #'s... depending on the dyno used... 400whp mayyyy be a bit of stretch...

i am FULLY bolted up, 2.5" out of the block, and a generous dyno pulled 293.xx whp on my 5AT.... so that same dyno, with a 6MT, i would expect like 315whp... so with the blower, HBP ... and a SERIOUSLY LEGIT tune, the car can make 380-390whp in my opinion
11:1??????? Wow.

Car's still in the body shop. When he started to peel the masking tape off of the sunroof, a chip of clear coat came up with the tape. He had to feather the chip out and re-clear the whole car. That was done this past weekend. If all goes well, I should be able to drive the car this weekend. Crappy part is the bent up hood is still on the car. The new CF hood isn't coming 'til beginning of March. Just hope it's soon enough so that it'll be on for the starting of the meets.

Also jumped in on the A-spec group buy, so that should be coming soon as well

Was thinking the same thing. Shit...I race mine and never had any problem. Personally...I think the MT guys have more failures or issues when installing superchargers than the AT guys do on 3rd Gens. I think that is 2nd Gen paranoia still in the air as the AT's in 2nd Gens didnt do well at all now did they? lol

^ I'm interested in checking out that radar detector you have! I have been debating on which one to get...I picked up a passport but gave it to my brother so I'm still undecided.

My buddy in college had a nitrous VW Corrado VR6 and and only knew 2 speeds: fast and faster. He wouldn't go anywhere without his Valentine 1. Said it saved him more times than he can count. Heard it's a favorite for truckers, too.

Personally, from conversations I've had with cops, if they really want to get you all that detector is gonna tell you is that your toast.

If you're in the Tristate area, all radar detectors are practically useless. I own a V1, so being honest. The only way to make a radar detector useful is to get one coupled to a blinder system since 99% of cops in NY/NJ/CT use laser now. A V1 is garbage against laser detection, for that fact all radar detectors are against laser. The only thing that it does is scan for Infinities!

My suggestion, V1 + Blinder. I'm gonna invest in this over the summer.

I'm so excited about gettin to drive my car this weekend. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep for the rest of the week. All are welcome to attend the dyno, but as subsonicman said, it's still a work in progress, so please, like mama always said (in a thick southern drawl), "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". But, seriously if you wanna come, come, if not, well, f*ck you! JP. Hope to see some of you there.
