hey guys I insatlled the pipe today, it was a bitch to get 1 or 2 bolts off, but I suceeded. I can definitely feel the gains at mid to high rpms. The powerband is definitely better. No clearance issue whatsoever, it has about 2 inches from the oil pan and even with konis and s techs there is still plenty of room...

Al, what did you do? Heat it up and bend it? Did you get the pipe after mike fixed the clearance issue?

This j-pipe is actually a $500 modification because you have to drive around wide open throttle all week long so you can feel the power! I'm loving it.

his was after Mike fixed it I believe

Mine was heated and bent, and i have just about the same amount of clearance on their. If you have any problems with yours, Sal will take care of it, but all the new pipes shouldnt be a problem

I dunno if mike actually did make a change... but if he did... then ok

I did find how you guys might have installed it incorrectly... it requires adjustment with the hanger

I put the 3 bolts like on a wheel.... in axis order... then left them loose and played around with the fitment

ps. I have the procats... maybe that contributed to extending the space... and as for the loss of low end torque... MYTH

good luck... just make sure you have all 9 bolts on, and assure the space is there before you tighten, I work from rear to front...

tighten the jpipe to 3rd cat first (adjust the hanger accordingly <- crucial)
then rear primary to jpipe
and then finally front primary to jpipe

do not tighten if the space isn't there

Did the install this morning, about 40 minutes to total...
Fitment was perfect, plenty of space between oil pan..

The car feels more responsive, much better mid-range..

Thanks Mike for a quality product!!!

i'm really happy for you guys. Finally you got to enjoy the power of your 3.2L those 3 cats is what really killed it IMO...

how big is this J-pipe? If this is like 3.0" i'm going to get one too. Comptechs' has like 2.0" or something and torque on my car powns me at launching my car, getting this will give me more HP and less tq i guess...

I can't wait till I get this...I raced a G35 Coupe Auto (he was stock) this morning on my way to work...I used the paddle shifters and damn the ur pulley and the p2r spacer made a heck of a difference...the shift from 1st to 2nd was great and pulled me past him about 2 car lengths...but after the j-pipe i bet the TL would do a lot better.

weather turned nice with cool air and lower humidity. its a different beast with the j-pipe. extra torque throughout the powerband is amazing. filled my gas tank on thursday and i'm left with less than a quarter

Great f@ckin time, Siggy! was this with your high boost setup? My ultimate goal is to be faster than a E46. I think they run in the mid-13's.

guys remember a deposit buys a spot... acceptance of a deposit is a contract...

mike is obliged to hold the spots for those who have paid the deposit... it will require authorization forrom those who have made the deposit and wish to get extensions... as mike mentioned prior

I was joking, but really, how long does he have to keep pushing the straglers? Everyone should be paid in full by now! So if you haven't paid please do, becuase there are plentyof people in line afterward that have done so and want your spot!!
