Got mine installed by Josh from EXCELERATE PERFORMANCE on Monday. You can certainly notice a difference in power along the mid-range. As always Josh did a great job. Next mod will probably have to be his exhaust. It really sounds great and the resonated version is easy on my geriatric ears.

Have you ever heard Stage 3 exhaust? If so, how would you compare the resonated version of Excelerate's exhaust to it? Thanks.

Yeah, I've listened to that over and over, but sound clips aren't the most accurate way to guage an exhaust's sound, and I don't want to make a $1,000 mistake. Did you ride in one with the resonated version or just hear it from the outside? What about the non resonated?

My suggestion would be to give Josh a call. He's informative and won't BS you.

As I said he's done all my installs and I have been happy with all. Maybe he can give you some names of members that can help.

$1,000 mistake? Huh? The J-Pipe's are around $400, right? Are you counting paying someone another $600 to install it or something?

If you go back and re-read posts 955 through 959 slowly, all will be well.

Ah, someone was trying to "hi-jack" this thread for a different purpose. I see now. It just looked odd when there was no appropriate qualification for the statement (in the statement). No problem.

^Remove nine nuts; remove old A-pipe; hold new A-pipe in place; put nine nuts back on (don't tighten all the way); make sure everything is lined up and clear; tighten the nuts (40 lb ft if you want to be really techinical).

This is the most straightforward mod there is (unless you count changing light bulbs as a mod). It's not necessarily the easiest due to rusted nuts/bolts, but it is simple from a what's-technically-required standpoint.

Ok so what's the deal here. I have stock exhaust and I've been interested in the J pipe for some time now. Would doing this mod with a stock exhaust be worth it for me?

I dont have the cash at this time for a cat back system.

I'm currently running it on the stock exhaust system, and I still feel a very solid gain.
