I will find out what increase the Greddy Evo 2, P2R Spacer, and Sun Auto Ground/Voltage kit gives for the TL...I was a little more than 240 whp with jsut an intake so im hoping for over 255whp..my guess tho is around 250-255 whp..not bad for some simple bolt ons...
I will get some more video and compose it into one long video..

just installed - the videos really don't do it justice - the sound is sweeeeeeeet, especially at WOT. At idle, you barely hear it, but give it a little gas, heavy drone... It's vibrating my whole dashboard - wifey's already pissed - she said she heard me coming from a block away although I was gunning it a little. I'm gonna give it a few weeks, but I think I'm gonna be installing a resonator. As for those who are selling the system because of the noise, U R SICK - how could you not fall in love with that sound - only thing that sounds better is american V8, like mustang or vette (my 'stang is coming in late 08 )

Was this increase just adding the GReddy exhaust or the combination including the P2R Spacer and Sun Auto Ground/Voltage kit ?

I didn't install it myself though. I went to a nice place around my way, paid an arm and a leg but it was worth the excellent attention to detail that they gave. I really do feel a boost in power with this thing on, I love it.

Took mine to the local mechanic who does my oil changes - charged me $50. Alignment is very slightly off but I'll have them adjust later cuz I was in a hurry. Was a real bitch getting the stock system back home - had to come home and get my truck to go get it and still had to leave the rear hatch open for the ride home cuz it was so long. I see the stock exhaust has a big resonator AND a mid-muffler. Now I see why the GReddy is so loud - I think I do feel a little extra power, though. I dunno if I can deal with the drone for 80-90 miles a day....

exhaust

I installed the exhaust and found out that the right is sticking out half a inch more then the left side. My mechanic tried to adjust the right or the left but no help. Well it seems like it is design like that if you guys take the post #1 picture draws a line across then you will see it.

The exhaust is loud to my personal opinion. I am not complaining though. Anyone has installed the resonator yet?

Well Let see who else is having the same issue. Maybe you are just lucky getting the well balanced Y pipe -- 2 cents.

Greddy --is this a street legal exhaust since this thing is so loud afraid of pulling over n getting a ticket like one of the member here. I just wanted to make sure I have something to prove while in court LOL.

Good question - I have my doubts as well.. This thing is friggin' LOUD. Above 3.5K RPM, the sound is as sweet as could be. Under 3K RPM, the drone is vibrating my whole interior and I'm setting off car alarms as I drive-by - the drone is - dare I say - ricey.... I can't even remote start my car from the driveway because it vibrates the house and wakes everyone up - this is NOT how a luxury car should sound and I gotta say I'm a little disappointed. Most here voted for more power as opposed to less sound (not me) but this is more than I think anyone bargained for. I'm gonna give it some time to settle in, but I am either gonna install a resonator or go back to stock. I'm worried that the wrong choice in resonator could make the sound worse... Should I just go to the local muffler shop and see what they say?

On the plus side, this thing is one hell of an attention-getter!! People either stare as I go by or wanna race me - I think it sounds a lot better from the outside, but I gotta drive 90 miles a day and this thing is giving me a headache... and DAMN it looks good, too....

dude this exhaust is nothing compared to some of the others out there...it is 50 state legal for emissions and Db...so stop whining and either keep it on there and be happy or put your other exhaust back on...if we keep on looking like a bunch of 3rd grade girls whining about everything, we can kiss our hopes of other parts being produced by greddy and any other manufacturers that are interested...we knew what was coming and majority rules said larger piping..no one made you buy the exhaust

I'd like to see what Chris would suggest for a mid-muffler or resonator for this system. Anyone who is going to do this should obviously get a stainless one. I would really like to calm this puppy down alittle.

I'm starting to get pissed off when people say whining is stating your opinion. I haven't seen anyone whining, people have said its louder than they expected. And asking how to quiet it down. No one is asking to return it based on it being loud. They want proof of it being legal, so give them that info.

What luxury car exhausts does this not compare to? I've never heard a IS350 drive by sounding like a rice rocket. Never heard a BMW 328 drive by my house and rattle the windows with drone. What does your comments serve to answer his question? If you don't think this system is loud you're fucking deaf.

Well said. I love the way it sounds at start up and above 3k but 2-3k can get pretty loud to the point of annoying depending on how you drive it. This is my first exhaust so I didn't even know what a drone was...I figured it out in less than a minute.

I've actually been "experimenting" on different ways to drive. I find myself excelerating fairly quickly in first to get the rpms above 3k right away. I used to shift around 3k - 3.5k under normal driving but now find myself cruising at that same level and not shifting until closer to 4k.

All in all, I like the exhaust and would buy it again giving what I know now. The looks are right on and I can definitely feel more power. I guess two out of three ain't bad!

What's with the hostility, dawg? I know you're 19, but if you can honestly say that this thing isn't loud then you need to get your hearing checked. In the early posts when this exhaust was first dreamt up, everyone was concerned about drone and that's exactly what we got and loads of it. I have stated many times how grateful I am to GReddy and topckret for making this exhaust a reality. It is a beautiful piece of equipment, and very well-made. I am stating that the exhaust is MUCH louder than I was expecting - not whining. I'm not asking GReddy to refund my money, I'm just asking for ideas on making the exhaust easier to live with for those of us who are past their "rice-rocket" years and looking to ride with some degree of class AND sport. We've already had 1 member get pulled over (in my neck of woods, in fact) for the noise so apparently my statements have merit. I, too, hope that maybe GReddy can make some resonator suggestions because I know they have other systems that are quieter than this. If they sell them, maybe can they make some more $$ - so chill out and don't flame people for stating their opinions.

BTW - Merry Christmas 2 ya!

Is 2-3k rpm the worse range? How bad is it under 2K? I drive under 2k ~80% of the times.

Yes thats the worst range, under 2k isn't horrible really. But the drone is right in the sweet spot of the rpm range.

If the sound and looks a greddy Evo2 makes when mated with a J32 Honda Motor doesnt put a smile on your face, then you don't belong here. Smile or get out girlies.

I've never seen these things in my life - how the hell do they install? Do you just shove them up the ass of the mufflers? Do they really work? It couldn't be this easy...

It's not to loud for me, It's perfect and controllable and those cops were out of line that pulled me over. I was at idle at a stop light and they just saw a 26 year old black guy in a nice car so they pulled me, saying," um your tints and exhaust".Yet gave me no ticket for my tints and a warning summons to come to court for my exhaust. They were just trying to make quota for the end of the month! This exhaust on my car at least has set off not one car alarm and is 110% legal. Ny DB limit is 95 and Greddy states on their site that their exhuasts do no go over 95, they also pass emissions. So guys just chill on the hostility and let everyone do what they want. If it's too loud for someone then point them in the direction of a silencer or resonator and let them have their opinions. Everyone can not be pleased. I respect your comments 100% jetblaktl, and I know that this mod isn't for everyone so I'm with you even though I love mine. Merry christmas everyone it's turkey time for me!
